We chose Karma Hill Photography for our family vacation to Maui. Our experience with Karma Hill was top notch, from the booking through the photo session, the communication was perfect, clear and just the right amount. The photographer was Michelle and she had fantastic energy. She was excellent and we would highly recommended Karma Hill to anyone interested in a professional photography session.

We used Simple Maui Weddings to help coordinate and plan our wedding in Maui. As apart of the package we selected, it came with photography which happened to be with Karma Hill Photography. Although we never met with Karma Hill Photography prior to the wedding day, Simple Maui Weddings gave us all of the tips in order to ensure we were prepared for our big day. They made sure we had a list together of all of the portraits we wanted and even gave us examples and the best way to organize them to ensure it went smoothly. They also made sure to talk about the different things to worry about when getting married on a beach, for example it can be very windy so getting a wedding dress with a big slit might not be the best idea unless you are dead set on a slit. I was extremely thankful for that advice because it was very windy the day of our wedding. The photographer assigned to us was phenomenal on our wedding day. She was very professional and made us feel very comfortable while taking photos. She made sure to ask if there were any specific photos we wanted prior to leaving each spot we took pictures at and at the end communicated the time line of when we could expect to receive them all back. We received all of our pictures within the time frame she mentioned and they came out even better than expected. When looking for a photographer, highly recommend looking at their website to ensure it matches the vibe you are looking for and both Simple Maui Weddings and Karma Hill Photography's websites had the same type of pictures I was hoping for and they both exceed my expectations. I 100% would recommend both Simple Maui Weddings and Karma Hill Photography to anyone getting married on Maui or if you are looking for professional pictures.

We SO enjoyed our shoot with Karma Hill. The photographer was professional and well prepared for any hiccups, he brought an umbrella for us and had it ready when it sprinkled rain for a few minutes, and a little toy for our toddler to focus on when she inevitably got disinterested in taking photos, as well as managed to get some smiles out of our newborn! He helped us feel natural in the photos while also suggesting poses for us to do next. I highly recommend Karma Hill and would gladly use them again in the future.

These guys are amazing! Great with communication and very clear on when explaining locations, process, etc! They even helped me with my dinner reservations afterwards. We had an absolutely amazing experience with Karma Hill and their photographer, Lauren. Karma Hill is excellent with communication. They updated us very frequently, and they were very quick to respond when I had a question. Lauren was absolutely fantastic! She was great with the high winds we had that day. She was amazing with my 7 year old, and she took every shot we asked for and more. She was patient, kind, encouraging and engaging. We visited Hawaii from Pennsylvania, so reviews were all we had when making our decision on a photographer. I am very satisfied with our experience, and we can’t wait to see our photos!

Our wedding ceremony was planned by Simple Maui Wedding and Samantha from Karma Hill Photography was our photographer! She is amazing! After the ceremony, we breezed through all the group photos and then walked over to a gorgeous location on the rocks right by the ocean. We felt a bit awkward at first since we've never done a photoshoot before, but Samantha knew exactly what to do and guided us through it all. I haven't seen all the photos yet since it's only been a week, but from the previews I already know that my hopes have been exceeded! I love how bright and airy the pictures feel, with the blue sky and ocean perfectly captured. A big thank you to Samantha and Karma Hill Photography!

She gave great direction and she even gave us lots of good restaurant and activity recommendations for the remainder of our trip on Kauai. When I saw our photos, I was speechless. I'm very glad that we chose Karma Hill Photography! After eloping in the Kalalau Valley, we knew that we wanted to hire a professional to capture some memories on the island. This website had detailed suggestions for attire and pre planning the shoot. Directions to the locations were very helpful! They had beautiful pictures showing us and our love, and captured the fun laughter that went on during our ceremony as well! They even spent a little extra time towards the end when I looked up at the moon and told them how much I loved a full moon and captured our full moon in our wedding sunset picture. Karma Hill was so clutch in capturing our proposal on Maui! All of of friends are astounded by the beauty of the pictures. Our photographer was so accommodating to include my fiance's family in the pictures as well, so we were able to get a few family shots as well as a phenomenal sequence of photos to relive the proposal moment. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone visiting the islands!!

Our pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous and were sent very quickly! Within a week, we had 30-40 sneak peek pictures that we got to enjoy while we were still honeymooning on the island! We had such a good experience!! The photographer Aubrey was amazing and so kind. There was a car accident that caused us to be 30 minutes late and she stayed and helped us make an awesome memory for our family. We did our photos at shipwreck beach in the evening and it was amazing. I would recommend this company over and over again!

We had a great time at our photo session with Tenessa! It was a beautiful night and she captured so many great combinations of photos (combinations of family members and various backgrounds). She paid such close attention to detail, making sure everyone looked their best (which is not easy with 6 people..4 of them kids!), making sure no one’s hair was going too crazy in the wind, etc. It was a great experience, even with a few kids who were over it by the end, she got them laughing and made it work. I was connected to Karma Hill through my wedding planner, Simple Maui Weddings. (Karma Hill partners with SMW for their wedding packages.) At first, I was nervous about not getting to research and choose my photographer for the big day, but it quickly became apparent that I had no reason to be worried. Karma Hill was professional, so fun to work with, and the pictures are the best professional photos that I've ever had taken. The session FLEW, and the photos we got back are stunning. I cannot recommend Karma Hill enough! My husband and I have already discussed setting up a "just for fun" session with them when we return to HI for vacation next year!

Another important vendor to carefully consider for a special event is the photographer/photography company, especially for an event we (hubby and I) believe is a great milestone, like a 10 yr wedding anniversary celebrated with a vow renewal. We first planned on first searching for a venue, then the wedding coordinator, then the photographer, etc. We were blessed to have been led to Simple Oahu Wedding package which included photography from Karma Hill. The dreamy and stunning photos in their webpage captivated us and most importantly we felt the same when they showed us a sneak peak of our own event. Megan was amazing during the event, very professional yet warm and made us both at ease while being photographed. Manelle was our photographer with Karma Hill Photography and she was so amazing. The best part was her attention to detail and patience! She was always fixing my hair (which I appreciated BIG time with this Maui wind) and told us how to pose the entire time since we weren’t really great at that. Overall she was super kind and great to work with! I would book her again and again in Maui! Side bonus, she even gave us beach recommendations which we checked out during our stay. Super great photographer and experience for us!

Our Maui elopement had to be postponed four times due to COVID. Our day finally came, was perfect for a sunset beach elopement then out of the blue, torrential downpour. We reside in California and decided on a destination wedding not knowing what to expect as this is something out of our area, but Karma Hill team hit this one out of the park! Tenessa is a natural, base on the photos we provided weeks in advanced of our wedding day she utilized the style of portraits we submitted and skillfully capture it all, composition, lighting and angles is magical. When it came time to select the photos it was a difficult task as every shot was perfect therefore we opted to purchase the entire album set. We only wished they were based in California, we would contract them for all of our life’s special moments.
