Kali shot my wedding with a second shooter to ensure that the guys got the same 'getting ready' attention that the girls did, and both perspectives for the first look. She is very organized with the information you get prior to the wedding to guarantee you get all those family shots you need, and has a way of capturing those sweet candid moments that make your heart melt.

Engagement pictures and wedding day went great then came the bad news on Christmas Eve of all days she calls me to let me know that her hard drive bad crashed and she was extremely sorry but a good portion of the photos of my wedding were unrecoverable. When we received the link for the pictures it was extremely fluffed with extra photos probably that wouldn’t have made the cut. The most emotional and devastating part is there is absolutely no family formals, no pictures of me and my mom but 1, none of me and my brother and niece, none of my wife’s family or anything formal. We chose Audubon Clubhouse for the oak grove and setting for formal pictures. All formal photos were gone - I’m completely devastated. Kali offered us a photo album of terrible photos and a make up session. I am sorry but you cannot recreate your wedding day or that smile on your face. My wife’s family lives out of town and as do my bridesmaids. So this “let me make it up to you” was totally unacceptable. I know we can never get those photos back but it’s heartbreaking that the most important day of my life cannot be shared in photos we paid $3500 for. Kali can move on and learn from her mistake but spending the amount of money we did to receive nothing captured on our wedding day is appalling.

From the get-go, Kali extended the warmth, sincerity, and excitement she had for us and our wedding starting with great communication through emails, then meeting in person in New Orleans for a get-to-know-you lunch, and following up with us over Skype to plan once more before our big day. We can't say enough about Kali (and her husband Preston!) and how they made two people who aren't really comfortable being in the spotlight, at ease on a very long, emotion-filled day - the photographs are the proof, though. We both saw our wedding day with a whole new set of eyes and I could not stop smiling while reviewing each shot that was taken. She also kept me calm and reassured me that we would have plenty time when we ran an hour and a half behind schedule. She is super laid back and her bubbly personality puts you at ease. Seriously, we booked her a month before the wedding date and she was so professional and accommodating. She really gets to know her clients and her creativity & talent is evident in every picture. My husband does not like taking pictures but Kali made us so comfortable and you can see that in the pictures. All the picture turned out so natural and just.. beautiful.

As always, I did my research before booking, comparing value and artistic quality of photographers all around the Gulf Coast, and in the end, I had my heart set on Kali. She is wonderful to work with, both personable and professional, and thank God one of us is organized (hint, not me). I am absolutely in love with our engagement and wedding pictures, so much so that I am actually having a hard time choosing only a few to frame. Also, it deserves to be said that on the day of our outdoor garden wedding, it poured all day long and at times, I was a nervous wreck. Kali came through with the utmost professionalism and assured me that our pictures would still be everything I dreamed. And they were. She stayed collected and organized despite the day running behind schedule due to the weather and was able to capture the memories in beautiful detail while working around a bit of chaos.
