Karrie is an all around amazing person and great to work with! She was punctual with all of our meetings and super easy to get ahold of! She complete my bouquet plus 7 bridesmaids/groomsmen, parents flowers, and centerpieces! Everything was gorgeous!!!! She came on the day of the wedding and set everything up with her team and then came back that evening to tear everything down. It was so nice to have one less thing to worry about on my wedding day. If your looking for a florist Karrie is your lady!!

Where do I even begin?! Karrie was an absolute dream to work with from start to finish! From the very first meeting we had with Karrie, I knew I didn't have to look anywhere else. I had a vision I wanted to achieve and she knew exactly how to do so. I referred to her as my Fairy Godmother all throughout the planning process! She took our ideas and inspiration photos and brought them to life in a way I never imagined! She made our wedding a real life fairy tale. Walking into our ceremony and the ballroom was like walking into a dream! I don't have enough good things to say about Karrie. I absolutely recommend her to any brides looking for a wonderful and talented florist!

Karrie and her team did a great job with our wedding! Everything was perfect with my bouquet and everything else for the wedding party. She was even sweet to offer alternative for my (very young) niece in case carrying a basket didn't mesh well with her. We did candles for our centerpieces, and they were absolutely perfect! It provided just the warm glow we were hoping to achieve at the Edgeworth. Thank you Karrie for making our day so special.

Karrie was so much fun to work with and her floral arrangements were absolutely stunning! Karrie stayed in touch with me through the entire planning process and was very organized and professional. She was very attentive to the overall look I wanted, and we had so many compliments. The only reason I'm not giving Karrie 5 stars is because we were supposed to have our bouquets and boutonnieres delivered to our hotel by noon on the day of the wedding because we were doing a first look. I'm not sure what went wrong, whether it was a miscommunication or something else, but the flowers were not at the hotel on time. We did our first look without the bouquet and boutonniere, but the flowers were delivered in time for the rest of the bridal party pictures.

Very unique flower arrangements with a wide variety of flowers! Karrie was great to work with. Highly recommend.

Karrie did a great job in creating our bridal party flowers, church flowers, and cake topper. She took my style notes and added her creative touches to make absolutely stunning bouquets. We didn't have floral centerpieces and were not a full service wedding, meaning we needed to pick up the flowers ourselves. The day before the wedding I took a peak at my bouquet while picking up our cake flowers and had a request for a change in one of the flowers included. The shop made this change within the 24 hours before pickup on our wedding day without any hesitation even though they surely had other weddings to work on. I was incredibly impressed by this level of service and it really suggested to me that every one of their weddings is a priority. In addition to the great service we received, I can say that their prices were some of the more reasonable I found while researching florists in the area.

Karrie Hlista and her team are the very best! They provided me with bouquets, boutonnières, table centerpieces, and altar pieces for my wedding. Everything was absolutely dreamy, her team was on time, and I could not have imagined just how beautiful her work would be. I got compliments all night long. Thank you Karrie and team!

Karrie was fantastic. I needed flower arrangements for my sister’s bridal shower and she provided me with the perfect mix of flowers. She also made everything so easy. She coordinated delivery with the venue so that I didn’t need to be there for the delivery or act as the go between without me even asking! I would use her services again.

Karrie Hlista and her team did a fantastic job with our wedding day flowers. From my bridal bouquet to the boutonnieres, the large centerpiece arrangements to the small cocktail hour table details, and the amazing flower wall for our seating chart... everything was beyond what we could have imagined or hoped for! The ONLY reason I'm NOT giving a 5 star rating because there was a hiccup with our ceremony flower plans. Karrie is extremely organized (as was I through this whole process), and the only thing Karrie and her team were providing for the ceremony were their 2 tall white pedestals with tall flower arrangements on each... somehow, beyond all the organization of the day, those were completely forgotten by them. At the end of the day it truly didn't matter because I still got to marry my best friend at a beautiful venue (NOAH'S Event Venue), but for all the time and money put towards these gorgeous arrangements, it was very disappointing that they were not even used for the ceremony. Otherwise everything was perfect and beautiful, and I am very thankful for Karrie and her team's hard work!

Karrie did an amazing job! I just told her the theme I wanted and she created the most romantic centerpieces and bouquets! Everyone was impressed. She is worth every single penny!

