Karissa Knowles Photography

I booked Karissa as my wedding photographer back in April for my wedding 12/3/2016. I was so excited. At the very end of August I emailed Karissa because I had a question and she responds to me that she had been meaning to contact me because her daughter was having surgery on my wedding day and she would prefer to be with her daughter that day instead of shooting my wedding. She told me she had an amazing back up photographer that she would send to photograph my wedding but she would still do the final editing. She said this back up photographer was so good that she had wanted him to be her photographer at her wedding when she got married earlier that year. With the high recommendation, I agree to the back up photographer. After I see my pictures, I told Karissa that I did not feel like a lot of his pictures were as good as hers would have been. Mostly the pics after the ceremony, they just did not look like crisp professional photos and were kinda blurry. She told me it looked like lighting was an issue. (But if it was going to be an issue he should have known, because Karissa had previously told me that he shot a wedding out at my venue just a few weeks before my wedding date.) Karissa did offer me a free session because of everything. But I said no, because I was just going to let it all go. After all, I did have photos from my wedding (not necessarily Karissa Knowles photos) but I still had photos. However, I kept having a weird feeling that something was just off about this whole situation. So I went to look at Karissa's facebook page and I was reading comments from people about how gorgeous Karissa's photos are and how Karissa has such wonderful ideas and poses for wedding parties (which I did not get with the back up photographer, he did not help with cute poses at all with group photos after ceremony)....when I came across this comment from a girl named Ellena who posted a photo of the engagement shoot Karissa photographed of her and her fiance in JUNE. Under the photo the girl said she couldn't wait for Karissa to photograph her wedding in DECEMBER. So I clicked on the girls profile page and what did I find! She not only had a few pictures of her wedding posted but she also posted that she got married on DECEMBER 3, 2016. THE SAME DATE THAT I HAD A SIGNED CONTRACT WITH KARISSA TO PHOTOGRAPH MY WEDDING! Karissa lied about being with her daughter that day and went to photograph another bride's wedding! I then went back to Karissa's page and sure enough she had posted a wedding photo of Ellena and her husband on her page! I just could NOT BELIEVE that Karissa had done this to me. I paid her asking price. We had a signed contract that stated she could not reserve another event the same day and time as my wedding. I just can't believe she would treat a client this way. She photographs weddings for a living. She knows how important the photos are. And she knew I loved her photographs and skills. SHE BROKE OUR CONTRACT and tried to get away with it thinking I wouldn't find out. I have tried confronting her but SHE IS IGNORING ME, which proves she knows she did me wrong but I guess she just DOESN'T CARE. She cheated me out of her services just to make even more money. Her back up photographer Parker Radbourne is ignoring me too. I guess they were both in on it. I just thought I needed to let others know this is how Karissa does business and treats her clients. And to be wary she might do the same thing to you.
