ntire dessert table was emptied by the end of the night!! Our guests loved everything that she made. She was also very friendly and great to work with. I would highly recommend her to anyone!
Kait was a dream to work with! We hired her to do our wedding cake + desserts. We aren't big cake people + wanted to do mini pies for desserts. She went above + beyond to make our ...
dreams come true! From tasting to final set up, she was amazing! We had so many compliments on how amazing everything tasted & even days after the wedding, we were eating on leftovers + everything tasted super fresh! There was only 1 hiccup--the tins for the pies that she ordered came in the wrong size! It was too late to reorder, so she had to use a smaller tin than we had originally planned. We didn't even know about the issue until after the wedding day (which we appreciate!!) and when I emailed her to ask, she immediately explained what happened + that she was giving us time to enjoy our honeymoon before discussing. She actually gave us 20 extra pies and a partial refund of the difference. A business owner who handles issues this way is one I will ALWAYS support! She was super up-front and honest + had no issue providing a refund. If you want a home-kitchen baker who works with you to provide the best desserts of your life, book Kait!

me listening to us and giving recommendations based on how many guests would be attending. We had a gorgeous 3 tiered wedding cake and an amazing dessert table for our December wedding and everything looked (and tasted!) great. People raved about the desserts all night. Thank you, Kait!
If you want a beautiful cake that also tastes out of this world, BOOK Cakes by Kait. I want to book her again just to go to a tasting. Her handmade cakes and filling will change yo...
ur life. We had a 3 tier cake which meant we had 3 different cakes with 3 different fillings. She listened to what our vision was and made it real. When we finally got to see the end product on our wedding day, our jaws hit the floor. It was gorgeous. She is fantastic and I wouldn't go with anyone else but her.
Kait is very enjoyable to work with, and the cake did not disappoint 💜
BEST CAKE EVER! Kait is not only the sweetest human, but the best baker around! She flawlessly delivered us the perfect groom's cake (Go Arkansas!), but also our stunning wedding c...
ake! When we arrived for our tasting, she graciously allowed us two extra guests so my parents could participate and the flavors were so delicious that we ended up deciding on a 4 tier cake so we could get all of our favorite flavor combinations! Kait also has a great eye for flowers and brought my "sunset" flower vision to life on our blue tinted cake. When our wedding was over, we immediately got our hotel and dug the leftover cake out to have with our champagne! Highly recommend and can't wait to have her bake for our events in the future!
Kait is the most talented baker in the Charleston area! She is so easy to work with, her work is absolutely incredible, and everything was so delicious! She offers a large variety ...
of not just cakes, but she offers so many other kinds of delightful desserts too. And if we are being REALLY honest, the price was just unbelievable for the work she does! Seriously look no further, BOOK HER NOW!
YUMMIEST CAKES EVER EVER EVER. My husband and I didn’t get to have a “real life” tasting because of covid, but Kait set up the cutest tasting boxes for us. It was seriously so fun ...
trying different cakes with different icings. We ended up choosing red velvet cake with cream cheese icing and French toast cake with coffee flavored icing and OMG. We didn’t even get a chance to have any red velvet cake because our guests were literally all over it lol. People couldn’t stop talking about how great the cake was. Our top tier is sitting in our freezer right now and it takes every ounce of control I have in my body to not dive in and eat it before our anniversary. 90% chance it won’t make it a year without us losing complete self-control and devouring it. We’ll just have to order another cake. Maybe in like 5 other flavors too. Who knows. I haven’t even mentioned yet how absolutely gorgeous our cake was because I’m so preoccupied with how delicious it was, but our cake was BEAUTIFUL. It was exactly what we wanted. It couldn’t have been more perfect and we are so glad we chose her for our wedding day.
Although I’ve known Kait more than ½ of her life, I am not biased in saying that our wedding cake was the cake dreams are made of! My husband and I went to her house for our tastin...
g. We tried combinations of different cake and frosting flavors. Because we LOVED them all, we decided to go with a 5 tier cake, each of different flavors! I already had in mind how I wanted it to be decorated- to match the bow on the back of my wedding dress. We communicated secretly so my husband wouldn’t find out! Not only was it a showstopper and centerpiece of my wedding, it was so good that after we did the cake cutting, I didn’t even get a slice! I know some of our guests ate THREE pieces! I’m not even mad about it! Maybe jealous?! But seriously, how can you go wrong?! Kait is an absolute joy of a person to know and to work with! I can’t recommend her flavors, attention to detail and execution enough! I couldn’t imagine it to be more perfect than it was! I highly recommend and trust Kait to execute design, bake and decorate your next cake flawlessly!!!!

