Karen Sabag RUINED my wedding experience!
I went to her to make my wedding dress traveling roughly 5 hours each way- 4 times- for a defective and CHEAP dress! Even on my last visit, she had me arrive early on the day that so was to pick up the dress and she did the beading on the dress same day?! I waited for 2 hours after my arrival to see her and that was just to try on a dress that hasn’t been adorned! I paid this woman $7,000! She rushed the beading on my dress 1 week before my wedding and was bragging about going to a $20 million dollar wedding just 5 days before!
My dress was delivered to me with different flower patterns than I agreed to. I cried when I saw it…in HORROR. Her and her mother and another seamstress attempted to doctor up this rushed dress but it couldn’t be doctored up. I cried and left the shop. I immediately called my fiancé and he told me to go back and pick up the dress because she told me that she would not refund any of my money as “All sales are final”. I had already paid $4500! Instead of losing $4500, I paid the remaining balance of $2500. I didn’t open the dress to look at it until I went to get it appraised 3 days later. The first appraiser pointed out a hole in the lace…just 6 inches from the crotch on the front of the dress! The sleeves- made from the same material as a bridal garter- were cheap and easily stretch out of shape! The appliqué on the back of the dress has traces of thread in the appliqué and the buttons on the back are misaligned and sloppily sewn! The dress is see-through from the hips downward! The train wasn’t sewn closed and the appraiser- a bridal expert of 20+ years and a seamstress- found a sheet of paper in the train! Did I say $7,000?! This appraiser appraised the dress at $800! That didn’t even take into account the hole in the lace on the front of the dress! I went to David’s Bridal and had it appraised also. It was appraised at $900 there! Two independent appraisers appraised this dress with just a $100 difference. The ACCURACY. I NEVER told each that I had or was getting a separate appraisal. I told Karen it looked cheap when I arrived the first time to pick it up. It’s one of the reasons I cried in horror. I had less than a week until my wedding and I had invested thousands of dollars into my “dream dress” only to be frauded by Karen Sabag! Fraud is misrepresentation. Karen told me my dress was “expensive” and that she used French lace. So when I got the appraisals, I asked what type of lace was used. Each appraiser told me “French lace”, but that it was “cheap” French lace and not expensive. I got both appraisals on video. I’ve tried incessantly to get my money back but my card companies are telling me that “All sales final” is absolute despite the defects in the dress and the dress being not what I agreed to per the sketch I signed upon making my down payment. I was better off with a rack dress!!!! I returned the defective merchandise AND this woman kept my $7000! She keeps erasing my Google reviews but KARMA…she will get hers. Stay away!
What can I even say?! Karen is a true QUEEN!!!!! Not only is she unbelievably talented but she was so sweet and amazing to work with to make my dream wedding dress come to life. I felt like a true princess!!! Especially coming from someone who never thought I’d get that “aha this is it” moment everyone hopes for during dress shopping…Karen made that happen for me & so much more! I was obsessed with the way my dress turned out & everyone was in love with it that day too. I got so many compliments and questions asking where I got it from. Karen made my day so special & I am so grateful for her :)
HIGHLY recommend!!!!!
