We loved the gorgeous backdrop/scenery that would frame our wedding ceremony, the rustic nature of the barn, and the covered deck area! The bridal suite was quaint and comfortable! Working with Ann, the owner, was seamless! She is on top of communication and responds almost instantly! She is easy to talk to and just a sweet lady! Her website is easy to use and has all the information a potential couple would need to create the perfect wedding (vendor ideas, etc.) All of my vendors and even guests commented on how wonderful Ann and Natalie were (they are available the day of the event on site) and of course commented on the beauty of the venue. Our wedding was in July (the HOTTEST month) but the barn was well air conditioned so everyone was very comfortable! We would 100% recommend Kalero for any event, especially the perfect wedding!!

ains, Kalero offered a beautiful working vineyard with gorgeous views for our outdoor ceremony, several outdoor patios for our cocktail hour, and a spacious and rustic barn for our reception. Just an hour from Washington, DC, it was the perfect distance for our in-town friends to attend while being well removed from any semblance of city life. Our out-of-town guests had many options to choose from with Dulles Airport a short 30 minute drive away. We could not have asked for a better location or a more pleasant experience. But also very important to our decision to choose Kalero was the way we felt when we were there. Ann was warm, welcoming, interested in us, and, unlike most of the other wedding venues we visited, we felt as if we were joining a family, not enveloped in some corporate wedding machine. As a gay couple, we appreciated seeing the venue feature other non-traditional couples on their website, which made us feel welcome and at ease even before stepping foot on the property. Our heartfelt thanks to Ann and Natalie for their help throughout the entire process. We absolutely made the right decision in choosing Kalero Vineyard, and will never forget all the amazing memories that were made there!

old onto that too! Purcellville, VA is a sweet little town outside the city, and if having an event in the Fall, the drive is stunning on a beautiful day. The owner Ann is so amazing and accommodating as well, it was an absolute pleasure working with her. Many of our wedding guests pulled us aside and asked where we found such a gorgeous venue, not to mention being blown-away by the mountain views. We also took beautiful pictures walking through the grape vines, against the silo, sitting along the rock wall with the mountain backdrop, in the fields with the full moon behind us; there’s so many options! It truly was the perfect venue for us - rustic and sweet, not too big or small, with so much charm, something a lot of the newly built barns lacked. There is also a Plan A, B, and C to accommodate a wedding in any weather (we lucked into a gorgeous Plan A!), fire pits, and heating/AC; another big factor we found a lot of older barns lacked. It truly was the best of everything! I would highly recommend Kalero Vineyard and Ann for your wedding/event needs. Side note: pay attention to her recommended vendor list – I booked all my main vendors ((DJ, Catering/Coordination, and Photography) from that list and truly feel like I ended up with a dream team. Thanks Ann!

lly got to have our reception at the beautiful Kalero Vinyard, every one of our guests kept telling us how beautiful the venue was even though it poured rain the whole time. Kalero is the perfect venue for the rustic, romantic, classy wedding we all dream of. If you’re a northern VA bride looking for stunning views and a customizable aesthetic, then this is the place for you! I can’t recommend Kalero enough.

our postponements, changes, etc. She went above and beyond in every single way possible - from holding a second backup date for us while we tried to decide what on earth to do, to letting us change our wedding date, still offering to let us use the venue on our original date to hold a small family ceremony w/ no extra charge, letting us in Friday early in the morning to decorate and again Saturday, helping throughout the decoration, celebration, and cleanup. The venue is the most beautiful in the area if you ask me, and now that I know how wonderful Ann is, it's just the icing on the cake! I cannot recommend Kalero enough! The barn comes to life so beautifully with the decorations, and the outside is just breathtaking. The grape vines in front of the mountains are just gorgeous. It really was a dream day in the middle of such a disaster of a year. 1000/10 recommend Kalero!

The Ig page for the venue shows how versatile the space is, and how beautiful all the end results are. My husband and I really appreciated the management style of Ann as well; responsive, compassionate, and just well-intended. A must-see for a dream day!

venues in Loudoun County, but the minute we stepped foot onto Kalero, I knew it was the one. Something about it just tugged at my heart strings, and every single one of our guests said the same thing. They were truly blown away by not only the venue/barn itself, but the gorgeous scenery that surrounded it. We got so many compliments on how much everyone loved it. We had about 120 guests and with the floor plan we came up with, it worked out perfectly! It made for an intimate setting and plenty of room for an awesome dance party, which was exactly what we envisioned. The mountains in the background, the string lighting on the stone patio, the fire pits, the big barn doors, the rustic beams in the barn, the covered deck, the lofts in the barn - all make Kalero so special. I really could go on and on. On our wedding day, we got to step into the barn for the first time just the two of us before guests entered...I can't even begin to describe how beautiful everything came together with the farm tables, candles, and decorations. Ann, the owner, was also an absolute joy to work with! She was always responsive, kind, and flexible. I had specific ideas for the floor plan that hadn't been done before and she was so open-minded and flexible with me. We all worked together as a team to make everything work! She did everything she could to make sure our day ran smoothly and that everything went as planned - which it did :) It truly was the wedding of our dreams. We wish we could do it over and over again! Ann, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! Kalero will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

