A friend suggested I hire a wedding planner, but I was hesitant due to my very type-A personality, and knowing that I would want to be involved in every step of the process – even from 1,200+ miles away. K EVENTS was recommended by couple friends in the area who hired her for their weddings so I decided to reach out to the owner, Katie Hernandez. After 10 minutes of conversation, I knew Katie was the person the job. Katie instantly was warm, friendly and very professional. She listened well and quickly grasped my vision for our wedding. I had heard horror stories of wedding planning and how stressful it can be for the couple and families involved. I can honestly say I had no such experience and I tribute that completely to Katie and her team. Katie was an absolute delight to work with. That was made clear to use not only from our first hand-experiences with her, but via the kinds of relationships she maintains with vendors. Katie was so hands-on and incredibly committed - from frequent calls to review every detail, contract and vendor conversation to sharing ideas and enhancing the vision we had. There was no request too big or small for Katie and her team. Katie even helped my husband pull off a surprise performance for me during our wedding. I had no idea, and even with me being involved in every aspect of the wedding, Katie pulled this off with him and it was one of my favorite moments from the day. Katie went above and beyond to ensure that the wedding planning process was seamless and efficient. I was completely relaxed leading up to our wedding knowing that we were in the best hands. My mother-in-law even hired K Events to plan our rehearsal dinner which was also amazing. My husband and I had complete trust in Katie, and our wedding day was absolute perfection thanks to her and her team. We could not be more grateful to have had the pleasure to work with Katie, and will be hiring K EVENTS for all of our event planning needs here on out. After the excitement of the engagement, the entire wedding process feels overwhelming and planning a cross-country destination wedding seemed like it would be even harder, but it couldn't have been easier for us. I am a perfectionist, always have been and always will, but Katie and her team handled everything we asked of her and even took care of the things that we didn't even know we needed. From our original brainstorming meetings, to choosing flowers and linens, and up to our wedding day, I felt so comforted to know we were in such great hands and that nothing was slipping through the cracks. No matter what obstacles came up, we truly felt like Katie was always there for us, providing us the best advice based on her years of experience and fighting for us. Katie did so much more than plan our wedding (and my amazing bridal shower), she genuinely cared about us as a couple, our story, our vision of the wedding, and most importantly that we could relax and enjoy the wedding process and our wedding day. With all the DIY blogs and Pinterest boards, people sometimes think a wedding planner is an expense they can do without and that's only because they haven't worked with K Events. I recommend K Events to everyone I know for all their event planning needs. I cannot thank the K Events team, especially Katie, enough for everything they did. RFECT! It was everything we wanted and more! Katie was truly the best help throughout the whole planning process and made the planning A LOT less stressful. She went above and beyond for everything. From meeting with the vendors and venues, to being at every single meeting we had, Katie was always there to make sure everything was going in the right direction. Katie is extremely detail-oriented and made sure everything was covered and taken care of. She made sure to keep me on track with things and would always reach out to me to make sure I did what needed to be done, which helped so much because with work and school I would forget things.
