Kara and her team were absolutely amazing! She was the perfect level of bossy, making sure we got excellent pictures without taking over our day. She has a real eye for gorgeous pictures and she is an awesome person to have around. I was very nervous and my husband dislikes having his picture taken but she took great care of us and we love our wedding photos!

We first had Kara do our engagement photos, which might not be such a natural thing for some couples like ourselves. But Kara put us at ease right away and made us laugh the entire session. We could tell she was the right photographer for our wedding that day but the pictures we got back sealed the deal. When you hire Kara for your wedding you get so much more than you ever expected! She helps your organize and coordinate your day, keeps the bridal party laughing and happy, and she takes all the stress off the bride. Not only is she extremely talented, but she is also very efficient. She is meticulous and focused so that all you have to worry about is having a good time and spending as much time as you can with your guests and with each other. We had to change our whole wedding plan multiple times due to COVID and Kara never missed a beat and was there for us in whatever capacity we needed her on that day. She brought a great energy to the day and the final product was so amazing and perfect. You really can’t go wrong with Kara and you will be so happy with how she captures your special day!

Kara was amazing!! She was so accommodating and made our Covid wedding scenario easy. She was quick to communicate back when we had a change of plans, quick to get us our photos back, and the pictures were amazing. She is the quickest and the most efficient in her picture taking too which is huge when you have a large wedding party. I've worked with other photographers at weddings I've been in and no one has been as good as her. HIGHLY recommend!

I don't even know where to begin about how amazing Kara is. From day one when I contacted her about photographing our big day, she was enthusiastic and so genuine. Our engagement pictures came around and my husband, not very comfortable in front of the camera, was very nervous and had no idea what to expect. When we left, he couldn't stop talking about how amazing Kara was and how comfortable she made him feel. This then carried over to our wedding day. She is hands down the best photographer we could have asked for. So organized, so personable, SO funny. She helped keep our day right on track and kept everyone laughing the entire day. Our entire wedding party went on and on about how great she was and how she got amazing shots in such a short amount of time. We never felt rushed, but we also never felt like we were taking endless photos. Kara also got our entire photo gallery back to us in record time! On a day we thought she was sending sneak peeks, she sent our entire gallery of around 1500 photos. We could not believe the turn around time and have loved reliving our day through the pictures. She captured us perfectly and made our so stress free and nothing short of perfect. I could go on and on about how amazing of a photographer and person she is and am so thankful she was able to capture our big day! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Kara!!

Kara is simply the best!!! I first met her for “engagement photos.” She was very receptive and willing to squeeze us in due to an acute medical condition. Absolutely stunning photos. There was never a question of who to hire for the wedding, a surprise wedding at that. Kara is so creative and really wants the best for her customers. I was truly shocked at her turnaround time as well. Absolutely LOVE her and will continue to use her as long as she’ll have us!!

Kara is incredible and exactly what we were hoping for in a wedding photographer. She somehow took beautiful photographs without ever feeling in the way. In fact, we often didn’t know she was there. When our wedding was over and we finally saw the photos, we didn’t even realize she was around for some of the things she shot. Kara also made sure it never felt like we were holding things up for photos. We didn’t take any family or group photos before the ceremony, and Kara was able to get all of those done at the church in about 20 minutes. That let us join right in on the fun with our friends at the reception. And the photos she took were exactly what we wanted! Kara also gave us a complimentary engagement shoot, and she traveled over 300 miles (from Peoria to Grand Rapids, MI) to take the photos at some of our local favorite spots. This meant the world to us because we had been a little torn between having our wedding where more family and friends were (Peoria) and where we lived (Grand Rapids). Kara made the engagement session fun and personal, and the photos turned out amazing!

Kara is awesome to work with! I had followed Kara on social media for a long time before I was engaged/married and knew that she was the one I wanted for my wedding pictures. Kara perfectly captured our September 2019 wedding at Biltmore Estate in North Carolina. Knowing it was a setting full of gorgeous picture spots (with only one day to get to them all!), I was overwhelmed by logistics: how to make it all happen, where to be and when....but then Kara swooped in, took charge, and took every bit of pressure off of me. Hands down, Kara is the absolute BEST in the business! While searching for a wedding photographer for our destination wedding, I kept comparing everyone to her. Luckily, when I contacted her she had our date open and was willing to travel to Florida. Her sweet disposition and communication skills are an added bonus. If there is anything I can say about Kara is she is easily one of the best photographer-mom boss-awesome ladies period. Look no farther for an AMAZING wedding photographer! Choosing Kara for our special day was an easy decision in my opinion! Her pictures are simply amazing, and being a bridesmaid in a previous wedding she shot, I knew her fun/outgoing/go-with-the-flow personality would be the perfect fit for our bridal party and our day! Kara was the wedding photographer for my daughters wedding. She was by far the most efficient and fun photographer I have ever experienced. She knows how to position and move everyone quickly but the photos don't look rushed. Kara came as a “I love working with her referral”. We did everything via email (which worked perfectly for us) and once the wedding day arrived, we were not disappointed. Kara has been the photographer for two of our daughter’s weddings. Kara was easy to talk to during the planning stage, answered all our questions, and has good attention to detail. Her bubbly a and friendly personality quickly extinguishes all the wedding day jitters and makes the day just a little more fun. I love that she brings a second photographer the day of the event to capture all the ‘other details’. Our first daughter has a lovely wedding album and I cannot wait to see daughter #2 wedding album. Kara did a fabulous job on my husband and I's wedding in January 2018. This was an out of town wedding for her, in Phoenix, AZ. I liked having her because 1. my wedding pictures are so great! 2. Kara was absolutely wonderful throughout the whole experience! Not only does she have beautiful photos, but she is a beautiful person inside and out! Kara goes the distance! Literally! When I started planning my wedding (in Boston), I knew I wanted Kara to be our photographer, but I wasn't sure if she would travel all the way to Boston for a wedding. Lucky for us- she did! Kara made everything so easy from billing to making her own travel arrangements to what I remember being the best "the day of" run through phone call about a month before the big day. On the big day, this woman was an upbeat, encouraging professional. Kara had done her homework and scoped out options for photo in this new to her city. She is also funny and just generally great to be around. While she was a stickler for keeping us on time, she was also stealth! I don't remember seeing her for most of the ceremony or reception but she captured so many amazing shots. What I appreciated most about Kara is how quickly we got our shots back and how patient and responsive she was to my requests for a few edits here and there of the 1,234 shots she took! Wish I lived in Illinois- we'd use her all the time! If you're reading this review, don't think another second, you will not be disappointed with Kara! Reliable, fun, professional, and fabulous photographer!

