tried her cupcakes, we knew that this was our cake and dessert vendor. I remember our tasting as my favorite day of wedding planning! Kate was helping set up her desserts while the ceremony was starting and we needed someone to open the doors for my dad and I to walk down the aisle. She stopped what she was doing, hyped me up, and opened the doors for us. She is such a beautiful human and a badass bakery owner! We stop in once in a while for a sweet treat. on a weirdly specific request I needed and made it an easy process. The cake was so tasty too! We also got a small macaroon tower which all the guests loved. The food is all so delicious and Kate is so lovely. Everyone should go check them out!!

e assignment. Everything looked incredible, tasted even better, and somehow struck that perfect balance of playful and elevated. Our guests were obsessed, people are still bringing up the cookies and bars weeks later. One guest even brought brownies home to Georgia and was still raving about them days later! One of the best parts of working with Kate was getting to do a tasting beforehand, such a fun (and delicious) perk. It made us even more excited for the big day, and helped us feel confident we were in the right hands. And the fact that she delivers and sets everything up? Incredible. It took so much pressure off, and everything looked stunning when we walked into the space. From the start, Kate was so warm, thoughtful, and easy to work with. She was open to our ideas, offered helpful suggestions, and handled every detail with so much care. It never once felt stressful, she made the whole process feel fun and seamless, even with our budget and timeline. We’re already looking for excuses to order from her again & planning another visit to her shop in Overland Park. If you’re looking for someone who’s creative, kind, and makes a variety of desserts people will actually remember, Kate is it. So grateful we got to work with her!

When our venue said certain desserts needed to be made in house, Kate easily updated our invoice for us and best of all, she even surprised me with the macarons from our original order on the day - personally packaged for us to take home and enjoy. She goes above and beyond in everything she does, and she has customers for life in us. Our guests are still talking about how good everything was!

EVERYTHING was delicious, Kate is a phenomenal baker and deserves all the recognition. We live in Washington DC, but wished we lived closer so we could go to the bakery more often! Kate is communicative, and her prices are reasonable.

We did a white almond cake with strawberry filling. We also did rose petal and chocolate macarons. The rose petal were absolutely delicious and the chocolate was phenomenal!!

guests raved about the cake and dessert options. Kate Smith was communicative, and went ABOVE AND BEYOND! The bride and groom were sad that during all the hubub of the wedding, they had their first bite but didn't take time to eat a whole piece and then the cake was gone. Kate Smith made time to make them a small cake for when they returned from their honeymoon. Defininety would choose Kate Smith again and I will use for events other than a wedding.

We definitely recommend her for couples who are looking to book her for their wedding!

When we found out our venue closed, Kate went above and beyond to make sure everything would still be perfect. Our guests loved the donuts served during coffee hour and we still have guests raving about the treats they had after brunch. We were sad we didn’t eat more ourselves which made us so grateful for the macarons made specifically for us to enjoy afterwards.
