I loved the way I looked on my wedding! Diana and Marilys did a great job on hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and I. Everyone loved their look and they stayed on schedule. I always hear that hair and makeup runs late, but not in this case. Karen was also very professional throughout the process and answered all the questions I had about anything and everything. Make sure you schedule a trial so you can meet your artist beforehand and share your vision with them. Definitely recommend!

My bridal party and I looked beautiful on my wedding day and the hair and makeup lasted all night! They are quick to respond and are flexible with travel. I highly recommend!

Karens team did a fantastic job with our bridal party hair and makeup. On time and had everything one could need . Very flexible in making changes or last minute touchups. The team was very friendly and did fabulous work.

Karen was absolutely amazing! She was very accommodating and communicative with me. On time, worked quickly but diligently, all around a perfect experience from start to finish. I am from out of town and took a chance booking with no trial run, but she was easy to talk to about what look I was wanting, and to say she delivered exactly what I wanted and more was an understatement! I looked better than my inspiration pictures. I also added the airbrush option and my makeup did not budge from noon to midnight when I took it off, even through getting cake on my face at my reception. A perfect 10/10 experience! I would recommend them to any and everyone.

We used Karmel for my wedding day and were SO glad we did! Diana was our lead artist and she was one of the sweetest and chill people I've met! The morning started a little delayed, but she was super calm and was able to take care of everyone without the timeline getting pushed back. Everyone had an example photo for their hair and Diana did a beautiful job replicating the looks everyone desired. The makeup she did for myself and my matron of honor was flawless! I've never had faux eyelashes put on that stayed ALL day, but these did! Day of aside, Karen was an absolute joy to work with leading up to the event. She was super communicative, and even though we had several last minute changes to our timeline, she was super patient with us! I highly recommend Karmel Design Team to anyone in the area for ANY event. They are kind, calm and talented people who will make you feel like a princess no matter what the occasion!

Karmel is seriously so amazing! I had them for my wedding and I can’t believe how beautiful I felt all day and night. My hair and makeup were perfect and lasted all day!! I used Karmel Design Team for my daughters wedding. Karen and her team are absolutely amazing!!! My daughter and I did a trail run. She worked with us to figure out exactly what we wanted. On the day of the wedding EVERYONE looked gorgeous. Her team did hair, makeup, and lashes for 11 people. The makeup was still fresh hours later and our hair lasted well into the next day. Everyone looked current and every girl felt beautiful. I personally can’t thank her enough for how she made my daughter and I feel that day. Truly our BEST day EVER ❤️

My actual hair and makeup artist, Diana, was awesome at both the trial and the wedding day! She was able to bring my vision to life and I loved my hair and makeup on my wedding day. I even told her that I am notorious for crying (at weddings) and sweating (in general), and she made sure that my make up didn't budge one bit throughout the day/night. She was also very warm and hospitable and I felt nice and relaxed while she was working on me. On the other side of things, my only suggestion is maybe to have an assistant for the admin/office type side of things like answering emails/calls, drafting contracts and timelines, etc because I had to ping them again a couple times to get responses and also had some small inaccuracies in my documents. But I highly recommend Karmel Design Team Artistry!

Karen and her team were amazing!! They did such an amazing job on hair and makeup. They also were so accommodating when I had to push out my wedding date. Not only did they do my bridesmaids hair and makeup they also did my moms hair and my future mother in law and grandmother’s hair and makeup. Everyone was blown away with how great of a job Karen and her team did!

