Katelyn James and her husband Michael are absolutely amazing. Katelyn shot our proposal, engagement session, and entire wedding day. Obviously their images are fabulous, but it is their professionalism and personal demeanor that really makes them stand out. Michael took my husband and his groomsmen to 7/11 on the morning of the wedding to get free slurpees! Katelyn kept everyone calm and really was a part of the day. They are truly wonderful photographers, and even more wonderful people.

Katelyn and her husband are a wonderful team. They not only take beautiful shots of your wedding day but they have such great personalities. From the moment my husband and I met Katelyn and Michael we felt like we were old friends. They also have a way of calming all of your nerves and making the photo shoots fun and easy. They truly are great and I would recommend them to any one looking for a photographer.

Absolutely, positively..AMAZING :) If price is what holds you back, just go ahead and prioritize. These amazing images will last me a LIFETIME and they are PRICELESS. I went into my wedding day knowing that from a photography stand point I had NOTHING to worry about - again another aspect of a wedding day that you can really put a price tag to. And, besides all that, this girl is awesome :)

Katelyn did an AMAZING job with our engagement and wedding pictures. So many family and friends commented how much they enjoyed the blog posts Katelyn wrote. She had our pictures and album turned around in days! Katelyn is very to easy to work with and made the whole process fun! Well worth the money.

I have been following Katelyn's work since she was in college and I knew before We were engaged that I wanted her to do our wedding.

She is absolutely amazing! I could not of invested our money a better way to capture our special day. Katelyn is so easy to work with and makes you feel comfortable, natural, and like a million bucks (and lets be serious who doesnt want to feel like that). I cried looking through the over 1000 pictures she edited and gave us of the day and how they took me back and helped me relive the memories.

Katelyn James is THE best photographer out there. I've had women tell me they cried over how sweet my engagement pictures were. Since the wedding, so many people have told me that they are the best wedding pictures they have EVER seen. Even men have told me how great she is! She is sweet and professional and ABSOLUTELY THE BEST at what she does. She became a dear friend, and I love her! You can't go wrong with her - in fact, you'd be doing yourself wrong if you didn't book her!

Let me break it down for you: I chose my wedding date around this girl. That's right, I called her, asked which date she had free in July, and picked that one. Why? Because Katelyn is JUST THAT GOOD. But there is more to Katelyn than just her skill with a camera. She has this way of being professional and friendly at the same time that leaves you relaxed... and as a bride, I know we can all use a bit of that. She carries herself with confidence and a smile, and will be respectful of your unique style. By the end of the day she'll be more than your wedding photographer. She'll be your friend.

Katelyn was my photographer for my wedding November, 2010. She is the best! We got our engagement pictures done with her before the wedding and knew she would be great to have around on our wedding day because she made us feel so comfortable and complimented us a lot - she is so fun to work with! Her photography is amazing. Her camera is so nice, so every image comes out looking great, but even more valuable than that is her eye for setting up great images. She works so hard at what she does and doesn't settle for anything mediocre. She loves what she does and will give you all you want and more. She is a bit pricey compared to the standard wedding photographer, but her skills far outweigh that of a regular photographer. She is always learning and improving, so I can promise that if you choose her your images will be even better than mine! If you care about the pictures from your wedding, shell out a portion of your budget and go for the best. Please choose her if you are in the Richmond area looking for a great vendor and potentially a great friend!