Karrie did an amazing job on my bouquets and boutonnières. I didn’t get a full-service package from Karrie because my mother-in-law was ordering our centerpieces, but after 2 short phone calls and a few inspirational photos, I could tell Karrie knew exactly what I was envisioning. I didn’t see the bouquets until my wedding day, but I knew I was in good hands. I was so impressed with her work, as well as her ability to know what I was looking for just from a few short conversations. I received so many compliments on our bouquets, and all the colors she mixed in. I have no idea how you were able to merge my vibrant and antique looks, but you completely nailed it! Thank you!

Absolutely amazing! Choosing Karrie was truly one of the best (and easiest) decisions of the wedding planning process for me! She quickly caught on to my vision for florals and on my wedding day everything was even more beautiful than I could have imagined. I will never forget walking into our reception venue and being absolutely blown away by Karrie's work. She is also so professional, organized, responsive and kind and I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Karrie was absolutely wonderful to work with. She took all of her ideas and wants, and truly brought them to life. Our guests were truly in awe of how beautiful and exquisite our family arrangements were. The unique color scheme that she came up with was one in which I hadn't seen used in other weddings. With the addition of the floating candles, the reception room looked simply magical. We got so many compliments from guests who said it looked like something out of a fairytale :) I would highly recommend Karrie for weddings and events.

I truly do not know where to begin..Karrie was absolutely amazing. I will actually miss talking to her! Her designs took my breath away and was exactly everything I ever dreamed of. I have gotten many many compliments on the designs from the moment people walked into our venue. She created our wedding dream and I couldn't be more thankful for her!

Karrie did a great job on all of the flowers for my wedding last weekend at Heinz Chapel & The University Club. The flowers were all very beautiful and went really well with my theme, colors, taste, etc. Karrie worked hard to coordinate everything with us in advance and the week and day of my wedding. My favorite floral element was the flowers that we put in my bridesmaids' hair. Feeling so happy that all of our wedding photos will include such beautiful flowers thanks to Karrie Hlista Designs.

Karrie was AMAZING!! She is extremely professional, responsive, and her work is truly breath taking. I came to our initial meeting with just a few pictures and not much else to go on, and she completely transformed our entire wedding day into something spectacular. Her creativity is one of a kind. She does an excellent job staying within your budget while still giving you multiple options to choose from. I had staff from the hotel come up to me before/during/after the reception to tell me that our flowers and centerpieces were some of the best that they have ever seen! I was so impressed by every aspect of her work; she creates and delivers the entire visual experience, and goes above and beyond just providing flowers. Karrie was great to work with and the floral designs...breathtaking! We planned our wedding in Pittsburgh from another state and Karrie was available via phone and email to discuss options, numbers, and logistics. I picked a few flowers that I liked, she introduced me to some new ones, and I gave her a fair amount of leeway to create arrangements for the wedding and, let me tell you, they did not disappoint! She created a collection that was both whimsical and edgy, but wrapped in sophistication it it worked beautifully. I'm working to preserve my bouquet and my guests loved the unique and luscious arrangements. Besides the lovely flowers, Karrie is professional and punctual - I never once doubted her ability to deliver amazing flowers to two locations the day of my morning wedding in downtown Pittsburgh on a day that was replete with traffic due to graduations, sporting events, and other weddings. We ended up ordering 3 bouquets, 14 boutonnieres for wedding and family VIPs, 2 flowergirl wands, and 7 centerpieces. This fit our budget, but it was tempting to go over budget since Karrie has great ideas for creative arrangements and floral touches both at the ceremony and the reception venues.

We worked with Karrie for our wedding last weekend and couldn't be happier. The bouquets were beautiful and the centerpieces were, well, amazing! In addition to high and low centerpieces, I asked for a very special centerpiece for the memory table and Karrie definitely delivered! The memory table was beautiful. I had a lot of friends telling me to not pay attention to flowers but Karrie's designs brought the room to life. Those same friends can't stop raving about the centerpieces. Karrie has great ideas; I showed her what I liked and she took it from there. Very easy to work with and so happy with how everything turned out.

Karrie took my many, many ideas from Pinterest and turned them into my dream wedding flower arrangements. She was very responsive to emails and phone calls, gets back to me quickly on questions and changes. She also helped me work within my budget and provided options that made sense for my wedding.