**Added comments** I hired Karen based on the recommendation from my photographer and photos I saw online from her teams work. I’ll explain the two-stars below: Communication: Left MUCH to be desired. There was no communication leading up to my wedding day. I booked my date and paid my deposit months in advance of my wedding date. Completed all the forms sent to me. I heard nothing from Karen leading up to the wedding day. I called her a week before the wedding, she sounded frazzled, asked me the same questions on the form, and said she would get a timeline over to me. I never received a timeline. Aside from that, email responses were slow (almost a week to respond to questions), and often didn’t anwser what I was asking. **I completed all forms upon placing my deposit. I did not ask for my date to be help after my initial inquiry, while I appreciate that it was as a curtesy.** Payment: I paid a deposit initially. I told Karen I would be covering the amount for all of the services provided. I asked for an invoice when I called her a week before the wedding, she said she would get it to me, I never received it. She showed up the day of my wedding to “help” with the services, after just an hour of “helping” to curl hair she said she needed to take payment from me and needed to leave. Charging a bride $1,000+ the day of the wedding (a day I was supposed to be relaxing) is highly unprofessional. **I never saw an invoice prior to the moment I was charged. I asked for an invoice the day before the wedding and it was promised to me by 2pm and I still didn’t receive it. Regardless- an invoice should have been send a week or weeks prior to the wedding day, not the day before. This show the lack of organization on the owners behalf for which the customer suffers. Day of adjustments can be taken care of on wedding day, but bulk 1K payments should be collected ahead of time.** Makeup: no complaints, Fernanda did an amazing job with everyone’s makeup. Hair: I can’t remember the name of the stylist who was with us, but she was average at best. My bridesmaids hair seemed very plain and without any style to it. My hair was an up-do, by the end of the ceremony, pieces of the up-do were falling out. We had to keep repining it throughout the night. **While there was inclement weather on my wedding day, the ran didn’t start until late afternoon/evening. There’s no reason my hair should be falling out after my ceremony other than it was poorly done.** Overall- I think this vendor lacks strongly in communication, professionalism and organization. Out of all the vendors I choose from my wedding this is the one I regret the most. I’d recommend staying away from KDTA and choosing someone else for your hair/makeup on your big day- you deserve better!!

Karen was a sweet heart to work with! So was all her staff! My bridesmaids all felt gorgeous and were taking endless selfies to post after they got them all dolled up. I felt like a princess myself! 100 % recommend them!

I cannot say enough amazing things about this design team. These girls are wizards!!! I have never felt more beautiful, and I can genuinely say that each of the ten ladies they transformed felt exactly the same way. With all of the details to decide and things that must be "just-so", Karen took the stress out of feeling beautiful on my big day. She didn't chide me for not having more pictures or ideas, or for the scheduling mix-up (SO SORRY!!), she never made us feel rushed even though their were so many of us and we caused a late start.... They were SO professional, fun, and easy-going. It was like a super chill beauty assembly line! Karmel is the vibe you want on your day. Thank you so much ladies!!!

Karen is super sweet and easy to talk to, I immediately felt comfortable with her when we had our test appointment for my hair, and she created exactly what I had in mind for me. My hair looked beautiful on my wedding day, as did the hair of all of my bridesmaids. Truly cannot fault Karen or her team for anything that was done on my wedding day. They were punctual, helpful, and did everything that we asked perfectly. My hair even stayed in for 10 hours, which is crazy - my hair never holds a curl for that long. I was so impressed with how long it stayed in. I then had a follow up appointment about a week later where Karen came and did my hair a second time for an additional photoshoot we were doing - the second time it flattened within like 3 hours, it didn't look nearly as great in my photos as it did the first time. Still, the large majority of what we had done was perfect, and I would recommend this team to anyone! They are great!

For a girl with very straight flat hair, what Karen did on my wedding day was something I didn't even think possible. She gave me the old Hollywood curls and volume of my dreams (plus some extensions she added in!), and absolutely beautiful make up. My mom, too, who has extensions, was very happy with what Karen achieved. She is usually very self conscious about her hair, so the fact that Karen was able to give her a look she was impressed with is a rarity. My bridesmaids and mother-in-law also loved their looks by Amber, who took care to listen to all their requests and adjust to make sure everyone left happy. We were so impressed by the Karmel team and their attention to detail and were so lucky to have them with us on the big day!

