When I was looking for vendors for everything that I needed – dress, venue, cake, flowers, DJ, caterer, photographer/videographer…it was quite overwhelming for all the offerings provided. And, these helped me to set vendors apart for who were the cream of the crop versus vendors in which I may be concerned about using on a special day. We haven't even seen our wedding video yet, but after seeing the love story video they put together I know we are going to be blown away. He worked his tail off during our wedding, and we could not be more happy with our whole experience with them. rehearsal dinner night before my wedding in an email, didn’t even make a phone call in person to let me know. Since I was obviously busy I didn’t see the email until I was getting hair and makeup done for my wedding that he wasn’t coming. He claims he wasn’t feeling good and couldn’t make it, even though I spoke to him two days before discussing details and such and he said he was ready to fly out. They hired a guy in Denver to come out and do our video that I had never spoken to and provided no contact information. When we booked them, they were based in Denver, we paid a travel fee since they had to drive to Breckenridge, due to covid we had to change locations last minute to a Golden. Because we changed to a closer venue I asked if we would be refunded our travel fee and he said that they were now based out of Texas and since they had to fly out, the travel fee would really help them. Trying to be nice, I said that’s fine, keep it (even though them moving states wasn’t my problem or in the contract). He then never flew out and never refunded me the travel fee claiming he had to pay the guy that did show up, again not my problem. I had discussed specifically that I wanted getting ready footage and first look footage which I got neither. Didn’t get footage of my dad seeing me or my mom. We booked the highlighted package where the video is supposed to be 3-8 mins. When we got our video back it was 3:50, so the bare minimum. None of my husbands family was in it at all or his parents. We booked the winter special which included free raw footage and free best wishes from guests and never got the best wishes since the guy that showed up wasn’t told. When I asked Storm about it he said, “well I’m sorry you didn’t receive your free best wishes”. I had to pay and additional $500 to have another company create a wedding video for us since the first one by Justin Ruiz company was so bad. When I would email it would takes weeks and sometimes me emailing twice to even get a response. Long story short, they were the biggest regret of my wedding and now I’m left with memories missed, lots of frustration and a company that didn’t seem to understand the stress on canceling on someone’s wedding day. Completely unprofessional.

nsive they can be and I was very sad to realize that it just wouldn't fit into our budget. Luckily, it didn't take long for our wedding planner to find Justin Ruiz Media. As soon as she sent his information to me, I went straight to his website. I watched a few of the highlight videos and instantly fell in love with his work. We booked the biggest package he offers and it was still within our budget. My only complaint is that from the time of booking until now, there have many times that I felt like there was a lack of communication on their end by not replying to emails in a timely manner. There was a lot of stress leading up to the wedding because I hadn't heard from Justin in a few months prior to the wedding and my wedding planner had a hard time getting into contact with them as well. I found that the best way to get in contact with him is through Instagram, to which he almost always replies immediately. He arrived on time to our wedding and stayed for the agreed upon amount of time. Him and his team were very professional and captured all of the most important shots that we wanted them to, along with a few shots that I didn't even know they were getting. We ran into the dilemma that our wedding would end later than we had paid them to stay which would mean they wouldn't capture our sparkler send off. Justin had the great idea of doing a "fake" sendoff by doing the sparkler send off a few hours before the wedding actually ended. This proved very very helpful because some of our guests weren't able to stay all the way till the end, so having the sparkler sendoff not only allowed us to get footage of it, but it also gave our guests a good time to leave early if they needed to (we had a Sunday wedding). Justin and his team did an amazing job of staying out of view in almost every single shot. They captured our first dance PERFECTLY. I must have replayed our highlight video hundreds of times by now because it is everything I wanted it to be. It took a little longer than expected to receive our full length video, but once we did, we loved it. There were a few edits that I asked him to make, and he was happy to do so. He sent us the video back after the edits and we love it! I should also mention that I like that we get to choose the songs that they use for both the highlight and the full length video. They asked us to send over a list of songs that they could pick from based on what matched the videos the best. I also requested a few other videos of raw footage and he was happy to send those my way. Aside from the lack of communication in the beginning (after the wedding, communication has been much better), I would say that his team was very professional, affordable, and accommodating. If you like the videos that you see on his website, then you should book him! The style of our highlight and full-length video is exactly what we expected it to be and we will recommend Justin Ruiz Media to any of our friends and family who may need a videographer. A huge thank you to Justin and his team for providing us with great memories of one of the best days of our lives!