Karrie did an absolutely fantastic job with our flowers! I was working with a very strict floral budget, and my wedding planner recommended Karrie as someone who could create a truly beautiful and artistic display while respecting the budget that I wanted to stay within, and she really delivered! My flowers looked extraordinary and I really could not have been more pleased with how everything turned out. Karrie really listened to me when we had our consultations and helped me to bring my vision to life at the wedding. She created displays that were striking without being over the top. She perfectly captured my vision of having a clean and classic look with all ivory flowers. She was able to recommend which varieties wouldn't break the bank, but would still look striking, and the result was nothing short of perfect. Karrie was awesome! She was great to work with, reasonably priced and the flowers came out absolutely beautiful! I received so many compliments on all of the flowers, especially my bridal bouquet. So glad we went with her; she totally captured the vision we had with the color scheme I was looking for.

Karrie had such an amazing design plan, it made it so easy for a bride to plan the flowers and decor for such a special day. After a short brainstorming session, she was able to help bring my vision to life. And she nailed it! We are still receiving compliments about how gorgeous everything turned out!

Karrie did an incredible job with designing and carrying out the vision I had for my wedding. Upon our first meeting, Karrie was vibrant and easy to work with. She was easy to get ahold of and responded in a timely manner. At our first meeting, Karrie understood exactly what I was trying to explain with my theme, and she worked within my budget. She explained ways to keep within the budget and she executed my ideas PERFECTLY. I was truly speechless the first time I saw the floral arrangement on our card table. She lets the flowers speak for themselves....she doesn't put fillers in her arrangements that take away the beauty of the flowers. Her work is very elegant and tasteful. It is also so nice to be able to rent candlesticks, etc. from Karrie. She is very fair and doesn't overcharge on these rentals. I have referred her for a friend's wedding, and she is having a wonderful experience with Karrie as well.

As a bride who didn't know what I was looking for in flowers, Karrie was great to work with. In the initial consultation, I described what I wanted the room to feel like, and she came up with so many creative ideas. We communicated with her throughout the process and updated and changed the plan to perfectly fit the venue. We were thrilled with how the flowers turned out- from the bows on the aisles at the church, to the bridal bouquet, to the centerpieces, it was all perfect. I would highly recommend Karrie Hlista Designs.

Karrie is amazing! For one,she is the sweetest person ever, but she also nailed my theme of airy romantic flowers. I had so many compliments from my guests that my flowers were different and a breath of fresh air from the normal bridal flowers. She's creative and I could not have asked for anything more! Karrie was absolutely wonderful to work with! She is extremely professional. She is very prompt in responding to emails, which I really appreciated. And we had multiple calls to go over all of the details for my wedding, which really helped to put me at ease knowing that nothing was missing and that I had everything I wanted for our wedding day. I had a budget that I wanted to stick to, and unlike some other florists that I reached out to for quotes, Karrie was very willing to work with me and make sure that she stayed within that budget while still making sure that the flowers were everything I wanted them to be. Also, I made a few changes the week of my wedding and Karrie was very flexible and accommodating. Beyond all of that, the flowers at my wedding were absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted. I wanted the design to be classic and elegant, but not boring, and they were exactly that. My guests kept telling me how beautiful everything looked and I was so happy with how it all came out. The day of, Karrie's team was right on time and got everything done very quickly. I didn't have to worry at all about the set up, which as the bride, was wonderful. Karrie is an extremely talented and professional florist and I can't recommend her more highly!

We worked with Karrie for our October wedding flowers. My now husband wanted to handle the flowers for the wedding. This caused a bit of a problem at first since he was overseas during the time we needed to begin working with the florist. With my recommendations in mind, he contacted several florists and between pictures of past work and ability/willingness to coordinate via email, phone, and FaceTime, Karrie was the easy choice! My husband had precise ideas about what he was looking for and Karrie was excellent at explaining what would be available during our timeframe. In the end, we both LOVED our flowers!! The only reason why I gave four out of five stars for service was that sometimes email responses times were lengthy and contracts etc could not be signed digitally like all of the other vendors. Additionally you can not pay her electronically, but must send a physical check. I highly recommend Karrie - her flowers are stunning and priced fairly! Finally, I did not doubt her throughout the process and I unfortunately can't say that about all of our vendors.