We loved how they provided tables for us to use so we did not need to rent a lot of tables. Have a few spaces for guest to hang-out inside and outside was great as well. We had the ceremony onsite next to the grain silo and that worked well. The owner was easy to work with and responsive in our questions throughout the planning process. She provided us with vendor recommendations as well. We were so happy with how the day turned out.

before our wedding and we were afraid it would be too wet to have the ceremony outside even if the skies let up - but the ground miraculously dried and the weather was perfect for our April wedding. We had 125 people and everyone fit comfortably, we moved some tables for more dancing space after dinner. Ann is the nicest and super accommodating, and they're still making additions like the covered porch. Couldn't recommend a better venue - Kalero will be forever in our hearts!

The ceremony site couldn't have been more gorgeous with the stone wall, vines and mountains on the horizon. The barn itself was so beautiful we didn't feel the need to go crazy with decor. Everything about this space made our wedding day 200% perfect, and we would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to other couples!

one Barn, the silo, the breathtaking view of the mountains that are the pinnacle of Loudoun's beauty. The interior of the barn is warm and welcoming. The twinkling lights that are strung throughout the rafters allows the barn to transform into a magical scene that every bride envisions. Throughout our year of planning, Anne was very flexible and accommodating. Allowing us to come onsite for photographs, measurements and decor trials. On the day of the wedding, we had approximately 110 guests attend the reception dinner. The main floor accommodated 8 tables with approximately 10 seats, the welcoming/gift table, the buffet, a bar, and dessert table. The stage was a comfortable setting for the bridal party as well as their dates. To maintain comfortable moving room on the main floor, we added 2 tables of 10 to the upper level. Our guests there, had the best seats in the house. They were able to overlook all from the balcony. Both patios were used as our cocktail hour. In the evening, a bonfire was lit in the fire pit, creating an Autumn's eve aroma. We were blessed with gorgeous weather, many of our guests filtered in and out of the barn taking in every view and aspect to Kalero's beauty. Thank you Ann, for working with us and all that you had done to assist. We had the best time at Kalero!

We watched as the venue became everything that we had dreamed it could be and more. The space itself, with its gorgeous natural wood interior, perfect lighting, copper roof, original stone work, and spacious outdoor areas with stunning views, created the perfect environment for us and our guests. The kitchen and storage space below the main level also allowed the caterers and other professionals to operate extremely smoothly and allowed them to perfectly blend in with reception. Beyond that, the personal care taken by Ann and Fran throughout the planning and the event itself was outstanding. They listened to our vision, offered suggestions, and went above and beyond to make the reception absolutely perfect. It truly felt like they were rooting for us to have the best night of our lives, and they definitely delivered. We cannot say enough good things about Kalero Vineyard! Thank you SO much Kalero - we had the best night of our lives!

The majestic 1800s bank barn itself has been lovingly restored exuding the rustic charm brides are seeking, while offering a ton of upgrades that made this barn one of our top choices. Not only does the barn boast a newly installed HVAC system, but it also has 3 indoor bathrooms. For those of you who have been looking at a barn venue, you know how important these two features are. There's also a stage at one end; perfect for the DJ or band, a loft space that can be used as the bridal suite for prepping before the ceremony, or as a lounge or extra dining space during your reception, and a catering prep area in the lower level. The 2,500 square foot space can accomodate up to 150 guests. A large, west facing picture window provides mountain views, and should make for a beautiful show at sunset. The east side offers views of the vineyards and the Short Hill Mountains, and as such, there are a number of lovely ceremony backdrops. The convenient location is off Rt 9 just past the charming town of Hillsboro in Loudoun County, smack dab in the middle of "wine country". There is also plenty of parking on the 131 acre property. There are a number of bed & breakfasts nearby for your guests, and plenty of things to see & do in the local area, including over a dozen wineries & breweries, antique shopping, gambling (at nearby Charles Town Casino)., and historic Harpers Ferry is just a short 15 minutes driveas well. The delightful owner, Ann Fortin, was very accomodating, and answered all of our questions. Because the venue is so new, and they haven't hosted any events yet, many of the rental policies hadn't been put in place, but Ann was willing to be flexible to work with us. Please note that this venue does not include tables & chairs, twinkle lighting or decor as do many of the more established barns, however, in my opinion, this was a plus because brides then have the option of decorating to their liking, and not be confined by someone else's design tastes. The other bonus is that if you have just recently become engaged or have delayed booking a venue, Kalero still has plenty of openings for 2017, and they are offering introductory rates, which are very competetive with similar Loudoun County venues. If you are looking for a unique venue and weekend experience, Kalero is definetly worth considering.
