Karina was truly a blessing to have capture our wedding day. 🤍 We honestly could not have imagined having anyone else behind the camera for such an important and meaningful day in...

our lives. From the moment we met her at our engagement shoot, she made us feel so comfortable, understood, and completely ourselves. She brought such a calm, warm, and genuine energy to the entire day, which made everything feel even more special. There are so many moments from our wedding day that we will never be able to put into words, and Karina somehow captured every single one of them. She captured the big, beautiful moments, but more importantly, she captured all of the little moments in between — the looks, the laughter, the happy tears, the excitement, the love, and all of the emotions that made our day uniquely ours. Looking through our gallery feels like stepping back into that day and getting to experience it all over again. What makes Karina so special is that she doesn't just take incredibly beautiful photographs — she captures the feeling behind them. Every image feels so natural, romantic, timeless, and full of emotion. She has such an incredible eye for detail and such a beautiful way of telling a story through her work. We wanted our wedding photos to feel elegant and timeless while still feeling authentic to us, and she exceeded every expectation we had. She was also so incredibly thoughtful throughout the entire process. From planning and communication leading up to the wedding to making sure we felt comfortable and knew exactly what to do on the day of, she was amazing. There was never a moment where we felt stressed about photos because we knew we were in such good hands. She was somehow everywhere she needed to be without ever making anything feel forced or staged. Our wedding day went by far too quickly, but because of Karina, we now have these beautiful memories that we can hold onto forever. We will be able to look back at these photographs years from now and remember exactly how we felt in those moments. That is such an incredible gift, and we truly cannot thank her enough for it. Karina, thank you for being such a beautiful part of our wedding day and for putting so much heart, talent, and passion into what you do. We are so grateful that you were the one to document the beginning of this next chapter of our lives. You gave us so much more than photographs — you gave us memories we will treasure for the rest of our lives. 🤍 If you are looking for a wedding photographer, we genuinely cannot recommend Karina enough. She is incredibly talented, kind, patient, professional, and truly has a gift for capturing love in the most beautiful way. We feel so lucky that we found her and even luckier that we get to have her work as a part of our story forever. 🤍✨

My husband and I got married two weeks ago and WOW, we had the best NY wedding photographer in the game! Karina is so kind, so talented, so fun, and so professional. We met Karina ...

on the day of our engagement shoot and were super impressed at our first meetup. Since then, we've only been more and more impressed. On our wedding day between photos, we'd hear murmurs from family members and bridal party members like "WOW! She's excellent, huh?" Our sneak peek photos are just as excellent as she is. Booking Karina was the best decision we made! When it was time for her to leave towards the end of the reception, I wanted to ask her to stay just to dance and enjoy the wedding just because of how much warmth and fun she added on our wedding day. I'd also like to give a shout out to the photographer Karina brought with her that day, Beth. Beth was with my husband and the groomsmen when they were getting ready and during that time, I received a text: Beth is the GOAT. We couldn't recommend Karina Mekel Photography more.

inal product is off-the-charts - our photos were STUNNING. She is definitely ready to take charge and go the extra mile to make sure your day is everything you dreamed of - and captured for a lifetime of memories. She was SOO speedy with her turnaround and always accessible and communicative from our engagement photos to our wedding day and throughout the delivery process. We are so incredibly glad to have chosen Karina (and that she spent her time with us!!) - I hope one day to book with Karina for her maternity photos, too.

tentive to helping us create the vision that we wanted. We loved her photos from her portfolio but our engagement and wedding sneak peak photos are nothing short of break-taking. She made us feel comfortable so that we could really be ourselves in front of the camera. She is delightful to be around and you really feel she is another person invested in making your day be the best ever. She came prepared, engaged with our wedding party and was so thoughtful about getting the shots we wanted. A truly memorable day and we can’t wait to see the rest of her beautiful work from our wedding day! We can’t wait to work with her again in the future!

photography is beyond romantic and soft, we loved her for our August wedding which was a romantic light pink neutrals theme. She brought it everything we wanted on our shot list, and was always checking to make sure she was getting every shot. I cannot recommend her more enough and I cannot wait to use her for future family photo shoots!!

sal, a bridal shower or baby shower; I have worked with her for all of these types of events and more. She has a good eye and is able to capture the most beautiful moments. Her style is bright, romantic, light and airy but with character and great detail. It is such a relief to be able to fully experience an event knowing that every detail and memorable moment will be captured beautifully. I am so thankful to have met her and grateful for the countless memories she has captured and gifted to me and so many families. I highly recommend hiring Karina to elevate any event or wedding experience with her timeless, elegant and gorgeous photography style.

