I initially reached out to Jane in July to inquire about pricing etc. and eventually booked an engagement session for the end of August as I was really wanting end of summer weather and lighting for our engagement photos. Jane said she would follow up with me prior to our scheduled photo session to confirm the time. It was 3 days before our scheduled session and I had not heard from Jane so I reached out and never received a response. My fiancé and I do not work the standard work days/shifts, so scheduling appointments requires planning ahead for us. The day we were scheduled to have our engagement session, I had still not heard from Jane so I reached out again trying to confirm our appointment. Later in the day I received a response, however Jane was asking to re-schedule. My fiancé and I ended up re-scheduling about a week out. We ended up having our engagement session and after we were done taking pictures, we asked about the turn around to get the pictures back. Jane said she would have our photos done within 2 weeks. My fiancé and I were excited to get the photos as we have never done a professional photo session and the day and time we took pictures at were the perfect back. 2 weeks came and went and I had not heard anything from Jane so I reached out to her to see what the status was as we were wanting to use our engagement pictures for our wedding website. 3 days after reaching out, I received a response from Jane stating she would have our photos done with in about a week as she was overwhelmed with work and life. A week had passed and I had not received the engagement photos or any response from Jane. I reached back out and asked for an update but did not get a response. A few days later I reached out again asking for an update and Jane told me she would have an update for me later in the day. I never received any update from Jane later that day, and reached out again about 5 days later asking for an update on the pictures ( this would now be 3 weeks from the time I should have received the photos). I still had not heard back from Jane so I reached out again a week later and then again a week later (end of October) as she never got back to me. I reached out to Jane one last time in early November asking about my engagement photos and she still has yet to respond. I find it incredibly unprofessional to not communicate with your clients, especially when you state you will have a completed date and turn around for your product. My fiancé and I will not get this opportunity back to take engagement pictures as my wedding is a month away and the beautiful summer evenings are gone. I would not recommend this photographer and would caution any couple from booking this photographer as you may lose the important moments that would be captured on your special day.
