untry can't begin to compare to Kahn's. We have also received very positive feedback on the short rib, vegan, and chicken entrees. People could not stop talking about the beet salad with goat cheese.
Steven Conners and Jenny Oden went over and beyond the call of duty for our wedding. Our printer made it difficult for their staff to read the menu and place cards because of vellum wrapped around the menu card. Have no fear! Steven and Jenny figured it all out, even though printer had also not made changes to the seating chart. The service from Kahn's was impeccable...all night long. I really was skeptical that they could beat our older daughter's reception at another venue, but they did in terms of food and service in every category.
The reception was at The Scottish Rite Cathedral and it could not have been more elegant and classy. Kahn's servers were there to refill our wine glasses and treated us like royalty. Everyone else in attendance felt the same way. Our daughter had creative ideas for signature cocktails and they made these to everyone's delight.
To close out the night, Kahn's did a wonderful job with the sparkler exit. No one could find the sparklers we bought (they were in one of our daughter's cars), but Kahn's found some and our daughter had the exit of her dreams.
There are simply not enough words to express our gratitude. I can only say that I will recommend them to everyone I know. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!

dible! So many delicious food and drink options, and it was so nice getting to try everything and meet all the team members that would be helping at our events. The planning meeting to decide on food, linens, table settings, chair rentals etc was quick and easy, and it was so nice being able to see everything so we could really visualize everything. In regards to the planning process - we planned our wedding 3 years out, so a lot of the aspects of the original contract we signed had changed in the interim, and we got moved between 3 different employees on the Kahn's side. This made some of the communication aspects difficult since we changed hands a few times; however, Kahn’s was so flexible and understanding, and made sure that regardless of things that changed on their end, we still got everything we wanted for our wedding day! And on the day of the wedding, our space looked SO beautiful - everything came together perfectly. The food was delicious, and service was incredible. We were so lucky to work with Kahn’s!

I didn't have to worry about anything outside of the bridal suite. I was able to enjoy my time with my friends and family before walking down the aisle.
As the ceremony started, Steven and Ashley stood with me until I had to walk down. They offered me water and helped fluff my dress.
All to say that I didn't have to worry about those details because of the amazing staff. I felt so special on my wedding day.
The food was amazing. My family and friends had nothing but amazing things to say. I heard multiple times that this was the best food they have EVER had at a wedding. We had multiple vegans, and they loved the vegan dish I selected for them as well.

Every interaction from the first phone call to the final farewell nearly a year later, was professional, warm, and I never felt any of my questions were insignificant or too much, nor did I ever feel "judged" for what I thought were probably silly questions. Steven truly listened and the food was exactly as we had hoped - delicious! The non-stop flow of wine and beverages was fabulous as well - I was blown away by the wine glass never being empty. ely with them for catering. We’ve only ever heard great things about Kahn’s and a few of our close friends also used them and had great things to say. We initially worked with a different gal who was wonderful but she ended up leaving which is how our new contact was Jennifer. Our wedding was beginning of September and we (us + our planner) hasn’t heard from her since our meeting in March except for ONCE in May. She didn’t even come to our venue final walk through with us which we had no idea she was supposed to be at. Our virtual meetings were so long because when we went for our food tasting back in March we looked at linens, silverware, plates, etc. and made decisions then on what we wanted - however for whatever reason our notes got “lost” and we had to do this all over again virtually as we do not live in Indiana. Once we had our final venue walk through and our coordinator found out, she contacted Jenny, Jennifer’s boss, which is where communication amplified. We LOVED working with Jenny and she made things so easy and fun for us. My final comment is after multiple meetings with Jennifer, on our wedding day she went up to me and said she doesn’t believe we’ve met and introduced herself. This really ticked me off as everyone can imagine that their services aren’t cheap, we’ve had many many issues with her, and it was really the last straw. In addition, on our wedding day my husband and his groomsmen were getting ready at the venue which only allowed alcoholic beverages if served by Kahn’s. We requested multiple champagne bottles weeks prior to the event that Jennifer put in our quote however they did not get a single one delivered nor was there a server. The beef we picked also was not the dish we picked at our tasting. We were told that apps and pricing would change due to it being a new year, but never was told the beef entree was different. We had a really tainted experience with them unfortunately and I wish I could say better. But for what it’s worth, food was great, the rest of their staff made our day very enjoyable, and we we were thankful our guests loved the food and drinks. We wouldn’t have done anything differently other than contact her boss earlier. We loved working with Jenny, so thank you.

t able to get a quote for our catering BEO until the week of my wedding (literally, 4 days before my wedding in August). There were also some things that we had agreed on but were missed such as having drinks and hors d'oeuvres available for our bridal party in the conference room during cocktail hour. Our event specialist was also unable to attend our wedding because she fell sick, which I understand but had hoped that she would have had someone else from her team there instead.
In person, my event specialist was very sweet and obviously very knowledgeable. The actual wait staff the day of the wedding were absolutely wonderful and the food is delicious.
If you're willing to deal with horrible response times in exchange for delicious (but probably very overpriced food), Kahn's is a vendor to consider.

The tasting we attended before the wedding to select our food and cake was also great and we were so stuffed by the end of the night! Overall Kahns was wonderful to work with. There were some issues with transparency about the cost of rentals and a lack of communication that had our wedding planner having to negotiate tbings for us pretty close to the wedding. We ended up spending nearly $2k more than we had budgeted and didn't know we would have to till about 6 weeks prior to the wedding so that kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. But the day of staff and service went above and beyond and for this I had to give a full 5 stars.

The open bar was nice and they kept it open as long as we needed, but many of our guests were saying the mixed drinks were watered down and that they had a good number of drinks without even feeling a buzz. Ultimately we went with a chicken entree (or vegetarian option) with six passed appetizers at cocktail hour and an open bar for about 250 people. We also had a quesadilla bar later in the evening for a late night snack. The service is also incredible and our table captain went above and beyond. We had left my accessory box in the reception hall by accident (we did some getting ready pictures in there) and Morgan held on to it and made sure it got back to me at the end of the night. We could not have asked for a better experience. My dad is still raving about how great everything was!

wered emails regarding a weekend tasting (we were planning the wedding from out of town - which they knew from the start...), I called our contact and she politely told me "Well, we don't do that." They were unwilling to accommodate a need we had from the start - and clearly articulated to them (which they had said at the time that they could work around). Our only choice was to forfeit the deposit and change caterers. Honestly, forfeiting that money and choosing a caterer we could rely on and trust with all the details for the big day (so that we didn't have to worry) was the best decision we made. Moral of the story - go with your gut, get things in writing, and be very wary if you choose to go with Kahn's, especially if you're an out-of-town bride.

Our contract clearly states that the initial deposit to reserve our services is non-refundable and non-transferable, as we have turned away other business due to the booking. The deposit amount is also consist with industry standard. This client received responses to all of her emails regarding the tasting and other planning matters. We have an outstanding reputation for excellent customer service as we take great care to guide and educate our clients to insure they will have the best event. This client decided to switch to a caterer with lower menu prices which may have also influenced her final decision.

Unfortunaly all the things were were working on and prices we agreed to were not documented. I spent more than was budgeted and they were not flexiable in working with us. We had extra money that was part of our contract that didn't get spent and they didn't allow us to use it for anything. I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the tasting process. I didn't get to choose what I tasted and had to pay to taste additional things, so day of I was praying what I picked tasted good since I didn't get to try anything but the salad and main course. It turned out fantastic all the food was good. Just a headache- Jenny is very by the book and does not accomdate very much as she should be able since she is a mangager.
