Went through Kate Donovan Photography and connected with Brady Miller in her team. We had an intimate backyard wedding and the pictures are everything! We are in LOVE and so happy with how everything came out. Bradley was so awesome and capture every detail. He was great to work with and great company. Thank you so much!!

I'm late to leave a review as our wedding was in 2023, but I really cannot say enough about how amazing our experience was with Kate. She is so professional, talented, easy to work with, and just a very kind person. She made a point to meet with us months beforehand to share photo ideas and get a feel for our vibe, which she totally nailed on the day of our wedding. In addition to all of the perfect traditional shots, Kate's artistic eye was amazing and we ended up with some incredible abstract and moody cinematic looking photos that we will treasure forever. Besides being wonderful to work with before and during the wedding, she was very communicative afterwards and we received all of our edits in a super reasonable time frame. A++++ across the board. We hope we have a reason to work with her again!

Kate was wonderful to work with! From our engagement session to all the photos at our wedding, we were so happy with how everything turned out! As self-proclaimed awkward people, Kate made us feel so at ease during our initial engagement session. We were grateful to follow her lead and trust her vision. Our engagement photos were not only amazing, but Kate got a sneak peek to us the day after our session! Her turnaround time is insane. For our wedding, her and her second shooter Vin, helped walk us through our first look and family portraits. Aside from the few staged shots, Kate and Vin organically captured our day as it unfolded. Kate even gave me some tips for using the bathroom in my huge dress which was so so helpful! As with our engagement shoot, Kate got us a huge sneak peek the day after our wedding and the rest of our photos shortly after. My husband and I had so much fun going through the album and are still having a difficult time choosing favorites—there are so many incredible photos! Kate is definitely someone I’d use again to capture future life moments.

kate review📸 Let me start by saying if I could give Kate 100 stars I would. She completely encompassed my vision for our wedding day with her romantic, muted vibe which was absolutely perfect for a wedding in New England. We had a rainy day that day. It poured mostly in the morning and scattered sprinkles throughout the afternoon/evening. This did not stop us in any way! We had the most amazing indoor and outdoor photos, both in the tent and outside of our wedding venue at Willowdale in Topsfield. The shots that Kate and her 2nd hand photographer took were stunning. Better than I ever could have imagined. We got our sneak peek first thing the very next morning, and our entire album of photos SO FAST. Our wedding was October 7th and we received all photos mid november - just in time to show our families for the holidays. Honestly, the best thing about our wedding day beyond the photos was how helpful Kate was with coordinating the entire day. From keeping us on a timeline without stress, to pulling us out for a few cute rain/umbrella shots, to even helping my MOH and mom bustle my dress. She was a rockstar. Kate was a joy to spend time with throughout our wedding day and even for our post-engagement photo shoot that was bundled into our package. I could not recommend her enough. Thank you Kate for helping to make our big day so seamless. We literally had the time of our lives.

Kate and Vin were wonderful and we are so glad we had them capture our wedding day. From the start, her communication was great – she was thorough in explaining the different packages and what to expect. Kate’s support the day of was incredible – she was always calm and collected. It ended up POURING on our wedding day, and Kate’s creativity with capturing photos, even in the rain, was so appreciated. The rainy shots are some of our favorites, and so many of our guests were amazed at some of the shots her and Vin were getting. And her turnaround time (she got us a sneak peak of our photos literally the morning after our wedding!) was so amazing. I would recommend her to anyone getting married, or for any sort of family photos. 6 months later I still find myself looking at our wedding album at least once a week. They are beautiful!

Kate Donovan was amazing! She was our photographer for our wedding on 11/24/23 at The Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, MA.. Working with her was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. She is exceptionally talented and professional. We absolutely loved Kate and would recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer, or photographer for any other life event. The photos she took at our wedding were stunning. She was fantastic with the lead up to wedding day, asking us what we wanted to make sure was captured, and walking through all of our options with us (length of time she was there, 1 v 2 shooters, etc.). We really enjoyed doing our engagement photos with her. At the actual wedding, she was a very calm presence on a hectic day. She made sure we were where we needed to be for specific shots and ensured that she captured everything we asked for. We just received the final photos and they were fantastic!

We are so happy that we had Kate capture our wedding day! We personally did not meet Kate prior to our wedding but she came highly recommended by our wedding planner. She was such a pleasure to work with. On the day of, she was on time, staged everything beautifully, and made everyone feel at ease. I could not be happier that we picked Kate to capture our wedding day. My now husband and I met Kate only 4 days before our wedding, due to us living out of state, which of course isn't the ideal situation. Kate immediately made us feel comfortable and made sure that all of my questions and concerns were answered prior to the wedding day. Kate is the perfect combination of professional, laid-back, yet knows just how to get the job done. On our wedding day, the buses that were supposed to transport a large majority of our guests from the hotel did not show up. Kate immediately put me at ease and knew exactly how to improvise to make sure we still got the perfect sunset photos we wanted. AMAZING! Kate was fantastic! Photography was something my (now husband) and I wanted to prioritize for our wedding. We opted to have two shooters, which I would recommend if you want more angles/ moments captured. Two shooters was also great for when we were getting ready; one photographer for the the groomsmen, one for the bridesmaids. She is always quick to respond, which made me less stressed leading up to the wedding. She stepped up to help me with my veil and even knew to spray bugspray on my dress when bugs were getting stuck in it. My husband mentioned that her other shooter was great to have around as they were getting ready, which is about as great of a review from a guy as you can get. (Am I right?) She captured everything we wanted and our photos are beautiful. Would 100% recommend her to anyone and everyone. She really does capture movement beautifully.

