I thought it must be amazing to have not only an emotional photo of your wedding but also a truly artful one, with personality and romantic style. The film she shot for our engagement session was evocative and beautiful, and after seeing that we were completely relaxed for our wedding day. The engagement session was just 1 hour but it instilled confidence that she knew exactly what she was doing, and she made the absolute most of that 1 hour. Her personality is extremely warm and out-going. With all the craziness of your wedding day, it was nice to be able to completely trust her and Andy to direct the day. I was in a complete daze from the morning up until our vows were completed (that’s after 6 hours of photography). For me, having complete trust beforehand was not just calming but necessary. What I like so much about Kate is that she understands the gravity of how important your wedding is to you, and even though she has done so many weddings, each one is treated individually. Wedding photos become family heirlooms, part of your own family’s mythology, and Kate feels genuinely excited and honored to be a part of that. My family loved having Kate and Andy on our wedding day, and are still talking about how friendly and seamless they were on our special day. Although we have not seen the wedding photos yet, we are not worried. I wanted to put this review in as soon as I could so that any couples looking for a truly amazing photographer book Kate ASAP. You can tell just by meeting her that she loves her work and that she loves meeting and getting to know new people. We loved having Kate be a part of our big day. Additionally, Kate is a true artist, she sees beauty in areas that look just regular to the rest of us. Kate took both our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures. The engagement pictures were fun because we had time with just us and Kate. What I liked about Kate is that she gave us enough direction to look good in the photos, but not so much direction that we looked unnatural. The wedding is a different story, because its a big day full of lots of people! Kate is amazing because she very nicely and politely takes charge of situations and tells people where they need to go. Also--for any potential brides--on your wedding day, you spend most of your day with the wedding photographer, so its important to choose someone you want to spend a lot of time with, and obviously we loved spending our day with Kate. Also, for whatever it is worth, on the day of my wedding I had rain in my mostly-outdoors venue and Kate totally made it work until the sun came out. She took beautiful pictures inside and under shelter until the sun came out. You can't go wrong choosing Kate--she is an amazing artist and an amazing person on top of that!!

on the skies had completely cleared and the sun was out. Kate didn't let the weather or the unpredictability of it to phase her at all, in fact she used it to her advantage! She took the most artistic and beautiful photos throughout the day, and was able to adapt to all the different backdrops that we had. Looking back at the photos, it's almost like Kate was photographing on 2 different days! She gave us a wonderful gift in her wedding pictures. She captured so many of the smaller details, as well as the small moments. And we are extremely happy with our wedding pictures, we could not have asked for anyone better to be our photographer. hat meant that with my visa we only had 90 days to completely plan and execute a wedding (just like 90 day fiancé)! And through all of that, Kate was honestly like my little ray of sunshine. She made everything SO easy, and she was so sweet and committed to making our tricky situation work out! She even organized ‘Skype meetings’ and things like that when I was still in Australia. She truly made an effort to get to know my husband and I both really well on a personal and professional level, and that just made he whole day so much more fun! She knew how we were as a couple, and used that to get the most out of our wedding photos. I got to see the gallery of my wedding photos just the other day, and they were more perfect than i could have imagined. I spent several hours poring over them and crying and laughing like a weirdo! She truly captured the entire day so completely that we can now relive it over and over. She is so kind & dedicated, and has amazing attention to detail. She makes the entire process from start to finish so much fun, and so relaxed and easy! Kate is truly incredible in her craft and I would recommend her to anyone!

ause she doesn't disappoint. After I spoke with Kate over the phone for the first time I knew she would be perfect for our big day. She has a bubbly, energetic personality and is very organized. She does a complimentary engagement shoot to get to know you and your significant other better and work on posing together. It felt awkward at the beginning of our engagement session since we had never done formals, but Kate quickly made the dynamic feel like we were old friends and we became really comfortable with her. Kate wears many hats and is much more than a photographer. She figured out our timeline for the big day, answered questions about local vendors, helped pick outfits for the engagement shoot, worked with us on color scheme, designed our guest book.. the list goes on and on. She did a phenomenal job with our pictures on the wedding day and even learned everyone in the wedding party's names to help pictures go even faster! Everyone was super impressed by her and how the pictures went. As I said earlier, Kate is incredibly talented and we could not imagine our wedding day without her. We are going to cherish our photo books and pictures for the rest of our lives. If you are even considering another photographer, call Kate before you book and I bet you will change your mind.

Because lets be honest if her customer service skills were lacking, regardless of how well the pictures turn out, you wouldn't have any fun having them taken. And that's really the whole point right? to have fun? From a technical standpoint she is a mix between a directed and a candid photographer. She will tell direct you how to stand or position yourself, but all the facial expressions that she captures are candid true feelings/reactions. Which is exactly what we wanted. We wanted some help (because we have no idea how to be photogenic!)but we also didn't want to be bossed around and have fake smiles or expressions captured. Again, her outgoing personality is just so easy to get along with! She makes getting your pictures taken on a 100 degree July day (our wedding) a breeze, pun intended! And looking at the pictures you could tell if it was 100, or a cool 70 degrees. She is simply a Photography Magician! Not to mention she was willing to hang with us for 9 hours on that HOT (but extremely beautiful) day! Kate is just overall a wonderful person to be around and has become a great friend to my wife and I. we couldn't have asked for a better photographer. And yes, photographers are expensive, but the quality you get from them is well worth the money! One last hint to all of you planing a wedding, The one and only regret we have from our wedding is not getting a videographer. So if you are on the fence about getting one do it! At the end of the day, you will remember your experience through your photographs. There are a lot photographers who take nice pictures, but we wanted something more, we wanted an artist. And I’m happy to say we found that in Kate. We had our initial phone appointment and Kate immediately put me at ease. We set-up our engagement session which she had lots of great ideas for. Most of us probably wouldn’t put having our picture taken as something we enjoy doing. However, Kate was a master at making us both feel comfortable, suggesting poses that put us in the best light, and made us forget we were having our picture taken. We spoke several times leading up to the wedding because Kate wanted to make sure she knew what we wanted and that she had the timeline down. As we worked through the details, Kate was so on top of things. We even discussed contingencies for if it rained, which it did. Every detail was explored and covered. I told my spouse if we were ever unsure what was supposed to be happening during the evening, we could just ask Kate because she’d know where or when we were supposed to be.