if it was possible for them to mimic another video I had seen and I was assured, it wouldn’t be a problem. Then we didn’t really communicate for the next 8 months before the wedding until my wedding planner called me saying she has reached out to him multiple times with no response to give him the details and timeline... I had to email him and he finally responded to me with an apology but still never responded to my wedding planner to confirm so at our final walk through she still wasn’t confident he would show up. Thankfully he did, and everything seemed ok until the end of the night when my wedding planner came up to me to confirm that she could distribute the gratuity checks to all my vendors and then advised me not to give it to my videographer cause of things he had done through the night. I just went with her advice (but I still ended up tipping him through Venmo cause I felt bad) We finally get our video several months later and it’s nothing like the video I asked him to mimic. I sent him a nice email telling him that, he apologized and said he’d re-do it. 7 weeks later he sent me virtually the same video... just in slightly different order and music. I didn’t want to wait another 7 weeks or have him redo it again to get the same results. So yeah... we have a video of our wedding day, which is great. But I never posted the highlight cause it’s just not great and the lack of communication and the report my wedding planner gave to me just was disappointing over all.

anted to stay within budget. When I came across Justin Ruiz Media I absolutely fell in love with the video aesthetic, it was just what I was looking for in a highlight video. Reaching out for pricing and package information was pretty immediate. The price surprised me after getting a few quotes in the upper thousands from other vendors in my area. All the reviews were mostly positive so I felt comfortable moving forward. A few red flags came up during the process. The first was the form of payment which was through Venmo by a person named Storm not Justin. This stressed me out a bit because it's a very informal way of paying especially paying so much. I wanted to make sure this was legit so I called and spoke to Justin. He assured me he had a team in Denver and this was how they were to be paid. After the conversation we decided to move forward and sign our contract. I didn't hear back from Justin Ruiz Media until a day or two before the wedding. The wedding was about 2 weeks away and by this time all of my vendors had reached out. I started to panic a bit. Justin/Storm asked that we email him two of the songs we choose back when we signed the contract. I emailed him a month before the wedding with the songs and heard nothing back. No confirmation, nothing. I sent maybe 3 emails hoping to hear back and still nothing. I was stressed. The first thought was they took our money and bailed. I was so stressed. I called Justin and he didn't seem too concerned and there were no apologies for the lack of communication. He said Storm would be into contact the week before the wedding. The week of the wedding came and still no email to confirm any details. It wasn't until my fiance had to call Justin that I received a call from Storm confirming the details of our wedding. I was so nervous they weren't going to show. To my surprise Storm showed up on time and with a shooting partner. I was relived. The team was super professional and did a great job on the day. He sent a venmo request for the remaining of the payment the day after and asked for the two songs for the video (which were already provided in an email a month ago). The lack of communication continued while waiting for the video. I knew the video was going to take some time. In the contract it stated up to 8 weeks. I sent an email half way through the time frame asking for an update. An email was sent back to me a week later stating we would receive the video the following Monday. Monday came no video and no email. Again, I was annoyed by the lack of communication from Justin Ruiz Media. I wrote another email a week later asking if I may have missed the video. I didn't receive anything. It wasn't until about a week after the email I wrote that we finally received the video link. We loved the video! They did a great job. Especially for the price we paid. I understand having teams across 2 different states can be challenging but we would have really appreciated better communication. It caused a bit of unnecessary stress. If they communicated better everything would have been perfect. Wedding planning is stressful and there is so much communication that needs to be done. You're juggling between 12 different vendors. It would have been a much better experience if Justin Ruiz Media understood that.

They captured the magic of the first look/ceremony and the fun of the reception. They were a little late arriving, so they missed some of the "getting ready" shots, but we were able to re-create them and they offered to stay a little later to make up for it. After the wedding, I did have to repeatedly follow up to see when we could expect it/ask a question, often with no response. You can't help but worry a little about what could have happened with technology, things not getting captured/erased etc. When we did get a hold of Justin, he was very nice and it was sent over right away (even a week early!). And they even sent us a copy of our first dances as a separate video because we worked so hard going to dance lessons before the wedding and none of the guests got it on video! The video is great and we've replayed it so many times already. Overall, we would recommend them to anyone needing a videographer.

