Throughout the many months leading up until the wedding day, her proactive communication, professionalism, and sweet demeanor made working with her a total delight! She arrived on our wedding day full of smiles and energy. It rained on our wedding day, and I mentioned to her that I was worried about how the photos would turn out, but she assured me that rain is actually great for photos – the low light creates a soft, artistic quality to the photos and she was absolutely right! There are so many options out there and I can’t tell you how important it is that you choose your wedding vendors not just based on aesthetics and budget, you really want to surround yourself with people that genuinely kind, trustworthy and professional. Kate is not only an amazing photographer, she is a total gem of a person. We are so happy she was alongside us, capturing one of the most memorable days of our life. We are so happy with the wedding photos!

She is able to capture the most special moments without encroaching or overly directing, allowing things to flow naturally, but also giving a little suggestion when needed. She was incredibly thoughtful with planning and kept in easy touch throughout the process for many months before our big day. Our photos turned out so beautifully - both the planned family portraits and the candid shots she took throughout the day. We will continue to look back at these photos and remember the whole spectrum of feelings from our wedding that she captured so well. We hope we can work with her again someday!

en I initially spoke with Kate I knew she was our photographer. I was a little nervous at first since a lot of her shoots are more artistic (something I am not) and featured in blogs like Style Me Pretty. I had been a little concerned that our styles would clash, but I was so wrong. She was so great to work with and very responsive while planning. The day of our engagement shoot it was in the 40s and raining – not at all what we hoped for. We didn’t dress for the weather, and we were freezing, our noses were running and my hair was frizzing. She kept assuring me that I looked fantastic (which I know I didn’t) and she made the most of the shoot with cute rain and umbrella pictures which we used on our Save the Dates. A few weeks before our wedding she asked if she could bring along an assistant photographer, no charge to us. Of course we accepted and we got a lot more pictures. Kate and Jill photographed exactly what I wanted on our wedding day – she had a few details (the cake, dress etc) but more of what I wanted which were the guests at our wedding and candid shots. We ended up going over the 10 hours in our contract, and paid her to stay one more hour. She ended up accidentally overcharging us by $100 which we didn't know about, and after the wedding sent the money back to us. I highly recommend Kate as she wasn’t at all pushy on the wedding day, and she is so sweet and got along with the whole bridal party. Our photos turned out beautifully and we've gotten a lot of compliments on them.
