When it came to deciding on our wedding cake, we knew we wanted it to be magical. I have never understood why the wedding cake is something that is sometimes overlooked, or sold short, as it always has its focal moment and is constantly on display. We wanted our cake to be talked about and to be a focal point. Oh boy, Kadi did not disappoint! Not only was it visually beautiful, it also tasted absolutely amazing! It was a total win/win. The design consultation was a breeze. Kadi offered her expert opinions towards our vision and she created exactly what we had imagined and then some! The macrons were also a huge hit and were so pretty. Our gf guests were thrilled to have been treated also. Kadi is a joy to work with and a pleasure to know. Her work is flawless and she follows through with the flavour. I highly recommend her to anyone and know when we need our next cake, she will be the first person to call!

Kadi is amazing!! We did a two tier cake and a dessert bar. It was all sooooo good. She even brought it to the venue and set up everything- brought trays and platters to have it all set up on. She is so personable and friendly. And crazy talented!

Kadi was a dream to work with! I had a unique vision in mind for my brunch wedding. I wanted a two tier cinnamon bun cake dripping with icing - and boy, did she deliver! It was absolutely gorgeous & everyone loved it! Plus, we had mini fruit tarts and mini cheesecakes (my husbands favorite dessert) and they were all so great! She's extremely easy to work with & very communicative. Planning a wedding during COVID has not been an easy task and she took so much stress off by being such a great vendor! Can't recommend Kadi enough!

STAR OF THE SHOW. The cake that Kadi made for us was so special and unique! It was exactly what I wanted and envisioned for our wedding cake. The attention to detail and customization went above and beyond, and everyone was raving about how amazing it was! Even my groom - who has underwhelming reactions to just about everything - was really excited to see the details Kadi put into our cake! I honestly can't say enough about it. Kadi was absolutely fantastic to work with from beginning to end! She has incredible cake and dessert bar options and seems to be able to make anything you can for. We chose a small 2 tier cake with 6 dessert bar items and could not have been more pleased. Everything was so delicious and we got so many compliments from our guests. Kadi really listened to what we wanted and delivered exactly what we asked for. She also provided gorgeous cake and dessert stands. I would recommend Kadi Bakes over and over!

We got married 2 weeks ago today and asked Kadi to make our wedding cake for us. We’d only seen pictures of her work and read her reviews but I can honestly say it was the best and easiest decision we made! It was BEAUTIFUL (exactly how I imagined it) and tasted amazing!! We did a semi naked cake and sent her some general pictures but she went above and beyond. With fresh fruit and all the colors we loved, it was perfect. Guests were talking about the cake for at least a week after. Thank you so much, Kadi! We’ll definitely be back for special events ;)

Kadi and I have worked together on numerous shoots and weddings. Every time I work with her, she is prompt, professional, and extremely creative. Everything she makes is from scratch, and she can create everything from a modern painted cake to a traditional scroll finish. She is one of the most creative professionals I know, and you definitely will not go wrong choosing her to do your wedding cake and desserts.

Kadi has provided amazing and delicious treats for a few different events for my family and we loved each and every one. Would 100% recommend her. I’m even considering flying her home to Alaska for my own wedding this summer. She is one of a kind and the sweetest (pun intended!) person you’ll ever meet.

I ordered a beautiful holiday cake a few years ago to give as a gift to a party host. The cake looked amazing and I heard time after time how good it was. Kadi does a great job!

KadiKades supplied our treats for our family Christmas party. Her creativity is amazing! She made sure that we both had a clear understanding of the order. Punctual and incredibly friendly. I am sure that there are many wonderful cake designer/decorators in the area. Once I tasted desserts from an amazing pastry chef, I have no need to seek anyone else out. As they say, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it! I have already booked her for my husband’s 60th next year!

