Do yourself a favor and hire Kara for your wedding makeup. She is more than just a makeup artist... her years of experience in the wedding industry make her a wedding vendor extraordinaire. She is one more person to have in your corner on your wedding day. She did makeup for me, my mom, my aunt and 7 bridesmaids. She did the makeup professionally and efficiently. She stays for touchups which were so necessary due to many of us crying happy tears throughout the day. She helps with the kiddos, carry's your train, helps when your sleeve falls off for the 100th time, and makes you feel like a beauty queen on your wedding day. Wedding makeup is an investment, but for us it was worth every penny. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world Kara! She's truly an artist.

I feel bad for any bride that doesn't have Kara on their wedding day!! Kara was highly recommended to me by my wedding planner Kristin Zupancic. I hired Kara to do our wedding and also to do my makeup for our engagement photos. When we had to postpone our wedding twice because of covid, Kara was so flexible and understanding with moving our date. When you hire Kara, you are getting soooo much more than just a makeup artist on your wedding day. She goes above and beyond and stays well past when a typical makeup artist would stay to touch you up, hold your wedding gown up so it doesn't get dirty and also make sure you have water. Did I mention I almost forgot to put my VERY EXPENSIVE veil on before walking down the aisle and it was Kara who reminded me that I needed it!! Kara did makeup for 10 of us on wedding day. Me, all six of my bridesmaids, my mother and mother-in-law as well as another one of my friends who was with us on wedding morning. Two of those people weren't even supposed to get their makeup done, but then they saw how amazing everyone looked and asked if they could get it done too and Kara again went above and beyond saying yes! She showed up right on time and finished everyone's makeup in an extremely timely manner! Everyone LOVED their makeup! Kara then traveled with me to our first look location (which was different than our venue location) and made sure I looked good in the 95 degree heat in the middle of the day...Did I mention we did our first look at the UF Stadium so she even held my dress as we jumped the fence lol! Kara stayed through the ceremony to touch me up and made me just feel so beautiful. She is a true pro and knows exactly how to make someone look their best for all their big moments. I'm so glad I hired Kara for my wedding day and I know you will be too!!

If you want to look amazing on your wedding day and have a makeup artist touch up your make up during photography... Hire Kara! Like now! I have never felt more pampered and beautiful! She's amazing! I am a sweater.., I don't glisten. I drip sweat! And she made sure that during photographs and after the ceremony I still looked fresh! She was very conscience of hygiene and took every Covid19 precaution... I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again and again! Thank you Kara for taking such great care of me and making look like a princess!

I hired Kara as a makeup artist for my wedding on October 25th In Gainesville. She did makeup for my four bridesmaids, mother, mother-in-law, and myself. She met us at the cottage where we were getting ready. Kara is an incredibly talented makeup artist and a very professional business-woman. I felt very confident in her skills and abilities to make us all look beautiful and glamorous for my wedding day. She knows what will look best for you and gives you some choices for lip and eye color. The makeup turned out so beautifully for the photos! She is fun and friendly and is a great person to have around before your wedding to help with anything you may need. She will stay until after your ceremony to do touchups and help with anything else you may need! For example, she held my dress for me while I walked downstairs to go take photos and do my first-look. Overall, I would definitely recommend Kara if you are looking for a very talented and professional makeup artist for your wedding day!

I’ve used Kara twice now, the first time was one of her assistants (who was awesome) and most recently she herself did my bridal makeup. Even though I only hired her for a single session this time rather than for bridal makeup service, the results were fantastic. In literally 30 minutes (maybe less) she gave me exactly the look I wanted with zero input from me. I couldn’t even answer which color I wanted for my lips, so she put a color on me that was perfect! The makeup held up for the couple hours into my ceremony and photos after with ease. (Although I forgot to reapply my lip gloss, her touch ups would have helped with that!). I would highly recommend Kara. Her work is well worth the investment on a day that you want to look and feel your most beautiful in person and for your photos that you will have forever!!

I was happy with our makeup. I had Kara do my makeup as well as my entire wedding party. Expensive , but was worth it. I did not appreciate being backseated to another job that she had booked after we had already booked our wedding. I understand why, but we ended up having to do our makeup 5 hours prior to the ceremony just to accommodate her. It was a bummer, but like I said it was a big deal for her so I get it. She was in and out in about an hour. Then her assistant had to wait around for 4 hours while we set up the reception space and got our hair done. Our day was, I’m sure, an exception to her normal protocol. But I paid for Kara and got her assistant, who was lovely, but still not Kara.

Kara Winslow does amazing makeup! She is professional and enjoyable. She did my engagement photo makeup, entire bridal party makeup, and boudoir makeup. She is fairly quick too-able to get our entire party done expertly and efficiently. She does so much more than makeup though-she worked well with our vendors and helped the entire wedding day. She was always by my side and quickly touched up all makeup after anyone cried or was getting sweaty in the Florida weather. She stayed all day and is always there until after ceremony photos to make sure you look flawless for all those professionally priced photos that will last for generations. We would absolutely use her again and highly recommend her to any bride researching a makeup artist for their wedding day! She’s worth every single dollar and then some. Her products didn’t react to anybody’s skin and nobody had any breakouts-quite a feat with some teens and those with very sensitive skin. I can’t recommend her enough. Book her now!

Last weekend I got married at the Thomas Center in Gainesville, FL. Kara had done the make up of a close friend's wedding 6-months earlier and I loved her. I then decided to hire her for our wedding and she did make up for 6 of us, including two mothers. She's phenomenal. She's talented. She's on time, responsible and friendly, but most importantly she makes you feel extra special, works with you til you are comfortable with the look and then stays with you until the ceremony is over. She carried my train, my bouquet, you name it. Her service is amazing. Look no further when you're hiring for make up. It's worth every penny.

Hire this artist. Seriously. Hire her yesterday. I felt glamorous throughout my entire wedding but I still felt 100% like myself thanks to Kara. Not only did she make me feel confident in my look but she was a wonderful help to have with me on my wedding day. She was makeup artist and bridal assistant from getting ready through the ceremony. My new husband admitted the biggest "wow" moment for him was in fact my makeup! Kara was one of my vendors I was most confident and sure of and I could not be happier with the results. Thank you Kara!

Kara did my bridal make-up, along with a few bridesmaids and our mothers. I don't normally wear a lot of make up so she kept it natural and fresh- the product felt light on my skin and was applied quickly. I wasn't 100% sure about booking a make-up artist at first, but everyone looked flawless! Kara's charming personality made our wedding day so much fun as she traveled around town with us for our 2 hour pre-ceremony photo shoot. She was punctual and excited on the big day and made the whole experience of getting ready very special. Thanks Kara, for making us all look beautiful and feel comfortable.

I used to model and act in my twenties. I have dealt with many makeup artists. Kara is definitely the best in this area, hands down. She did a wonderful job on my bridal party and me. The best part about Kara is that she uses high quality studio makeup, such as MAC. In addition, she knows how to really make each face look beautiful. The best part is that Kara didn't leave until all of the pictures were taken after the ceremony. She kept touching up my makeup after every picture and she even helped my bridesmaids get dressed. She is so dedicated and she is super friendly too. I LOVED HER. I can't tell you any more strongly then this, that this woman knows her makeup, she is on time and she doesn't leave until you go into the reception. Her prices are so reasonable too. If you are getting makeup done in the Central Florida area, you need to book Kara. She definitely was the BEST vendor at my wedding.
