K. Mae Weddings

I'm Katrina - the founder and coordinator behind K. Mae Weddings. I'm based in Bluffdale, Utah, I'm a first-generation Filipina-American, and I got into wedding coordination the way most good things happen: a job posting five minutes from my house, a cover letter that explained I had zero wedding experience but meant every word of it, and an interview where the lead planner was initially confused and then said yes anyway. I spent time coordinating weddings in Colorado and loved it more than I expected to. Not because weddings are glamorous (though they are), but because of what it actually feels like to hand a couple back their day. To watch everyone just be present. To know that nothing fell through because I made sure it didn't. My background is in platform engineering. I spent years in tech solving complex, high-stakes problems where the details mattered and the margin for error was small. That's not a pivot from wedding coordination, funny enough. It's exactly the same skill set in a much better setting. I specialize in intimate weddings. The ones where the guest list was hard to cut because every person there actually means something. The ones where the couple did the planning themselves and did it well and just needs someone to execute it on the day without anything being dropped. That's what I do. I come in 4 to 6 weeks before your wedding, learn everything you've built, and run the day so you don't have to. I'm also getting married this June - six people, two dogs, Snow Canyon State Park, and DIY grocery store flowers. So I know exactly what it feels like to be on your side of this.