The cake looked and tasted great, but that did not make up for the awful customer service and/or threatening message I got from Kadi literally during the wedding ceremony. My husband and I initially met with Kadi and her online prices seemed reasonable enough. Nearly one year later, we're counting down until the big day, and my mother and mother-in-law tell me they've purchased a carrot cake from Carrot Tree Kitchens as the groomscake present. I honestly did not think anything of it - other than my to-be-husband was going to love it. I got an email from Kadi during the wedding ceremony - luckily for me, I didn't see it until the following morning...or it very well may have ruined my night. Kadi threatened to remove the cake from the venue as a carrot cake had been purchased from another vendor, but thank god for my day of coordinator, who did not permit Kadi up to the bridal suite to 'discuss the issue' while we got ready, and instead smoothed over the situation. I emailed back later, apologizing but explaining the carrot cake, but upset that she chose to message me about it during the actual ceremony. Kadi responded that she was "required" to notify me before any customers consumed the products to avoid potential liabilities. After perusing my torts books, I asked Kadi to explain where that legal principle came from, because as an attorney, I've never heard of it. There was more back and forth that resulted - none of which seemed fruitful nor did it resolve my unhappiness about how Kadi handled the situation. TL;DR: Good cake, but not worth the awful customer service or the risk of ruining your big day.

Kadi Bakes made our cake and so much more for our wedding this past November. Kadi was kind enough to make a house call to us for a tasting of her available cakes and pies. We wanted something unique - not just a wedding cake, but lots of pies and other delicious desserts to satisfy our guests' sweet tooth. We ended up getting a three-tiered cake (coconut, almond with blueberry filling, and carrot) as well as various flavors of pies, meringues, fresh fruit tarts, and macarons! The cake was delicious and beautifully decorated with inspiration from our engagement day, out in the Buttermilk Boulders of Bishop California. The pies were out of this world! Since Darrell's family has a history of making huckleberry pies, Kadi was also kind enough to make us a couple of those, even though huckleberries don't grow in Virginia! She special ordered them, and used some berries we provided to her from my mother-in-law, who picked them specially for the occasion in McCall, Idaho. We only really hit one snag during the whole process, which was during payment. We tried to use PayPal to pay, and the payment went to her personal account rather than her business account. It caused some confusion and took a bit of time to clear up, but all was well in the end. I would definitely recommend Kadi Bakes to anyone who is looking to have delicious baked goods at their event, whether it be a wedding, birthday celebration, or anything really!

Kadi is the best! Not only is she incredibly talented as a baker, but she is sincerely caring and wants to help make your event as special as possible. We hired her for our wedding, where she made a one-tiered cutting cake and 8 dozen cupcakes in all different flavors. Our cake table was more gorgeous than I could have envisioned. We received compliments all day on both how beautiful it looked and how delicious it was. I'm not a cake person, but I cannot get over how delicious her cake is (especially the lemon). Additionally, even after she was done setting up the cake table, she stuck around and helped out all the other vendors without hesitation. I looked over at one point and she was up on a ladder perfecting the ceremony garland! I wholeheartedly recommend Kadi for any and all of your dessert needs.

Kadi's creations are simply delicious. She's a super sweet gal, easy to work with, answers communication quickly, and will bake exactly what you're wishing for. She also decorated our cake & table beautifully! We're so happy we had some leftovers to take back home and continue to enjoy ;D

Kadi's cakes are soooooooo good. I cannot even begin to describe how amazing they taste. My wife and I recently got married and decided to have cupcakes for our guests and a mini cake all to ourselves and suffice it say we've been eating the leftover cake and cupcakes every day since. We can't get enough! You definitely won't be disappointed!!

My wife loves Kadi, and her cakes were absolutely delicious. We are forever grateful to Kadi for making our wedding so much more memorable.

SERIOUSLY one of the best tasting cakes and cupcakes I HAVE EVER HAD and I did I mention her buttercream is out of this world. Kadi Bakes is the real deal and something that is sweeter than her cakes, KADI herself! Kadi went above and beyond and not only helped us with our cakes but day of she even helped put some decorations together on the fly. She is a class act and a true professional. I would give her 10 stars if I could. I would highly recommend Kadi Bakes for any of your events!

Kadi worked with us every step of the way. We had an adorable two tiered cake with ombre, dozens upon dozens of cupcakes in multiple flavors and even allergy friendly cupcakes for our nephew. She answered every question and was incredibly patient. She even supplied a beautiful stand that went perfectly with our vintage theme. The cupcakes were so good that we both grabbed one during our grand exit to take with us!