They accidentally missed one of the pre-ceremony happenings, and so Justin was nice enough to offer to stay until the end of the reception to make up for it. My only reason for doing 4 stars instead of 5 is that it took longer than the 6 weeks stated in the contract to receive the media, and I had to repeatedly follow up and ask for it, often to no response. It never feels great to feel like you're bugging someone, but you gotta do what you gotta do! Overall, would highly recommend to anyone needing a videographer.

They captured some awesome moments without us even noticing they were there. I would highly suggest splurging the extra $ for the drone, it just adds so much to the final video product! Also the full length video will include speeches which I think will be cool to look back on years from now (worth it!!!) 5 months later and I still watch my video all the time and tear up :)

he bridal remorse... the dread of not capturing our choreographed ballroom style first dance and not being able to share the wedding with my grandmother, who at the last minute would not be able to attend. One week before our wedding, I panicked and started researching. I wanted something simple to cover the ceremony and nothing too flashy. I'm not one for cameras and didn't know how it would feel having video cameras follow us around all night. Thankfully, I found Justin quickly through The Knot, looked through reviews and video samples and left him a message. He was very quick to follow up via email and we had a great phone conversation soon after. He was very friendly, professional, and put all my nerves at ease. Justin was very responsive, coordinated with our event planner, and was able to get all set up with his team, even though our first time to meet was in my wedding dress on the big day. He and his filming partner were a wonderful team! My husband and I were able to have our first look, vows, dance, etc. without feeling like we were in a reality tv show. Going back to look at the footage after the wedding was a pure joy. The day of the wedding was a blur and I felt like I was going to miss so much of it. Justin and his team did what they do best and captured it all. He did a wonderful job with the editing, sending me a preview of the full length movie that we were able to review and download before receiving DVD copies and USB drive in the mail. He even went back and created a 3-minute highlight film after the fact. A little shorter to share with friends and family! I cannot wait to share the DVD with my grandmother as a surprise! My most important photos - those of me with my husband and with our families - are BLURRY, out of focus, and poorly formatted. The quality of the videos- both full and the highlight- are mediocre. The full video is worse - wobbly, out of focus, poorly formatted shots as well. I asked specifically to have my entire ceremony filmed, and despite being reassured multiple times that it was filmed in its entirety, the footage begins after the service starts. It looks to be of the same quality as if I’d given a camcorder to someone with no filming experience, and it took three edits to get it to its final state. When we addressed all these issues with Justin and Storm - after we finally received our pictures and videos (both were delivered weeks after their promised date, and only after I asked about them), they responded rudely and unprofessionally. They begrudgingly gave us a partial refund for one of the services. I hired them because it seemed (based on these reviews and the samples they provide) as if they would provide good product for the price, but knowing what I know now, I would have paid twice the amount to have decent photographs and videos of our wedding. Hiring them was undoubtedly the biggest mistake I made in vendor choice. I urge you to not make the same mistake I made.

I was a little worried that because he was so much more affordable than others maybe the quality wouldn't have been as good... NOT THE CASE AT ALL. The day of the wedding Justin and his assistant showed up on time, immediately began working, and were just SO sweet. I know I saw him once he got there but I feel like I never saw him again. He simply blended in so perfectly that I completely forgot we were being videotaped. My husband said the same thing. About 5 weeks after the wedding we got the video. SO FAST. I've already lost count at how many times we have watched the video. I cried multiple times because I just could not believe that he captured every special moment so perfectly. The quality of the video was amazing and I am just floored that we were able to find this amazing person. We of course loved our wedding photos (from another vendor) but the video is priceless to us. If you are even a little on the fence about it, let me tell you, I would have gladly paid Justin 3 times what we did to get the product he provided to us. We cannot say thank you to Justin enough. BOOK HIM ASAP!!!

Let me tell you, him and his girlfriend(who helped film along with him) were incredible and so professional! Heck, they were the first vendors to arrive at our venue at Arrowhead Golf Club in Littleton, CO. The price was so cheap in comparison to the other videographers out there, and I feel that their work was as good if not better than the other "dynamic packages" that some videographers want to charge you 4 mortgage payments for. Suffice to say, I am recommending EVERYONE in the state of Colorado to immediately get in touch with Storm for any of their videographer needs. Storm, again, thank you so much. The videos came out perfect and really captured me and Kristine's special day.