Karmel Design Team Artistry is the best! Especially Karen! She made me look and feel so beautiful for my big day. She is an artist! I had my makeup and hair done by her, and she was just an absolute pleasure throughout the entire process. Unfortunately, I am still waiting for my wedding pictures so I do not have any at the moment to post, but will as soon as they come in. Thank you again Karmel Design Team Artistry! When I first got to Karen, it was my second makeup/hair trial and I was nervous that I would be disappointed again but luckily I was not. She was very reassuring and helped me feel confident in her work. It's so important to feel good with your makeup artist since they are the vendor that spend the most time with you. She was super calming and very nice. She tried a bunch of different hair styles and was really patient with me as I decided what to do. We had a great trial so I hired her for the wedding. On the wedding day we had about 15 ladies who needed hair/makeup services. Karen showed up with two other artists and they were completely done with everyone in just under four hours! They were super time efficient, friendly, and fun. I wasn't completely sure what I wanted to do for the bridesmaids' hair and Karen worked with me to figure it out. Some of them were not completely satisfied with their hair (nothing that Karen did wrong, they are just picky) and Karen did not hesitate to re-do their hair until they were fully satisfied. Everyones hair and makeup turned out beautiful and we were all so happy with the results! Karen and her team were awesome- definitely hire her for your wedding!!

The girls did such a wonderful job!! We had a lot of girls and they kept everything on time, and everyone's hair and makeup looked great!!! I would recommend them for anyones special day!!

I showed pictures of my vision and they were able to deliver more than I could have imagined! Other than the evident talent, the team was very personable and kept my anxieties at bay as we got ready. I am so happy I went with Karen and her team! My hair and makeup we're absolutely flawless. I showed her one picture and she knew EXACTLY what I wanted, which just shows how knowledgeable she is. She was exactly on time when it came to my timeline. whenever I had a question, she replied that day! having a vendor that replies to you quickly is something that is overlooked. I had certain vendors who would take days to reply, and when you're planning a wedding, having a vendor treat your big day like their big day was so amazing. professional, incredibly nice, easy to talk to, and SO TALENTED. I think I looked in the mirror a hundred times! actually, it's the morning after my wedding and of course I didn't take my makeup off and even after dancing, sweating, and crying, my makeup is all still in place basically. If you're hesitent with who to get, this is me telling you to just go ahead and book Karen and her team!

I can not recommend Karen and her team enough! I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life!!! I received so many compliments about her work; especially my hair. Honestly, this was one of the components I was most concerned about. I have very long hair and most people “run away” when they see that. So, I was nervous that on my wedding day I wasn’t going to look the way I wanted to. Karen blew me away! I felt so damn good, it didn’t matter if something went wrong. I knew I looked great, which made me feel great, and that made me feel at ease. My Mom and four bridesmaids all got their hair and makeup done as well. Everyone looked absolutely stunning. I was so impressed. My wedding was on 3/18/19 at The Highland Manor. Therefore, Karen opened up her studio to us so we could be close to the venue. This was a wonderful and generous touch to her services. She also allowed us to work on our flowers/bouquets while we were there. We felt so welcomed. I did a trial with Karen and HIGHLY recommend doing so. I thought I wanted things one way, but after the trial realized I didn’t love it and wanted to make some small changes. If I hadn’t done the trial I wouldn’t have known that. It also made me feel at ease the day of. Thank you so very much to Karmel Design Team!

Karen is not only amazingly talented, she is professional and personable! I was extremely nervous about getting my hair and makeup done for my wedding, but she made me feel comfortable and walked me through the trial step by step to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. I have never felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day thanks to her. My bridesmaids and mom were just as in love with their looks as well! I can not recommend Karmel Design Team enough!

She did a wonderful job and I looked stunning! However, we did have some issues when it came to communication. I filled out a questionnaire and sent it to her a few times. Before a few days before my wedding she called and ended up taking the information over the phone because she still hadn't received it. Even though it was still in my emails. She arrived about a half an hour late because of traffic but so did my photographer. We are all human and things happen. In the end I looked lovely and that is what really mattered.