This is a hard review to write, and I left it for "last" because of that reason. This was the only vendor we booked the day of our wedding that left us wanting more... Having met Karrie in her studio in person for a nice chat, and having seen her photos online and reading stellar reviews, I was under the impression that I was in great hands and I had nothing to worry about. This ended up being only half true: SOME of the flowers (particularly the arrangements at the reception) were glorious. I also heard from several bridesmaids that their bouquets lasted almost a week, which is something special! However: The boutonnieres were haphazardly put together, and honestly, by the beginning/middle of the reception, most of the men's flowers had completely fallen off, leaving an embarrassing little leaf and a pin as the only proof there used to be something there. I gave her my bridal bouquet (that was made by another vendor, as it was made out of paper) and asked her to secure family heirlooms on the stems. She did so with one pin, and it dropped off, making a very scary and frantic search happen in the middle of our wedding day. We found them, and I secured them with several pins much better than she had to begin with... attention to detail was not really evident. Our Chuppah was supposed to be this glorious statement piece- we paid hundreds of dollars for it, and I thought it surely would be amazing. It was lovely. Just not worth the price... I wanted a "wow", and I got an, "oh that's nice" instead. The bridesmaids bouquets were very uneven: some were full, some fell a little flat... beyond that, I supplied ribbon for her to secure around the stems, and this was extremely poorly done. It honestly looked like I wrapped them myself, and I'm not a florist! That's why we hired one! We had hydrangeas to be placed in cones on each of the pews in the chapel, and they were placed very carelessly... some were drooping and clearly in need of water by the time I walked down the aisle. Finally, there were four corsages made for our aunts and mothers. Karrie had a lovely idea of attaching flowers to little rhinestone/pearl bracelets, therefore avoiding a "prom" look... three out of four of them completely fell apart by the end of the ceremony. This was startling, and again, embarrassing. These above reasons are why I was admittedly bummed with Karrie and her services. She was reasonably priced, but that doesn't mean that she shouldn't pay attention to detail and ensure that we were pleased with absolutely everything involved in our wedding.

Karrie did a gorgeous job with our flowers! I wanted something unique and she exceeded my expectations. The flowers were beautiful & reasonably priced. I could tell she understood my vision when we met and she definitely proved that she did. I especially loved my bouquet & it looks gorgeous in photos. I highly recommend her and was so pleased with her work!

I cant say enough good things about Karrie! When I was researching florist, she was the only one I reached out to who didn't just respond asking what I wanted. I love flowers, but I have never designed a centerpiece or bouquet before, and am not familiar with flower names, so I didn't really know what I wanted. Instead, she took the time to schedule a sit down call with me (I live out of state), and we went over pictures on my Pinterest board and discussed photos I had pinned. From that, she was able to send me a list of flowers that she would use in my centerpieces and bouquets. I was able to look them up and decided they were exactly what I wanted. With my budget in mind, we went through the list of options for the wedding (boutonnieres, flowers for the aisle, etc) and I was able to pick and choose what I wanted to fit my price point. I was able to customize my floral package to enable me to have what I wanted, for a price that I was comfortable with. Peonies are my favorite flower, but were out of season and expensive to have shipped in. We were able to incorporate them into my bridal bouquet, and have similar looking flowers in my bridesmaid bouquets, so I could have them in my wedding but not blow my budget out of the water. She was even flexible the day of the wedding to make adjustments to my bridal bouquet to make it what I had in mind. I would definitely recommend Karrie and her team to anyone looking for an outstanding florist for their wedding day!

My mom and I met with Karrie Hlista months before my wedding. Initially, we thought her quote was high, but that was before the $6500 quote we got from a florist down the street from her! Apparently, the centerpieces I wanted were very labor intensive. After voicing my concerns, Karrie worked with me to create an option that was within our budget. I want to stress that I only had my centerpieces and ceremony arrangements through Karrie Hlista designs. I'm sure any personal flowers would have been beautiful as well, but I wanted flowers that were out of season so I ended up going with silk bouquets. The centerpieces were manzanita branches in tall vases with crystal baubles and votive candles hanging from the branches. Orchid blooms were tied to the branches for a pop of color. They were absolutely stunning and created such a romantic, whimsical, soft glow-y feel to my reception. I was excited to see the hall, but was blown away by the centerpieces. Karrie and her team did such an amazing job with them. I can't express enough how happy I was with the centerpieces. My only semi-complaint is that the flower arrangements for the church were smaller than I thought they would be. It seemed like we spent a lot of money on them, and they weren't tiny by any means, but I thought they would be bigger. Perhaps that was a miscommunication on my part, though. Despite their size, they were stunning. Karrie called when she said she would, gave us a little extra time figuring out of guest list, and really made sure we understood our contract and everything we were getting. She was quick and professional with her responses (email, phone, etc.) I would definitely recommend Karrie Hlista Designs.

