NERVOUS! Her easygoing demeanor was super helpful because I'm usually stiff in front of the camera but I was able to relax enough for her to take stunning photos. We had Kara take engagement photos and bridal/groom photos, which were easy to schedule even from another state. While we wanted to have her be our wedding photographer, traveling was not really an option for her on our date during COVID. Despite this, she still helped us find an associate photographer who did an amazing job shooting while editing the photos herself so that we can still have them in her style, which we love. We got the photos from each shoot back crazy fast, starting with sneak peaks only hours after the sessions and the full portfolios within two weeks. he was on a trip in Israel. She had responded within the hour and apologized for any "late" responses that may occur while she was abroad (but that never turned out to be the case...!) She worked with us patiently through our budget and did not have "no" as an option, even when the initial packages she listed were above our budget. Though we had no qualms with wanting to book her, we had some questions as we'd never made such a large purchase on photography and she answered them all through email and a phone call. I even ended up texting her questions here and there as they came up through the months leading to the wedding, and she never made me feel silly for asking them. When it came time for the wedding day, my husband and I both felt super comfortable from the moment we met in the morning until the end of the night. At times, it was almost as though she and her second shooter (Alexa, who is also awesome) weren't there! They gave just enough pointers for us and also let us be ourselves. Before the actual big day, she sends a few forms to fill out with more specific questions like "how much guidance do you need?" which I thought was professional and something I as a client really appreciated. Not only is she very quick with her communication, but she is also very prompt and diligent with her previews! The day after our wedding, she sent us an album of previews. We scrolled through those so many times and relived the day over and over again. Needless to say, we loved our photos, and naturally could not wait for the additional edited photos, which was sent to us earlier than expected! We ended up loving them too! Her attention to detail and capture of all emotions, from us to the guests on our wedding day was so special and important to us; she captured it all.
