hat we booked Kaitlin. We did an engagement session at Smith Mountain Lake a little over a year before our wedding. The engagement session was such a great way to get to know her ahead of time and we loved our photos. My partner and I are not very PDA, touchy-feely people so we told Kaitlin to just tell us what to do and we would follow her lead. She has such a warm and welcoming personality that we immediately felt comfortable with her as she led us through our session. The very next morning we received a couple pictures as a sneak peek, so fast! Soon after we received our full engagement gallery which I saved over 100 photos from.
We booked an 8 hour package for our wedding day. As many hours as you can afford - book them. You're going to want as much time with Kaitlin as you can get. The pictures and experience you get with Kaitlin are 100% worth the investment. I'm genuinely obsessed with my details photos. We've only just received the sneak peek gallery, which came within 1 week of our wedding day and was honestly a huge sneak peek, and I am so happy with the photos. She is very thorough and checks in throughout the session to make sure she doesn't leave out any photos we envisioned. We honestly didn't come in with any specific shots in mind so again we just followed her lead and the results are fantastic. I know the Smith Mountain Lake area has a special place in her heart so if you're having a lake wedding you shouldn't even consider anyone other than Kaitlin - I would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer in Virginia (and beyond).