I cannot say enough good things about Karrie! She was professional, organized and incredibly easy to work with. She was respectful of my budget and kept it in mind as she reviewed floral design options with me. After our first meeting we had over the phone, I knew she understood my vision and what I wanted my wedding to look like. She exceeded my vision and I am so grateful I was able to work with her!

Our flowers were more than I ever expected. I was dreading going into the floral appointment. I don't know much about flowers, and I didn't really know where to begin. Kerrie made the process amazingly easy. As a result I was overly happy with our flowers. They were simple and elegant, which was exactly what I was looking for.

Karrie encompasses everything you want when dealing with a vender... She is polite and organized and above all super talented!!! The flowers for our wedding were so beautiful! Karrie did an absolutely amazing job! Ten days before the wedding we found out the ranunculus for the boutenieres and centerpieces we wanted didnt grow well so the supplier said he wasn't going to be able to send them. Instead of just having us change designs to more accessible flowers, Karrie took the time and called suppliers all around the world and found a supplier overseas who could send the flowers I wanted in time for the wedding. Everything was perfect from the bouquets and boutenieres to the centerpieces! Karrie was so wonderful to work with and I definitely recommend Karrie Hlista Designs to everyone!

Karrie did an amazing job with our wedding flowers! We got so many compliments on how beautiful the bouquets and the arrangements were. Karrie was very helpful and did a great job of making our vision a reality. I was worried that my color choices (eggplant and orange) would look too much like Halloween, but she was able to put together arrangements that were gorgeous with colors that complimented each other well. I LOVED how everything turned out that Karrie and her team designed. The flowers she chose were so beautiful, and the artistry and creativity were commented on by everyone. As a guest from Florida whose husband is president of a country club said, "everything was exquisite!" Karrie works very hard and cares very much about what she does, and she is exceptionally gifted Her work added so much beauty and the perfect touches to every aspect of the wedding.

Karrie Hlista was extremely professional throughout the whole process beginning with meeting to discuss ideas to the execution of her products. She was eager about working with us which added positiveness to the wedding planning process. She was willing and WANTED to take creative lead on the bouquets and decorations which is what we wanted from a florist. She was honest, responsible, and direct with the information and products. The final bouquets, flowers, centerpieces, etc. were absolutely beautiful and better than we imagined! I recommend to future brides/grooms to ask about a runner for the church as we were not aware that florists could supply this at the church. Also, to be sure what items (example: vases) are yours to keep and what items are not yours to keep.

Karrie was great to work with and made the planning process so easy and stress free. Our wedding flowers were better than I ever imagined. We got so many compliments from our guests. I highly recommend Karrie, she is super sweet and very creative!

I liked my flowers but wasn't "wowed" by center pieces.

Extremely disappointed!!!! I had made an appointment 1 month in advance because my fiance and I were coming in from out of town to plan our wedding. She didn't call to cancel nor did she even bother to show up to her store! We stood outside of her store for 30 mins waiting for her to show up and she never did and we had called multiple times with no answer! How do you expect to get business if you don't bother to show up or call! We drove 45 mins out of our way because we were told she was highly recommended. Needless to say we will not be wasting any more of our time with her! This was just a consultation but not the point!!!

I had high hopes for my flowers, centerpieces, and ceremony stage. I met with Karrie at her shop in Sewickley and I felt confident at that time I was in good hands. Unfortunately, things did not turn out exactly as I had hoped. First, we gave her our custom engraved unity candle vase as she was to put an underwater arrangement in it for our ceremony. When my mother arrived early to reception, she found that the florist forgot it and was NOT planning to go back for it. This was a significant part of our personalized ceremony and would later be the centerpiece of our sweetheart table. I find it very frustrating that this important piece was not there for my ceremony and that my mother had to call her on her cell phone to insist that she bring it as soon as she could. My flowers were beautiful, but the bridesmaids bouquets were not what I was expecting as they were mainly yellow stock with a few purple roses, which did not withstand the heat at all and wilted within minutes. Next, the centerpieces had a pink hue which was distinctly what I did NOT want as my color was a deep purple. I understand that flowers of an exact color are not always available and I discussed this with her indicating the flowers could be changed to get a closer color match. Next, as I looked at the centerpieces that night and later photos of them, I am not sure I received all vases that I paid for on each table. Lastly, she provided us the wrong corsages. Some problems as you can see and a little expensive for the service and flowers provided.

My flowers looked exactly how I envisioned them. They were perfect. I had so many compliments on how well everything went together. We had a couple of communication issues early on which worried me but we turned it around and in the end Karrie was brilliant. I cannot thank her enough for everything!!!
