My husband and I fell in love with Kara's beautiful work when we were planning for our wedding and love her even more after we received our engagement and wedding photos. You won't regret choosing Kara Cheek Photography. Kara was always fast and helpful in communicating and easy to talk to, I also was excited and appreciated that she returned our photos within a month after our wedding. What I appreciated the most was the fact that during the whole wedding process, from engagement to wedding day, she made me feel like a beautiful bride and worked well to create a positive environment with my wedding party and family. I would definitely choose Kara over again if I had to and will definitely look forward to shooting family photos with her in the future.

Kara was awesome! From our first meeting to the big day, she was such a blessing to us. She went beyond just being our photographer. We are so happy with our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures.

Some people are naturally photogenic and look comfortable and natural in front of the camera.... Myself and my husband, not so much but man, oh man can Kara make us look that way! Kara has an amazing talent for capturing personality and character in a way that allows us to relive the day with all the humor and fun that it entailed. She did an amazing, amazing job of not only giving us stunning pictures of ourselves and our wedding party, but also of all of our guests, especially our grandparents. My 102 year old grandma was our flower girl and the pictures that Kara took of her coming down the aisle never fail to make me laugh and happy cry. (Also, on a funny note, Kara gets 1000000 bonus points in my book because she also shot our engagement photos WITH our 100 lb puppy. She was such a great sport and she managed to get the most adorable photos as she helped wrangle him!) There are a million positive things that I could say about Kara, but I can sum it up by saying that, other than my husband, choosing Kara to be our photographer was the best decision I made about the wedding. If you are looking for someone who can put people at ease, capture your relationship and your wedding in a unique and personal way, and overall help make your wedding day experience the best it can be- look no farther!

Kara is magnificent! Not only is she a wonderful photographer, but she played a vital role in the smooth process of our wedding. Kara did an incredible job of capturing our genuine moments, rather than a lot of posing. She was so helpful and professional from the first meeting all the way through to getting our album/USB drive a few months after the wedding. She has reasonable prices, and is WELL worth your time and money. She is truly the only photography I will use for any sessions!

Kara and her assistant were so patient with our bridal party and family, and her pictures couldn’t have turned out any better!! She really captured all of our personality, and all of the fun of the day in her pictures, I don’t think they could have turned out any better. I would definitely recommend her again and again!

I found Kara via The Knot and absolutely fell in love with her work! She was the first photographer we had a consultation with and we actually cancelled the other consultations because we loved her so much. She was extremely professional and so so sweet! We met up at a Starbucks and she even paid for our drinks. She heard what I wanted and put together a "day-of" timeline right then and there. Our engagement photo shoot was included in our package and the pictures are AMAZING! We get so many compliments on them and the way they look framed and on our save the dates is breath taking. She made the photo shoot so easy and fun and she really captured our love for each other. I would highly recommend Kara and I cannot wait for her to shoot our wedding. EDIT TO ADD: We just had our wedding and holy crap our pictures are absolutely beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better photographer. Kara is so much fun to work with and we will absolutely be using her for future family photo shoots!

Kara was an amazing photographer!!! My husband and I planned our wedding in about a month and a half and (very) luckily she was available the weekend we had chosen. We planned a very small ceremony and reception so we knew we really only wanted portraits and ceremony pictures so Kara was able to offer hourly photography, which ended up being more than we ever hoped for. In about 3 hours, we were able to take portraits, wedding party pictures, family photos, and ceremony candids. We were able to get over 200 great shots, even with the dim lighting of our ceremony venue! Photography was fairly important to me so we could share the day will our extended family and friends that we were not able to invite due to time/budget constraints. We were blown away at the quality and have gotten so many compliments since posting our wedding album! I would HIGHLY recommend Kara for any wedding!

Kara is amazing! Shane and i chose her after looking at many other photographers. we just kept coming back to her work and we knew we wanted her as a photographer. and just as i expected. She was kind, encouraging, professional, and we could not have been happier with our pictures! She is truly talented and loves what she does and the people she works with immensely! We were so pleased to have Kara shoot our wedding pictures! Kara was very helpful leading up to the date and made sure to ask us what pictures we wanted taken. She was very flexible when our wedding had to be moved indoors due to rain. What drew me to Kara's photography was the way she captured light and us in the moment. She did do poses for the wedding (and we love those too!) but she was so detailed in what she took images of and to listening to what I wanted for my wedding photos that I can't thank her enough. Absolutely wonderful. And she is so kind! She took amazing photos of our tiny backyard wedding and to share it all with my family was very near and dear and she captured it so well.
