guest loved the food. we had both ceremony and reception here and the flow of events was perfect for our guest. everyone at the hotel was very friendly and accommodating the entire wedding weekend. its a little pricey but it was worth it and my bridal suite was unbelievable. i only wished that their skyline rooms had higher ceilings.
The sales experience was excellent. I will not take that away from this hotel. Our sales person worked with us and made sure we had the best food and alcohol in our contract, howev...
er the planning process was not what I expected. Maybe I was expecting the event planner to contact me to at least say "Thank you. We look forward to your event" or something along those lines. I personally feel the event planner was not very helpful. He was a little standoffish but in the end, I guess came through. He did go out of his way during the set-up. He made the ballroom look beautiful! However the major problems during our recpetion: First, the food service (which was the best wedding food ever) was soooo slow!!! Our schedule was thrown off becuase of their slow service. We actually had to pay our videographer another hour to stay and record the actual important moments. For example, the father/daughter dance, cake cutting, money dance, speeches and the toss. Secondly, we had candles on each table and uplighing in the ballroom; unfortunately the employees could not turn off the lights. So the candles and the uplighting were a waste because no one really got to see it with all of the ballroom lights on. And most importantly (at least to us) the entire top layer of our cake went missing after their banquet manager decided to place the cake on a guest table when it should have been brought up to our room with the rest of the food! The only way they made up is by giving us a free night to celebrate our 1 yr there. Big deal! I wanted that cake. It is a tradition to keep the cake for a year as a good luck charm, unfortunately they did not give us that option since they lost our cake. Everyone had a great time and didnt even realize what was going on, but because I was the bride and had planned this for the last year or so, I noticed all the little things. I really wish I could give this hotel more stars but the slow food service, lighting not working most of the night AND misplacing the top layer of our cake--I cant/wont. They need to be on top of their services way more!