We absolutely LOVED working with Karina for our engagement photoshoot and wedding photography. We went to Central Park for our engagement photoshoot and Karina had the best ideas o...

n what spots to go to and made us feel at ease with all the different poses. She was also super encouraging and made us smile a lot! The wedding was a blur, but Karina and her assistant were awesome in making sure to capture all the pictures we wanted without adding to the stress at all. She was able to give us a sneak peek the next 1-2 days!! It was so nice being able to see the photos so quickly and made us even more excited to see the rest. She captured the best parts of our wedding and we could not have asked for a better wedding photographer!! But it wasn't over when the wedding was over - because Karina's photos were so great, we got featured in the NJ Bride magazine! This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I can safely say it would not have been possible without Karina.

he did amazing job in capturing our engagement shoot, which was shot in Central Park. She also had the best recommendations for locations around the park. For our wedding, Karina created the most detailed timeline and worked closely with me to put together a detailed shot list. On the actual day of the wedding, I was so impressed with her problem-solving, energy and creativity. I had countless friends and family members who also sing her praises. Our wedding was at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden which is a challenging venue because it's primarily outdoors, and it started raining for our 1st look. Karina remained calm and came to the table with a bunch of creative solutions, resulting in beautiful photos amidst the rain. But what truly sets Karina apart is her ability to capture the essence of a moment. She didn't just take pictures; she told a story. She captured the fun energy of getting ready with my bridesmaids, to a special look and fun reception. If you're looking for a wedding photographer who will capture the magic of your day, look no further than Karina. She's not just a photographer; she's an artist, a storyteller, and a true magician with a camera. She'll capture the essence of your love and turn your wedding into a fairytale you'll never forget.

ssional. She made everyone in our wedding party feel so comfortable and confident in the pictures, and multiple people commented to me what a great experience they had with her. Karina is also truly an artist. She has such a great eye, and she did such an amazing job capturing all the details and little moments of our wedding – including things we never would have thought to capture. We are obsessed with all of the photos in our sneak peek (which we got shortly after our wedding), and we cannot wait to see the rest!

ndly, and all of our guests loved her. She worked SO hard to make our day so special and she captured it so perfectly. My husband (who typically doesn't like his picture taken) was happy to take pictures all day because Karina made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Our guests can't stop talking about how sweet and professional she was. She went above and beyond, taking so many more photos than we put on our list- things I didn't even think to put on there. She just knew what to capture and really took her time to make sure every detail was beautiful. I'm so happy we chose Karina to capture our special day and we can't wait to see the rest of our pictures! We found our photographer and a friend for life and can not wait to work with her again!!

We just can’t speak highly enough about Karina! She photographed us for an anniversary session in the cherry blossoms three years after our wedding, and the time and care she took ...

of us were absolutely outstanding. I really welcomed her extra advice with going through cute poses so that we would have a variety of looks (this matters even more if you aren’t changing outfits). She knew how to find the most flattering angles and light and how to make us feel relaxed and at ease, and she delivered us an absolutely gorgeous gallery, including lots of detail shots and individual photos for my husband and for me. We are recommending her to our other local friends who are getting married!

When my husband and I eloped in 2019, I knew that I wanted Karina to document our wedding and take our pictures in New York City for the day. Upon perusing her portfolio, I notice...

d that her soft, classic, bright, and airy photography brought out the absolute best in New York City and in the couples she photographed, so I confidently booked a shoot with her. Karina was heavily pregnant at the time and didn’t stop snapping pictures for a second — a true Wonder Woman. She was doing circles around me! A true feat. Together, we shared stories and laughs and cab rides together…it was a lovely day and Karina was a huge part of that intimate memory. Three years later, my husband and I still swoon over the pictures Karina produced for us. There were dozens and dozens of shots she took that day and every single picture was perfect. I really mean that — every single picture. In fact, it was painful narrowing down our favorite shots when we framed our wedding pictures. She captured the city and our love in the most perfect ways. Karina herself listened to (and accomplished) everything we were looking for — we wanted photos in particular locations, certain poses, etc. but she also has a phenomenal instinct and would suggest things that we ended up doing too. She truly loves her job and is great at her craft. Karina goes above and beyond. You can tell with her photography that she’s got a special talent and a keen eye for photographing people. Her sunny disposition and fun personality made the day even better. Photos are such an important part of any special event — perhaps your most important event investment — so figuring out who you want to hire can be nerve wracking and stressful. There is no one else I’d recommend as thoroughly, confidently, and strongly as I would Karina. Please don’t hesitate and book her before someone else does. It was a joy working with Karina three years ago and it’s been a joy seeing her portfolio and clientele expand. We still keep in touch! My only regret is that she can’t photograph my maternity photos this winter since we live on opposite coasts. I know that I will be hard pressed to find someone as fantastic and talented as Karina here in California. If you’re on the east coast, my massive loss is your massive gain. Don’t hesitate or think twice — book with this exceptional photographer and woman now!!

zing work still carries over to her family sessions! She has done my outdoor family session last spring and our maternity session recently. She captures us so beautifully and elegantly, even with two crazy toddlers! I’d love to redo my wedding vows and she for sure would be “The One” for me! If you’re looking for a super easy going, sweet and friendly photographer that will guide you and provide breathtaking photos of you with your loved ones or on your special day, you can definitely trust Karina!!
