poses and cute things to do that she made it sort of effortless for us and we just got to have fun! For our wedding, she was able to corral our large and somewhat disorganized wedding party and turn it into the wonderful pictures we have today. She came up with first look ideas that we will cherish forever and even accommodated my husbands last minute addition of moving down to docks to take photos with boats. The reception photos and candids really came out great and what was nice is she blended into the crowd and didn't overwhelm the party with flashes or intrude into the event as some photographers do but she really captures the special moments wonderfully. utely perfect for a wedding in New England. We had a rainy day that day. It poured mostly in the morning and scattered sprinkles throughout the afternoon/evening. This did not stop us in any way! We had the most amazing indoor and outdoor photos, both in the tent and outside of our wedding venue at Willowdale in Topsfield. The shots that Kate and her 2nd hand photographer took were stunning. Better than I ever could have imagined. We got our sneak peek first thing the very next morning, and our entire album of photos SO FAST. Our wedding was October 7th and we received all photos mid november - just in time to show our families for the holidays. Honestly, the best thing about our wedding day beyond the photos was how helpful Kate was with coordinating the entire day. From keeping us on a timeline without stress, to pulling us out for a few cute rain/umbrella shots, to even helping my MOH and mom bustle my dress. She was a rockstar. Kate was a joy to spend time with throughout our wedding day and even for our post-engagement photo shoot that was bundled into our package. I could not recommend her enough. Thank you Kate for helping to make our big day so seamless. We literally had the time of our lives.

We really enjoyed doing our engagement photos with her. At the actual wedding, she was a very calm presence on a hectic day. a pleasure to work with. On the day of, she was on time, staged everything beautifully, and made everyone feel at ease. My husband and I did not provide a lot of guidance for photos/shots we wanted but Kate provided advice throughout the day. She encouraged us to sneak away from the reception to take rooftop sunset phots & these are some of our favorite shots. I was so impressed that she delivered a sneak peak by the next morning! isn't the ideal situation. Kate immediately made us feel comfortable and made sure that all of my questions and concerns were answered prior to the wedding day. Kate is the perfect combination of professional, laid-back, yet knows just how to get the job done. On our wedding day, the buses that were supposed to transport a large majority of our guests from the hotel did not show up. Kate immediately put me at ease and knew exactly how to improvise to make sure we still got the perfect sunset photos we wanted. Her second shooter, Vin, was so supportive and you can see they work together so well. I am so happy we had a second shooter to capture more photos for our 20 person bridal party. I would 100000% recommend Kate and Vin to capture your wedding day or any other special photos. Thank you Kate!!!!

nt more angles/ moments captured. Two shooters was also great for when we were getting ready; one photographer for the the groomsmen, one for the bridesmaids. She is always quick to respond, which made me less stressed leading up to the wedding. She stepped up to help me with my veil and even knew to spray bugspray on my dress when bugs were getting stuck in it. My husband mentioned that her other shooter was great to have around as they were getting ready, which is about as great of a review from a guy as you can get. (Am I right?) She captured everything we wanted and our photos are beautiful. Would 100% recommend her to anyone and everyone. She really does capture movement beautifully.

Although we couldn't shoot our engagement photo, Kate shot our Vietnamese Tea Ceremony which was scheduled the day before our Wedding Day. ade things so easy and enjoyable for us. As we all know, wedding planning is A LOT at times. My husband and I live in California but got married in Boston. Kate made the planning and coordination process a breeze. She had recommended an engagement shoot for us prior to the wedding as sort of a "dry run" so we would feel more comfortable on the wedding day. Unfortunately, with us being on the west coast, we couldn't make that happen. But it didn't matter! On the day of our wedding, Kate and Vin made us both feel super comfortable and relaxed. This was extremely important to both me and my husband since we had no clue what we were doing. :) On top of all of that, Kate is the ultimate hype woman. I was extremely nervous leading up to the first look and Kate was so great at getting me excited for everything to come. She was not afraid to take control of the different situations to get everyone where they needed to be for pictures. She also provided us with a sneak peek the very next day which was SO exciting for us! To sum it all up, I can say with the utmost confidence that Kate Donovan Photography made our day so special. And with the beautiful pictures, she and Vin captured that day, we will be able to cherish our special day forever. te was at the top of the list. She is hardworking, friendly, and kind- just the type of person you want to be around on your big day (or any other day too, of course). We got married at 4pm in December so it was certainly dark in our venue. She came prepared and knew how to work with the light we had in the afternoon (we did some family photos beforehand), and then quickly pivoted when the sun set and needed artificial light. We were adamant about not having a first look and she was incredibly supportive of that choice, while others discouraged that because of the lighting. She kept us on track and made sure we got all of the photos we wanted, which I deeply appreciated. I know the lightning is always a challenge, but she has such a great go-get'em type of attitude that I never doubted her ability to shoot beautiful photos in the dark December night. Her second shooter, Eric, was also lovely. He was kind and easy to talk to, though he spent more time with the groomsmen. My husband and his friends all agreed that Eric was fun to be around, got the job done, and made them feel at ease. Kate and Eric seemed to work really well together and I had no doubts that the two of them were doing everything they could to capture our wedding. Kate sent us a small album of photos the morning after which was amazing! We were able to share some beautiful images with our family at our brunch the next day and share photos on social media for friends/family to enjoy. Kate is an actual rockstar and absolute professional. If you want beautiful photos of your wedding while also being around someone who is truly awesome and gets the job done, then Kate and her team is the way to go! You won't be disappointed!

was engaged and thoughtful on the day with a plan but also leaned into the spontaneity of special moments or on the spot requests. Aside from the beautiful photos I trusted Kate immediately because of her presence and confidence and it really allowed me to ground myself in the specialness of the day taking away any of my worry of “capturing it perfectly” or having to direct. When I was in a pinch for some vendors Kate connected me with people she had worked with in the past and along the way, anyone that had worked with her previously had nothing but glowing things to say about her. She’s is great at what she does, we feel lucky to have had her, and could not recommend her more highly!

I wasn’t sure how it would go with a toddler that doesn’t stop moving, but somehow Katie worked her magic and captured our family in such a beautiful way. Katie was so patient with our toddler and our puppy. We have the most beautiful family pictures to hang in our home now. Kate handled it with ease and kept the mood lifted and the day moving! Professional, on time, and kind. Her second shooter Tori was fun, talented and they worked very well together! She found the perfect balance of not wasting time but not feeling like you were being rushed on your special day. The NEXT morning (I don’t know how she did it) - I literally woke up to about 10-15 teaser photos! This was so nice and unexpected, I got to immediately post a picture and send to family. e well informed every step of the way. Her friendly and professional attitude made us feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. Kate and Tori showed up at our venue slightly early to make sure that they were in the right places at the right time. While most photograph sessions can seem forced and awkward, Kate brought levity to the situation and made it easy for everyone to enjoy themselves during the whole day. We were able to relax and be ourselves when we needed to, and when we had to be somewhere at a certain time she was on top of it. We received a sneak peek of some of our photos thr next day and they were incredible. She has a knack for timing and taking advantage of backgrounds and environments that you can't have guaranteed throughout the entire day. She called an audible at one point during sunset and captured the most amazing pictures of my wife and I at the beach. Very grateful for those! I would highly recommend Kate and her team to anyone in need of professional photographs, wedding or otherwise.
