We chose Hyvee in Overland Park, KS (135th Street) for our wedding cake and cupcakes. We met with Tammy, a very thorough and enthusiastic person. She gave us a large tasting box of cake and frostings to try, and walked us through exactly what would be best for our 150 guests. She was also able to do our exact vision that we had printed out from Pinterest, while making the cake very affordable. Thank you, Tammy and Hyvee!

HyVee in Belton, Missouri was so easy to book! We gpt engaged in January and married in June, so we were in a bit of a time crunch when it came to booking our different vendors. HyVee's bakers were on it with the taste testing, the design, and the delivery of our cakes. We ordered one to take pictures with and a sheet one to serve all our guests. We will definitely recommend HyVee Bakery for your wedding festivities!

discuss what I wanted for the cake or the bouquets. Even though I only spoke with them via phone and e-mail, both the cake and bouquets turned out just like I had imagined. I would highly recommend working with this Hyvee location.

to work with and made our planning easy and stress free. The cake was a three tiered round cake with a light ivory buttercream diagonal textured frosting. She placed beautiful flowers our florist supplied and our cake topper at the venue. We did three sheet cakes for our guests, each piece of sheet cake had a blush pink rosebud made from frosting on top. The Hy-Vee catering team cut and served the cake to our guests. We wanted an elegant wedding and Linda exceeded our cake expectations. I definitely recommend Hy-Vee for all wedding needs!

Wow!! I was so pleased with the flowers that Sheryl at HyVee Mission provided for my wedding! I had a few pictures of what I wanted, but meeting with Sheryl really helped...
me nail down the design and the bouquets that she produced were even prettier than I imagined. As we were standing at the altar during our wedding, I was appreciating how beautiful the altar piece was! I also appreciated Sheryl's follow up - anytime we spoke before the wedding she was on top of all of the details and called me the day before to confirm times, etc. Outstanding!
Cake:
Brenda was extremely helpful - we met live to discuss cake options and talked on the phone a few times leading up to the wedding. We purchased a 3 tier cake and a couple of half sheet cakes in various flavors for our reception and I couldn't have been happier with the way these turned out. We received several compliments on the cake design and it perfectly matched the design ideas Brenda & I discussed. This was a great value & I would gladly recommend them.

job Brenda did making out 3 tiered cake with a flower petal designs in the frosting. It turned out exactly like the picture I showed her from pintrest. The team can decorate your cake however you wish, which was unexpected for a grocery store bakery department. You can even get multiple flavors such as, red velvet or carrot cake! Hy-Vee cakes are beautiful, delicious, and affordable. Whats not to love?

eren't quite the color I had expected, but they were still very nice and still in our color palette so it worked out. They were a little slow to respond via email. But they also were able to fulfill my order relatively close to the wedding after my original florist fell through, which I really appreciated.

annual "cake decorating contest" among all their stores and they have some amazing cake decorators!
We were really lucky to work with Brenda, now at the Mission Hy-Vee. She is fun, down-to-earth, and knows what is important for brides and weddings. When you first contact her, you will set up a consultation. At that time, she will ask about all your desires, tell you what is possible (almost anything is), and tell you how much that will cost. Then you will leave (or you can eat them there) with samples (actual standard-sized cupcakes!) of each flavor to try.
I was surprised about how moist and yummy the cake was coming from a grocery store.
Afterward, she will schedule a "touch-base" call to see if you have decided to get your cake with them and finalize all details (flavors, decorations, etc).
For a (very) small fee, they will even deliver your cake!
You really can have cake that is just as yummy and pretty as expensive bakers, much cheaper.

We tasted similar menus at 4 different caterers. Only one other had comparable food quality and it was substantially more expensive. Hy-Vee is a great value!
