Kate and her team went above and beyond for our wedding! They came recommended through our venue and a few other people. We were looking for a ‘local’ vendor for the food and decid...
ed to reach out to Kate Clydes. The tasting was intimate and the food was amazing. Afterwards Kate came out and sat down with us to discuss everything in regards to the food for the wedding! Not only food but the rentals as well. We did a buffet dinner that our guests raved about all night. Not only was the food fantastic but the team was excellent and so nice. Misty was in communication with me from the time we signed our contract to our big day. She was always quick with answering our questions and adjusting the invoicing as we added and took away items. On top of the food they provided our table settings, centerpieces, tablecloths, bartenders, napkins, and other things as well. The tables were perfect and it was helpful to do it all through them so that set up and clean up was a breeze. Everything looked perfect and the staff was beyond lovely. Our florist, Christopher, was also through Kate Clydes and he exceeded my expectation while staying in my budget! I recommend taking them up because they have excellent food but also offer a myriad of services that make your wedding run a thousand times more smoothly.
I am writing this to inform fellow brides what I wished I had known. Do not work with Kate Clyde’s.
At first it started great, Kate Clyde’s was good with communication and worke...
d with us with what we wanted. When I first started calling caterers to get quotes I was very clear I wanted a plated dinner and my venue did not have a full kitchen. Kate Clyde’s informed me that they had worked at my venue before and were able to provide a delicious dinner without a full kitchen.
We agreed to do a food tasting and were impressed by the food and staff so we paid the deposit that night.
Our experience plummeted from there.
Kate Clyde’s stopped communication after receiving the deposit. I tried to relax but after weeks of unanswered emails I sent an email if I should find another caterer. Misty the event manager told me all her emails were going to my junk email. That was a lie. I am very type A and check my junk email and received none. Anyways, I was reassured it would be fine and then was sent an invoice $14,000 dollars over what we initially agreed. I quickly called Misty to figure out what had happened and without her checking she basically told me that it was correct and I should pay it. I spent my entire afternoon going through the invoice and found that she tried to charge me $850 per napkin instead of .85 cents. You would think they would double check their invoices before they went out.
The food was so good at the tasting and at this point it was so late in the game that after I pointed out where she went wrong I paid the updated invoice. Then again months went on with no communication.
Fast forward to two weeks before the wedding. As any bride knows that’s when most payments are due. I tried to be on top of all payments so I sent in the numbers to food items and emailed a couple of questions. Again, no answer. I emailed a couple of times for no response. Three days before the wedding, I got multiple frantic calls from Misty asking questions that could have been answered months ago. It’s as if she knew nothing that we had discussed. I also asked multiple times about the staff that would be present at the wedding and she reassured me two bartenders would be there.
The wedding day…what an absolute disaster…I am completely mortified about what went on and what my guests were served. First of all, only one bartender was present the first half of the wedding- even though I was contracted for two. I was also promised two people to set up my tables who were “extremely detailed oriented” not the case at all. The place settings were all over the place and couples weren’t even seated together. The food was completely INEDIBLE. My sister had to demand the stopped serving one appetizer before guests got sick!! I could cry even thinking this happened. Multiple guests spit out their food and quoted or smelt “rancid.” My son, who eats anything, spit out the mac and cheese bites because they were cold and “gooey”. They tried to serve a shrimp appetizer that was fishy and inedible. A bridesmaid spit it out into a Lysol wipe. The dinner was just as bad. The first thing I said to my new husband was “is you food cold?” My beef tenderloin was cold! The brides food was inedible. The salmon was over cooked and dry. Not to mention I was told there would be ten servers for twelve tables. It took over forty minutes for food to get out. I could go on for days. It was awful. Worst experience. Brides beware.
One more thing, we later found out that vendors had gone out and gotten their own dinners because they’ve worked with Kate Clyde’s before and knew the food was awful
The food was great! everyone was talking about it non stop and people are still talking about and we our about a month out. I loved working with Kate and her team. When I started p...

