There were countless things that I knew Kate had a handle on, and I am kind of a control freak! Now as far as the photography and photos themselves - you will feel so emotional and happy that these moments were captured and edited by someone who truly get the best version of you, your partner, and everyone you love. These are the photos I get to look back on for the rest of my life, and I am just so lucky that Kates timeless, natural, and candid touch is beyond perfection. (Side note: We booked narrow road film house (Joel Edwards) to be our videographers, and they worked so well together. It was so nice having a team that was familiar with one another, and just complimented each others flow so well. Kate and Joel have such a great work flow it was just so much fun.)

She caught the fun in the reception, the emotion in the first part of the day, and the beauty all around. For the talent that she has, her pricing is incredulously reasonable, I was so shocked at everything she included for the price (helloooo… engagement photos, wedding photos, and an album?!) Kate had to navigate my insane family, my huge wedding party, and some other unprofessional vendors on the wedding day and did NOT bat an eye. She rolls with the punches, sets everyone at ease, kindly commands what she needs, and is the best person you’ll work with for your wedding. You want romantic? She’s a master. s. What we didn’t know was how much fun we’d have throughout the almost 2 years of being engaged and getting to work with her multiple times even before the wedding weekend. She did our engagement photos and even some mini sessions when we came back to visit our venue. Every single interaction was filled with pure joy and her work continues to blow us away. On wedding day, Kate took control in the best way and was able to confidently coach us and our bridal party on the best poses and formations with the most perfect backdrops. This allowed us and all the wedding party to relax and have fun with it. It made for natural and fun interactions to be caught on camera for us to cherish forever. When we needed to focus and get through the traditional family photos, she was in charge and making sure the process was as efficient as possible. We appreciated that because it allowed us to have more time enjoying our actual wedding! All that to say, the amazing quality of her final photographs are enough to be convinced to work with her! Fortunately things worked out and she was available for our wedding! She also did our engagement pictures. From when we got to meet her in person for our engagement session, we knew we made the right choice. TTER BECAUSE KATE WAS AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER NO MATTER WHAT! We searched for a photographer for weeks before finding Kate and falling in love with her work and style of photography. Once we had our engagement photos, we knew she was the perfect fit for us simply because of her fun personality and making our photo shoot super fun and comfortable! The pictures were stunning! Leading up to the wedding, Kate was stellar with communication, especially with all the wedding postponements. There were ZERO issues when it came to rescheduling her for our day. There was no way we were going to pick a new wedding day without having Kate as one of our HIGHEST priority. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without Kate. photographer. Pretty much we were scrambling to find a new photographer, as the wedding season was picking up again. I found Kate Garcia Weddings by pure chance/luck on Instagram. Unfortunately Kate was not able to shoot our big day but she what she did do was recommend her associate photographer package where we got to work with Marlyn. Who happened to be the perfect choice, I know you’re technically supposed to have your original photographer for the engagement session and wedding but in our case it wasn’t an option. Marlyn fit right in with our wedding party. She did an excellent job and our photos came out so beautiful. We are also huge scrabble fans, and I was hesitant at first to share that I wanted to incorporate the game into the pictures, but Kate ran with it!! She was so fun during our session. 020 in Joshua Tree. We met Kate for the first time that day and we were instantly so comfortable around her and her lively personality. The photos that she took of us reflect our natural emotions because of the type of experience that she provides. Kate went out of her way for our engagement photos. Although she had captured amazing photos already, she wasn’t satisfied and even offered to come back to Joshua Tree two days later to take more photos, bright and early during the sunrise! This just proved to us further her dedication and passion for her work and her couples! Next up is our wedding in June 2021 and I absolutely cannot wait to see Kate back in action and her beautiful work of our wedding day!!!

Immediately her website gives you a sense of the fun, bubbly personality she radiates and then the photos/her portfolio are so beautiful and showcase her amazing talent that we were hooked from the start. She even helped us narrow down where to get ready by providing her photography eye on which options would look best for bride versus groom. We felt super confident going into our wedding day knowing that she would be there to capture it. When the day came, she arrived on time and promptly got to work. She grabbed our rings, vows, accessories and started shooting detail shots while we were still getting ready. Throughout the day, she was the ultimate superstar. She provided the perfect amount of direction while making everything feel so organic, candid and still got those essential shots that you need too like cake-cutting, first dance, etc. She also made sure we got to stop by our favorite local coffeeshop to get some photos there and she even climbed up in the bushes to get the right shot. A true testament to her commitment! Our wedding party, family, friends and wedding coordinator all kept telling us during our big day how amazing she was, so before we saw any photos, we continued to be reassured in our photographer choice. Lastly, she joined us on the dance floor, and we snapped some pics with each other there. Seriously, she’s so much fun. As the night started to slow down, she even sent us a few edits of photos from the day so we could have them as a teaser of what was to come. They were stunning and continued our excitement with having her as our photographer. When we got our gallery at our one-month anniversary, we were blown away. We could not believe how many amazing photos we got. We received over 1,200 images and each one was UNREAL. There was such a wide variety of options and choosing which ones to print and share was and still is near impossible. We love them all! If you’re curious about how much time to book, we booked her for 10 hours and this was the perfect amount for us. It allowed us to get tons of getting ready photos, first looks, family photos, wedding party, etc., all before our event which was from 5-10 pm. She was able to get creative, we weren’t rushed at all, and we got so many different looks/textures/locations to work with. All and all, we cannot recommend Kate enough. My fiancée and I had such a difficult time choosing amongst the great pictures she took as ones to feature on our Save the Date postcards, wedding and registry websites. On the day of our wedding, Katelyn got to work very early on documenting subtle moments that just whisk by as you’re rushing to get dressed, and making sure you’re not forgetting anything. Being the inspired artist that she is, Katelyn pulled my wife and I aside after the ceremony, and shot an intimate session. She did so again at sunset. It was magical. I can write a novel about how much we loved Katelyn’s work, professionalism, and fast turnaround in getting the edited pictures to us. But even then, it still wouldn’t do her work justice. My wife and my only regret is not having enough walls on which to hang more of Katelyn’s amazing pictures of our special day.
