Based in New York City, Kala Wilkins Photography is passionate about capturing the excitement and love of every wedding day. She loves to focus on candid, natural moments and wants to take photos of you and your loved ones that represent the real you.
Her photography journey began in 2010 when she was primarily photographing high school seniors and families in her hometown. This then evolved into engagements, weddings, and more. As a people person, Kala wants to do more for you than just take your pictures. She believes your photographer should be a friend, a confidant, and an extra helping hand on one of the most important days of your life. Kala has worked with more than 1,000 clients and would love to be involved in the magic of your special day
Whether it's a classic, vintage, or modern style of photography you're looking for, Kala will chat with you to establish what your vision is. She can be with you through your journey, from the engagement all the way to the day-after session, to make sure all of the intimate moments of your love story are documented. She can provide same-day edits, wedding albums, and the option of additional photographers and videographers. Kala offers different packages for engagements, intimate, and large weddings, and would love to hear from you to discuss the details of your big day.

Kala was extremely kind and helpful! She was very responsive and able to accommodate us in such short notice.
The day of our elopment, she took the most beautiful pictures of us in multiple locations around the area we got married in Brooklyn. She was extremely patient and fun to work with and be around! She captured who we are and our love so perfectly.
Additionally, Kala was so fast! Within hours of the photos, while we were at dinner celebrating, she sent us a ton of sneak peeks and we were over the moon! That couldn't been all she sent us and we would've been happy!
She shared with us the full library and was so gracious to even do a quick touch ups for us months after for our Holiday Cards.

She took care of the responsibility of contacting the venue and providing them with the insurance information needed. The day of the wedding Kala was on time. She even brought a professional helper to ensure every moment was captured (we had 240 guests). Kala was very respectful of the church ceremony and did not distract the guests or us by taking too many pictures or getting in the way of people’s viewing.