We used Kate Clyde's as our wedding caterer on 3/26/22. They were very happy to work with us to help us stay within our budget. The tasting for the bride, groom, and mother of the ...
bride was relaxed, elegant, and delicious. The buffet was attractive and the food was as delicious for 150 as it had been when prepared for 3. The catering staff was attentive, helpful, and responsive to requests. I highly recommend Kate Clyde's.
Kathryn and team at Kate Clyde’s were an absolute dream to work with. They came suggested from the venue, which we were thankful for but once we met Kathryn we knew her catering co...
mpany was the perfect match for us. They were helpful when we were overwhelmed with numbers, food selections and dinnerware. They helped us curate a menu that matched perfectly and let me just say the food was DELICIOUS!! I had so many compliments from my guests on how delicious the food was, especially the bbq! They kept everything sanitary with Covid protocols so my guests were safe and went above and beyond helping set the tables and cleaning up. They even went through a few changing of event planners since the time we hired them and they never dropped the ball once. I think that speaks volumes of Kathryn and how she runs her business. She is also just a lovely human all around and I enjoyed talking to her every time we had a call! I highly suggest them - you will not be disappointed! They were hands down the easiest vendor I worked with throughout my wedding!
Kathryn’s team did a phenomenal job! From set up to clean up, I couldn’t be happier with the food & decorations!
People raved about our food! Great to work with and easy to reach! Delicious!!!
Katheryn at Kate Clydes was wonderful! We ended up using them for our wedding caterer and also decided to utilize their store front space for our rehearsal dinner of 40 people. The...
space is private and was perfect! All of our guests both nights could not stop raving about the food!! My personal favorite was the beef tenderloin with the red wine demi glaze...absolutely amazing and want the recipe!!
I will start off by saying that the food from Kate Clyde's was amazing and tasty and they were recommended by 2 of our other vendors. Our guests really enjoyed the food. We also ...
did our rehearsal dinner at their Camila Room and again, the food was amazing. Regardless of the amazingly tasty food, we did end up having some problems. We had a few issues, but my main concern was that we ordered vegetarian and gluten free meals for our guests for our rehearsal dinner night and wedding day and they were either not served, late, or did not get what was ordered for them, all which was confirmed in email. The upgrades we thought we had already agreed to (and had in email) were not added in until months later. When we emailed our concerns, we got a reply that in all honesty, seemed to be passing the buck. We did get a refund for the vegetarian, gluten free, and kid's meals though, so it was sort of acknowledged. The response to our concerns seemed to have a lot of excuses such as the notes weren't clear, the wedding planner did something, the van broke down, (but no one at the venue was informed...) and in the end probably upset me more. I think if we would have gotten an acknowledgement of "Yes, things got messed up and we are working on them", I would have been much happier than the excuses for everything. If you book with them, I would just make sure to keep any communications, ask for a break down of all food and/or rentals, and confirm any upgrades on your invoice (not just through email).
The food was absolutely amazing! Everything tasted exactly like it did at our tasting: no quality downgrade when they made it for a larger amount of people. Kathryn was so nice and...
her team always accommodated any request I had, usually with a very quick response. Their prices were also very affordable and on the cheap side, even with the amazing quality of food that we chose. They will work with your budget to get you what you want, for how much you want it. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer!
Great food, TONS of beautiful decor and they are awesome to work with. They have made every one of my visions happen!
As a guest one thing that you always remember from a wedding is the food - whether it was good or bad. This was one thing that I did not want to skim on. The food was beyond amazin...
g. We used the same caterer for both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. The caterer is so friendly and she helped us with the table settings. She has an entire store front of table decor and other furniture to rent. We has leftovers for days after the wedding and they were still great!
Working with Kate Clyde's left me with no worries about the quality of food for the reception or the appearance of the decorations. They took our ideas and elevated them, creating ...