Let me just start by saying that my hair and makeup ended up being AMAZING! But I did have some stress along the way. I was in contact with Karen and she is the one who did my trial. My makeup was gorgeous! Absolutely GORGEOUS!! My hair we did not exactly finish because because it took A LOT longer to do my makeup than anticipated. My hair was short and needed to grow out a bit and Karen told me she would bring an insert for my updo but she didn't have it for the trial so we kind of just decided to wing it the day-of. I was at the appointment for over 2 hours and she did makeup and a partial hair trial. But I was feeling confident. Fast forward to a month or so before my wedding and I texted Karen to double check all plans were still set. She called me and it took some major convincing for her to remember me. She then told me she would send me the questionnaire and timeline to fill out. I informed her I had already filled them out MONTHS ago. She said ok and that she would email confirmation. Never got an email. Days went by, two weeks went by... no email, no contact. My planner ended up taking over contact. My planner said Karen was difficult to get a response from but once she got in contact, all plans were good to go! A week before my wedding, my mother-in-law ended up in the hospital in very, very critical condition. My planner got in touch with all my vendors to find out information IF we needed to postpone the wedding. Four days before the wedding we decided to continue with the plans. My planner got in touch with all the vendors again and informed them we were a-go! The morning of my wedding, a little over an hour before my Hair/Makeup artist should be in my hotel room, I get a phone call from the Karmel secretary "calling to confirm that we cancelled the wedding." WHAT?!? No! I inform her we are still getting married TODAY. She tells me "uhh. ok. Well instead of someone being there at 11am they will be there between 11:30-12." I immediately hang up and inform my planner who gets everything worked out and assures me hair/makeup will be there at 11am! Karen does not show up, who is the person I had my trial with and who told me she would be the one doing my hair and makeup. But Megan shows up (at exactly 11am) and she is AMAZING! She asks if Karen took any pics at the trial... No. She didn't do that. But I did happen to do a photoshoot after my trial so I had some pics. Karen had told me at my trial that she would bring a volumizing insert for my updo. She never told Megan to bring the insert. Anyways, it all turned out fine. My hair and makeup were BEAUTIFUL and I was VERY happy. But the journey to get there was stressful and not organized. Thank god I had a planner or else my head would have exploded!

Karmel design was professional and excellent. We did the trial and loved our hair and makeup by Diana. On the day of 3 artist completed 9 hair and makeup services in a matter of a few hours and every one looked stunning! So happy we went with Karmel for our wedding day hair and makeup!

On-time, professional and did a great job. One of my bridesmaid's hair wasn't how I wanted it and they redid it without any problem. My hair matched 100% how I envisioned it. I literally could not have been more pleased with how my hair (and my ladies) turned out.

Karen and her team of hair and make-up artists transformed me, my mom, mother-in-law, two flower girls and ten bridesmaids (yes, ten) into stunning princesses/models. That's basically the best way to describe how we looked when we were all done. We did a super early trial for my hair/make-up since I was moving out of state, and she was more than willing to set up a last-minute trial the day before my wedding as well. She got all of my girls ready with time to spare. She was so patient with all of our requests and alterations and really took her time to make sure she understood my vision. I found Karen and team through knot website.. always scary if you do not know who to use for your wedding. After the first trial I was so blessed I found them. Karen’s customer service is fantastic. I can't recommend Karen and Karmel Design Team enough! As a bride who rarely wears makeup and never does anything with her hair, I was really nervous about my hair and makeup for my wedding day. I wanted to look beautiful on my wedding day, but I also wanted to still look like myself. Karen found the perfect balance between makeup that was natural, but yet stepped up just the right amount to be glamorous enough for my wedding day. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day! I loved my make-up and hair the day of my wedding. I don't wear a lot of make-up on a daily basis and Karen worked with me until we found the right amount. My fiancee doesn't like a lot of make-up either and he said it was perfect the day of! I was also pretty undecided on my hair, and Karen came up with a design that was beautiful and what I wanted without me even knowing it. :-)

Karen was simply amazing. We did my test at her home studio and she nailed what I wanted for my special day. And she was affordable! When my makeup artist canceled on me at the last minute, Karen was there to pick up the pieces. She arrived early and everyone was done on time. I have absolutely no complaints about my experience.