I recently had my first experience working with Kait when she provided the incredible cake + dessert display for one of my planning couples! She was so easy to work with throughout...
the entire planning process, was very flexible to changes from my couple, and she was very accommodating coming to set up her display during the flip. Let me tell you, that entire display was demolished in about 20 minutes, if that. Her setup was gorgeous + treats were so, so tasty!! I would absolutely refer her time and time again, and am excited to work together on many more future events.
Best tasting cake! Everyone enjoyed the cake and the beautiful display 😍 I wish I could share a picture on here! Kait was such a pleasure to work with! She is so easy going and de...

I wish I had the words to describe Kait. There aren’t many people in the Charleston area like this lady. She’s the entire package.

y beautiful. I wish I could include a picture of the masterpiece she created. 5 lush tiers of the most delicious cake you could ever imagine. Of course, her attention to detail is unmatched. If you just trust her and her artistry, you won’t be disappointed.
It’s also that Kait is a wonderful person to work with. She’s so sweet and she’s truly invested in her clients. She’s able to give direction and suggestions while simultaneously honoring your requests. She wants you to have the best and she delivers.
We’ve been ordering cakes from her for years, long before I got married this year and she’s never once disappointed. This is more than cake, it’s an experience with a great, amazingly talented person. You won’t regret it.
As out of town guests, my wife and I did not know where to start when we began thinking about our wedding cake. Kait was recommended to us by our friend and planner. As soon as saw...
her talent on social media, we were sold! Being last minute, we did not have time to do an initial tasting, so we blindly chose three flavors, one for each tier. Oh my goodness, were we impressed! We briefly explained our vision to Kait over the phone and told her to just run with it however she wanted. She totally nailed it on the head! It was absolutely gorgeous! Kait was even able to accommodate a last minute request to turn the bottom layer of the cake rainbow colored! All of our guests have continuously complimented the cake, not only on how beautiful it was, but how great it tasted! The lemon blueberry flavor was out of this world! We were so, so pleased with the appearance of the cake and even more so by the taste! By far, the best wedding cake we have ever tasted! We CANNOT wait to eat our anniversary cake next year!!
Kait was a sweetheart and a joy to work with! Taking place in her own home, our cake tasting was super personal and we got to spend a lot of time describing the vision of our weddi...
ng, as well as what we wanted for our cake. We enjoyed the cake and icing flavors so much, we had a hard time deciding! Kait was so detailed in her description of her process, what the day of is going to look like, and her communication was clear and consistent. After describing my vision for our cake, I told her to feel free to express her creativity and we were not disappointed! Not only was the cake delicious, it was gorgeous! Better than I could have envisioned! We almost did not want to cut it! She delivered the cake, provided a cake stand (although we used one that I found), and decorated it with flowers on site. As an out of town couple, we genuinely appreciated her detail, professionalism, integrity, and communication! We wholeheartedly recommend KaitBakes for your dessert needs!
If I could give Kait more than five stars I would! Not only is her cake and desserts so gorgeous and delicious, but the costumer service is TOP KNOTCH! She is so sweet and puts so ...
much heart into her cakes. I have had raving reviews from my guests about how beautiful and delicious the cake was. When I met with Kait for the cake tasting months before my wedding I told her I trusted her talent and to have fun with it! I wish I could attach a photo to this review, because it was the most breathtakingly beautiful cake!
