I hired Justin to play at my husband’s birthday party after receiving a recommendation from a friend who had seen him perform at a wedding.
He was upbeat, fun and engaging. The music was a perfect backdrop for a celebration!
We hired Justin to play at our rehearsal dinner and thought he was amazing. We first heard him play at local venues and knew we wanted him to be part of our wedding! He was professional, personable and easy to work with. He made the evening fun and really made all the difference in our rehearsal dinner. I would highly recommend him!!
Justin Derman played during my niece’s cocktail hour at her wedding this past weekend. What a great performer. My husband and I were so impressed, that we actually had to talk to him after the cocktail hour. He’s a great guy and even better performer. I will definitely keep him in mind when it’s time to plan for my own children’s weddings. My niece and her new husband were very happy with the music they picked for him to play. He is very professional and talented at what he does.
The steel drum player at my sisters wedding was amazing. He performed the ceremony and cocktail hour. He did a great job creating a relaxing and romatic atmosphere. He made sure we all happy and content. A sure winner in my book! My sister couldn't have booked a better performer.
Justin performed the cocktail hour at our wedding. He was outstanding, played all of the songs we requested. Many of our guests complemented how he enhanced our caribbean theme. Justin was ontime, professional and very caring. He really made our cocktail hour fun and entertaining. I would highly recommend him for your next wedding or party.
We hired Justin after watching him perform at a local bar, where he had background music playing through speakers which must have made him sound better than he actually was. He did show up on time, and did play at the wedding, but without a back track playing behind him, the songs we asked him to play were hardly recognizable.
The bigger issue was that immediately after the cocktail hour, and during the reception Justin rudely demanded payment. It was in the contract that he was to be paid immediately following the performance, but this contract was signed 9 months before the wedding, and during our infrequent contact between that time and our wedding there was no mention of when payment was expected. Here's some free advice Justin, if you are going to demand to be paid from the bride and groom during their wedding reception, it would be a good idea to remind them beforehand, since you clearly are not shy about collecting your fee, if you want to be paid, remind people before the wedding when they have the ability to bring their check, not at the wedding. And not for nothing, but it would have been much less unpleasant if you actually seemed to care at all if we liked the performance before demanding your fee. Would not reccomend to anyone.
