Loved working with Samantha Callen
She was very thorough, we never left with questions unanswered. The ball room was beautiful. Very reasonable food prices, alcohol, and the price for renting was the best we could find. We were able to set up the day before. She always checked in on us made sure things were going as expected. She was always willing to give a hand. Would go back over and over and will always recommend

The Kahler is a beautiful and convenient location with gorgeous ballrooms. We used the Elizabethan Ballroom for our day, and it was truly stunning. The hotel accommodations were nice, as well. The catering staff left a lot to be desired, however. The coordinator I had worked with for over a year quit (without telling me) about a month before our wedding. In addition, the person that took over for him was nice, but ended up ordering the wrong food (pork instead of beef), which was an incredible headache and handled very poorly the night of the wedding (they came up to me to try to handle it at my head table, even after they had been given contact information for my coordinator should anything go wrong). There were other little instances too (e.g., a staff member flirting with multiple guests and joining the dance floor, one woman to serve champagne to 90 people, kicking us out an hour before we were contracted to end, not returning my cake stand/server so I had to go back to get it, not saving the cake box so I received it in a garbage bag, etc.). Overall, I wish I would have picked a less "beautiful" venue and had a more desirable day-of experience with staff. To their credit, I was issued a refund for some of the issues that happened, but it required initiative on my end to set up a meeting and share my concerns, and I truly would rather have had the day run more smoothly than receive money back. Proceed with caution and read your contract carefully if you choose to work with them!

The Kahler Grand was perfect for our wedding day! Amanda and Soulaiman were amazing and so flexible. I have not a single bad thing to say about these amazing people. They worked to help me create my dream within my budget! The room I got for the wedding night was stunning and the food was delicious. I 100% recommend using the Kahler Grand and Marriott at Mayo.

Although this is a beautiful hotel, I would have chosen a different location for my guest block if I did it all over again. Unfortunately, the initial sales coordinator we spoke with offered us a free bridal suite if we booked 50 rooms, and advertised a free shuttle if the rooms were booked. During our engagement, I connected with 3 different sales coordinators as they kept leaving. In the end, I found they do not offer a shuttle, they don't even have one! The price was relatively low per room for the area, but other hotels were similar in price. It's definitely a beautiful location, but the service, planning, and ultimate cost were not what we expected as told.

We used the Kahler Grand Hotel because we loved the feel of the venue and it was one of the only indoor venues that would hold our large number of guests.
I would not recommend the Kahler to anyone! All of our wedding planners that we worked with at the Kahler kept quitting so we were bounced from person to person and each time we would have to explain our vision and details we had already told numerous people.
The communication was terrible. It sometimes would take days to get an answer back.
The room block was also a disaster. They kept charging people the wrong amount so I would constantly have to call them and have them reduce the rate. Then they closed my room block early without letting me know so some of my guests were not even able to book under my block.
The final straw for me was two days before the wedding when they demanded payment without providing me any sort of bill or estimate. When I had asked earlier in the week for an estimate I was told one would be emailed to me which it never was. The same day they demanded payment I asked again for an estimate which they couldn't give me and then when I tried to call and email them they ignored me.
Overall I would not recommend this venue as the beauty of the location and the excellent food are not worth the headaches you will get trying to deal with their staff.

The Kahler was a wonderful place to have our wedding ceremony! I received many compliments on the food and the cake, and we were able to set up the room just the way we wanted it. The complimentary bridal suite that was provided for us was gorgeous. My only complaint is less Kahler-directed and more coordinator-directed. The catering coordinator changed jobs 1.5 months before our wedding, which is fine, but she must not have told the new coordinator anything about our plans. So I had to relay all the information again, even things that I assumed the new one HAD to know. It was very tedious and stressful before the wedding. I wish the transition would have been handled more smoothly.

Overall, the reception hall was great, but the service was a little lacking. We had planned a lot of things and they didn't happen how we wanted. We didn't even see or hear from our event coordinator the day of the wedding. We were supposed to have a chef cutting the meat as we had stations for food (which was set-up more like a buffet that we didn't want). We were told that we did not meet the food and beverage minimum of $5500, and that we still owed the Kahler $1500 after the wedding but we paid the full $5500. I would recommend being careful if this is the place you choose to have your wedding reception.

The hotel added so much stress to my wedding. They tried to overcharge us by $2000 for food because they had increased their prices and never told us. They also tried to charge us for a broken bottle in the pool the night before the wedding when my now husband and I were not even registered guests. Then when confronted they said "we had to charge someone" and then offered to unknowingly charge out bridal party for the charges. Their security also harassed out bridal party both the night before and day of. So if you are looking for somewhere to have a very quiet wedding and you're not on a budget the Kahler may be right for you. The hotel was the worst part of my wedding.

My wedding reception came to around $5700.00 for 135 people. This included Asti for the head table, meals ($21.95 each, awesome price!) and open bar by consumption for two hours (each drink is counted instead of a set amount per hour).
Ashley the person I worked with to get everything setup and worked with up until 6 months before the wedding, was a huge help. I worked with Stephanie, their event coordinator through the event, and she was there for the reception. Everything went perfectly.

The chef at the Kahler came up with wonderful meal options! I'm vegetarian and he did a very good vegetarian meal as well as delicious appetizers!

The food was very good. We had chicken and prime rib. The meat was very good and not dried out. The vegetables were ok. Dessert was amazing! We had creme brulee and they added blueberries on top for a garnish. The staff was very efficient and kept things on time.
