joy it. Every bride will tell you how quickly that day goes by, but pictures last forever. I wanted a photographer that would capture all the details I had dreamed up for so long. What I didn't expect was that I would find someone that would capture every emotion of my wedding day that could not be put into words. When I met with Kate, I quickly realized that she had both the creativity and the professionalism I had been looking for in a weddig day photographer. She began by asking about my "vision" for my wedding day and what parts were the most important to me. She didn't tell me what she "usually does"- she made sure that my priorities were heard. She was also incredibly organized. She asked me questions that I had never thought of and walked me through options of how to best photograph key elements of my wedding. Looking through her portfolio I saw an artistic eye that I don't see often. Today brides are overwhelmed with pictures on the Internet and seem to have certain "poses" in mind. But Kate let the mood and the setting dictate her creativity. It was very obvious that her shots were not preconceived and the same from wedding to wedding. She used just the right combination of "in the moment" and forethought to get the perfect picture. This allowed for the raw emotion of the day to come through. When I look back on my wedding pictures, my favorites are ones where I didn't even know Kate was there taking the picture. She read the feeling of the room and captured it so I can now look back and remember exactly how I felt in that moment. Her efficiency was so impressive on that day. I've been in many weddings and the family/bridal party photos alway seems to be unorganized and take forever. Kate had everything so organized that it flowed perfectly on that day. She had a detailed list set up beforehand of all the family members that I wanted pictures with and had the second shooter arranging each group while she went down the line and got the shots quickly and efficiently. We knew we didn't miss any loved ones and got to the party faster! We received tons of beautifully edited (but not over edited) photographs in a timely manner. She was always available before the wedding to chat about plans and was a step ahead of me on that day. It was so easy to trust that she would cover all the parts of my wedding that were important to me. We are forever thankful to Kate for the memories she preserved.