I am the youngest of 3 and was the last to get married. My siblings all tried to get Kara for their weddings, but she was booked! By the luck of a Friday wedding, we was available for mine! She did everything in her power (including getting up at 3am) to drive anywhere we wanted pictures taken and made sure they were absolutely flawless and we were happy! We had so much fun working with Kara on our wedding day! From her Bride's Night before hand where she taught us some do's and don't's for planning the big day, like when it was okay to be a bridezilla and when to not worry about things because she would have them under control. To the day of when she got EVERYONE to smile with the nicknames she was coming up with (Brother Pants), to the Reception when our DJ was not the best she stepped right in and told him how it was going to be so we didn't have to! We even got our pictures back in four weeks, instead of the 6-8 we originally had thought it would take. (May not always be the case we realize, but we were oh so surprised!) We have a six month old and the pictures she captured of him on that day are perfect. We loved having Kara as a part of our big day, she fit right in! And was able to capture so many of our memories that day. We can't wait to look back on them in 5, 10, 50 years. (Even if we will likely be laughing at some of the fashion choices!) Her second shooter, Laura, was fantastic as well. She was able to get the perfect angle for the face Levi made before the first kiss and stage our detail shots so not one detail was missed! When we saw her recommendation on their vendor list, my fiance and I immediately went to the knot and noticed her reviews were VERY different from her competitors in that her clients wanted to write lengthy reviews of their experience, rather than a nice sentiment. Now being clients, we understand why this text box word count is not enough to express our amazing experience with Kara. Kara drove from Washington, IL to Chicago IL (free of charge) to shoot our engagement session. She was so easy going and just took us on a walk around the city. It didn't feel forced, and she is so kind, funny, and flexible that all the pictures turned out so natural! The day of the wedding, Kara had everything planned perfectly! We arrived to our first look just in time and she already had back up places to shoot in case the cloud cover wasn't doing what she wanted. For the rest of the day once the ceremony started, Chris and I didn't even notice where Kara was, which I loved, because I have been to weddings in which the photographer becomes a distraction to the ceremony. When we received our pictures, we couldn't believe how perfect they were. She is SO SKILLED with capturing candid moments. Kara is the bomb.com. SERIOUSLY. She is AMAZING!!! I didn't need to hire a wedding coordinator for the day of because she kept the show running and everyone on schedule. She was amazing getting our family pictures done quickly, and being creative with our outdoor pictures on a gloomy day. So you talk to friends about their photographers, you go online and look for ones in your area, you browse countless portfolios and blogs to get a feel for their photos – and try to decide whether you’d be happy with those particular photos as documentation of *your* big day. While their photos speak for themselves, Team KKP is so much more. Yes, we’re thrilled with how wonderful the photos came out. Yes, our friends and family were excited, too. Yes, we’ll cherish them forever and ever. But what makes them so special is what went into them. Kara and Brian were so much fun to have for our photo sessions. Unobtrusive, yet incredibly supportive, they blended into the background when appropriate and effortlessly helped lead us through the day on schedule when needed. Knowing we were in great hands, we could just enjoy our wedding – which was utterly invaluable. And it shows in our photos!

Kara and Sydney were AMAZING! For engagement pictures they were flexible and able to travel to my hometown to get some really special pictures. On our wedding day, their scheduling helped keep everything running smoothly. Kara was awesome at making our freezing outdoor shots fun and quick! Throughout the day, she was so great to have around- it really was fun just to hang out for the day! Our wedding party loved working with her as well! KKP is the bomb, and I can't imagine my wedding day without them!!

Kara is a true professional, yet you feel like you have known her for years shortly after meeting her. She allows you to feel comfortable in your own skin and is always full of fun ideas! She caters to your personality and does what works best for you. She is so much more than just a photographer on the day of the wedding - she's never afraid to jump in and help with whatever you need! She works amazingly well with other staff such as videographers, hair stylists, and makeup artists. Her photos are also very easy to access afterwards. I would highly recommend her!