Hiring Kate as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made. We planned our wedding from another state so we had reservations on how everything would play out on the day of. I was relieved and the utmost confident that we were in great hands when we met Kate. Kate was professional, personable and available to support us throughout the planning process. Although we couldn't shoot our engagement photo, Kate shot our Vietnamese Tea Ceremony which was scheduled the day before our Wedding Day. Booking Kate as our photographer was the absolute best decision we made in our wedding planning. Documenting our day was one of my top priorities and after meeting her our engagement session with Kate I felt so at ease. We had a long engagement (4+ years due to COVID) and I still get compliments about our engagement photos all these years later. During that period, Kate kept communication and I never had a doubt that she’d be there for us on our day. (The cookies she sent when we had to postpone our wedding was a small treat that just shows how Kate cares about her couples). I truly don't think there are enough words to describe just how amazing Kate and her team are. From the moment we had an introductory call with her to the day of our wedding, she made things so easy and enjoyable for us. As we all know, wedding planning is A LOT at times. My husband and I live in California but got married in Boston. Kate made the planning and coordination process a breeze. She had recommended an engagement shoot for us prior to the wedding as sort of a "dry run" so we would feel more comfortable on the wedding day. Unfortunately, with us being on the west coast, we couldn't make that happen. But it didn't matter! On the day of our wedding, Kate and Vin made us both feel super comfortable and relaxed. This was extremely important to both me and my husband since we had no clue what we were doing. :) On top of all of that, Kate is the ultimate hype woman. I was extremely nervous leading up to the first look and Kate was so great at getting me excited for everything to come. She was not afraid to take control of the different situations to get everyone where they needed to be for pictures. She also provided us with a sneak peek the very next day which was SO exciting for us! To sum it all up, I can say with the utmost confidence that Kate Donovan Photography made our day so special. Kate was amazing. She reached out to me prior to the wedding to discuss style and important shots. On the day of the wedding, she was so easy to work with and many of the guests commented on how nice she was! She was able to get all of the shots we wanted. The day after the wedding she sent me a sneak preview of the photos, and I was blown away! Her pics were so beautiful and she captured so many moments that I did not even see. I will be using her for any/all future photography needs.

Kate was really amazing at our wedding. Both myself (bride) and my hubby were really really nervous on the day of our wedding and were having a challenging day, and then Kate arrived and added a really solid and calming presence and really helped us loosen up a little. She captured some really special small moments and she was really nice and friendly with all of our family and friends. The pictures she got for us speak for themselves, but we really felt like her personality and kind nature were immeasurable and sent her above and beyond in our book. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! We will definitely be using her again for more milestone pictures!

I love Kate for so many reasons, but having her be a part of our wedding day is certainly up there. I met Kate through a mutual friend and when I began looking for photographers Kate was at the top of the list. She is hardworking, friendly, and kind- just the type of person you want to be around on your big day (or any other day too, of course). We got married at 4pm in December so it was certainly dark in our venue. She came prepared and knew how to work with the light we had in the afternoon (we did some family photos beforehand), and then quickly pivoted when the sun set and needed artificial light. We were adamant about not having a first look and she was incredibly supportive of that choice, while others discouraged that because of the lighting. She kept us on track and made sure we got all of the photos we wanted, which I deeply appreciated. I know the lightning is always a challenge, but she has such a great go-get'em type of attitude that I never doubted her ability to shoot beautiful photos in the dark December night. Her second shooter, Eric, was also lovely. He was kind and easy to talk to, though he spent more time with the groomsmen. My husband and his friends all agreed that Eric was fun to be around, got the job done, and made them feel at ease. Kate and Eric seemed to work really well together and I had no doubts that the two of them were doing everything they could to capture our wedding. Kate sent us a small album of photos the morning after which was amazing! We were able to share some beautiful images with our family at our brunch the next day and share photos on social media for friends/family to enjoy. Kate is an actual rockstar and absolute professional. If you want beautiful photos of your wedding while also being around someone who is truly awesome and gets the job done, then Kate and her team is the way to go! You won't be disappointed!

