a comfortable, calm, and confident vibe to her that was exactly what we wanted during our engagement shoot and wedding. As for our engagement shoot, the day we had scheduled was calling for storms. Kate seamlessly suggested rescheduling in advance, so we did not have to deal with any anxiety about the weather, which was much appreciated! Leading up to the wedding we had a planning call, where we discuss what was important to us (minimal posed, lots of candids, and lots of partying!). On the wedding day, Kate tailored the day to exactly those things. She was very organized and efficient with getting us through the necessary formal pictures. And her second shooter was fantastic! What drew us to Kate's work was her ability to capture raw emotions in so many of her shots. That is 100% what we received from her work. I actually had someone comment on our wedding photos saying "you can almost hear the joy in these photos!". Overall, Kate is an awesome person and fantastic to work with. We are still receiving compliments from family and friends! I would absolutely recommend her.

She took a great mix of traditional shots with several priceless candids. Kate was great at getting photographs without it feeling too staged - I didn't even realize she was around for some of the photographs she took. She made me feel completely at ease with the posed shots (I prefer to be behind the camera than in front of it), and her composition and use of light and colors is beautiful. I am so thankful we had Kate to document our beautiful day!

tch. Stylistically she had a ton of range and was exactly what we were looking for. Leading up to the wedding, she was professional, responsive, and a big help. She really took our vision and ran with it. At the wedding, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staged photos beforehand all went smoothly and quickly. During the ceremony, she got every picture we could have asked for and more. And during the group photos after she made it through our extensively photo list quickly without feeling rushed. She has a great eye for location and picked some beautiful spots. During the reception, Kate and her assistant were seemingly everywhere without being noticed. She captured some amazing candids of just about everyone in attendance. We've been giving these pictures as gifts for well over a year now! Kate also has a really great eye for lighting. Visit her facebook or instagram and you can see what I mean. She took some absolute stunners of us on the patio of our venue just as the sun set and the outdoor lights came on. It's probably the best picture ever taken of me. After the wedding, she was very expedient in getting us our proofs back. We only waited a few weeks and, boom, there they were. It was like reliving that night all over again :) The proofs that we ordered were great and the book that we got from her will be cherished for the rest of our lives. We even splurged and got 2 giant photos framed for our wall. Her photography will be gracing our home for the foreseeable future. I would have rated her higher, but I can only give 5 stars. I would highly highly highly recommend Kate.

As a photographer, she does an excellent job at capturing more natural style pictures (in addition to the usual posed pictures) during the event. We hired her for an engagement shoot and as our wedding day photographer (she also had an assistant/second camera for the wedding that did a nice job as well) - we were very pleased with her work and timeliness in delivering the final pictures to us. My wedding photos were stunning. What impressed me was that the camera that Kate used had no flash which did not interfere with the video camara's light. Having never had a professional photographer before I was worried I would get annoyed by always being dragged away from the reception to take pictures. That couldn't have been farther from the truth. She managed to always grab the picture at just the right moment and I never felt for a second like I was being interrupted or missing the party. She took the time to learn who was who in my family in order to make sure she got all the important shots. Kate even handled a potentially awkward situation with a family member she knew I wasn't nuts about like a total pro and smoothed it over seamlessly.