We had Kate shoot our wedding and she was professional, organized, decisive and fun. We didn’t really know where to start in the process and she gave us guidance ahead of the day, was engaged and thoughtful on the day with a plan but also leaned into the spontaneity of special moments or on the spot requests. Aside from the beautiful photos I trusted Kate immediately because of her presence and confidence and it really allowed me to ground myself in the specialness of the day taking away any of my worry of “capturing it perfectly” or having to direct. When I was in a pinch for some vendors Kate connected me with people she had worked with in the past and along the way, anyone that had worked with her previously had nothing but glowing things to say about her. She’s is great at what she does, we feel lucky to have had her, and could not recommend her more highly!

After seeing Katie’s incredible work shooting our friend’s wedding , we just HAD to have her take our family pictures. It was so special to have Katie capture our family when we were pregnant with our son, and then again when he was a young toddler. I wasn’t sure how it would go with a toddler that doesn’t stop moving, but somehow Katie worked her magic and captured our family in such a beautiful way. Katie was so patient with our toddler and our puppy. We have the most beautiful family pictures to hang in our home now. She manages to catch the most emotional, the best candids, the funniest, great family & bridal party photos, and the real love moments. She is the consummate professional. We hired Kate and her team for our wedding earlier this month. Long before that she was in communication with us to ensure that had all of the necessary information and that we were well informed every step of the way. Her friendly and professional attitude made us feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. Kate and Tori showed up at our venue slightly early to make sure that they were in the right places at the right time. While most photograph sessions can seem forced and awkward, Kate brought levity to the situation and made it easy for everyone to enjoy themselves during the whole day. We were able to relax and be ourselves when we needed to, and when we had to be somewhere at a certain time she was on top of it. We received a sneak peek of some of our photos thr next day and they were incredible. She has a knack for timing and taking advantage of backgrounds and environments that you can't have guaranteed throughout the entire day. She called an audible at one point during sunset and captured the most amazing pictures of my wife and I at the beach. Very grateful for those! Kate is absolutely wonderful to work with! Before even deciding to work with her, she invited us to meet her. She insists on getting to know who she's working with to make sure everyone is a perfect fit. She continuously made us feel comfortable whether we were taking couple pictures, group pictures, or at the alter. She's quick on her feet and when you can't find your crazy Uncle Tom for the family photo her ability to be flexible with another shot and quickly organize your family is what every bride needs. I found Kate through a friend who is in the business. I went straight to her Instagram and knew she was the photographer for me! I loved how her pictures are effortless, romantic, and candid. Kate was amazing!!!! She did everything I needed/asked for. My biggest concern was getting everything done in a timely manner.She did so good I got all my formals done very quickly. Kate and Vincent were an absolute dream team! They captured everything possible and made us feel so comfortable. My husband and I used their services for our wedding this past fall, and I do not have enough great things to say. From the minute they arrived on site, they were easy going, kind, fun to be around, and made you feel at ease. The photographs we received brought tears to my eyes, they were so beautiful. They captured every single moment so we were able to relive our special day, as well as see some incredible guest shots and moments we might have missed. I can not recommend Kate enough, she was able to capture every emotion, from elegance to fun, with such grace and style. Your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life, and it's important to have the best photographs for memory, and we could not imagine having gone with anyone else to do this for us. She clearly cares a great deal about what she does, and it shows in her work.

Kate has such an artistic eye. She looked at my Pinterest page and could see what I liked. Our plans were to get married outside at the summit of a mountain and then it rained and I had never thought of a plan B for pictures. Kate was able to think on her feet and take some amazing photos with the rain. Our engagement photos were done while it was snowing which came out incredible! We wanted to do it in the snow and that meant we had to look at the forecast and plan when it was going to snow. Kate was super flexible and the photos came out great! I highly recommend her as a photographer.

Katie was awesome. Not only was Katie a superb photographer she was also a fun, easy, professional person that added to our day. It felt like we had hired a old friend to take our wedding pictures. One of my favorite things about Kate is her passion for her craft. Her mind is constantly coming up with new and creative ideas. There are times when we thought we would be done with a shoot, and you can see the wheels in her head spinning because she became inspired again, and then she starts shooting and the results are incredible. Late review here! We had Kate Donovan Photography for our wedding last September. We had an amazing experience with Kate and her team. She was on time, professional, and did an awesome job capturing all of the special moments from our day. We recently looked through our wedding photos again and it was so worth it to invest in a high quality photographer. These pictures will bring us back to that day, over and over again. A note on professionalism: The second shooter that was planned for our wedding was sick on the day of our wedding. Kate let me know promptly and brought an alternate second shooter, who was also on time, professional, and awesome. There were no excuses and no drama about a second shooter, it was all handled professionally. Brides can appreciate that sort of professionalism when dealing with unforeseen circumstances. I was married at Boston City Hall in 90+ degree weather, all humidity, 6 months pregnant with a 15 month old and a 9 year old. Kate was amazing! We were just so flustered and hot dealing with the kids trying to get them to cooperate and she just went with the flow. If the kids started twirling and dancing she just took advantage of it and didn’t try to force them to pose/smile etc. She was very patient, easy going and creative. Highly recommended!
