I would end up looking too different and wouldn't recognize myself in photos. Katelyn completely understood my concerns. She was able to do my makeup in a way that enhanced how I naturally look and not cover it up. I felt so beautiful and confident and, most of all, comfortable in my look. I can't overstate that I didn't think about my makeup at all the whole wedding. It just started beautiful and stayed that way. Such a relief. My hair was equally beautiful and stayed put all night. Katelyn is so nice and upbeat. She's great at taking a reference picture, your feedback and translating your vision into reality that works for you. I cant recommend her enough!

I really debated whether or not to leave this review, but ultimately I felt that I put so much money and energy into our wedding day, that I wish I had known if there was issues with a vendor someone else had worked with. I think the main struggle I had with Katelyn was that I had A LOT of communication issues with her over the time we worked together. At times I felt that she was basically impossible to get a hold of and often had to try and contact her multiple times/ways. This included just trying to get the link so we could pay and trying to get details on whether the deposit was included or not. She ended up having the wrong date for my wedding day (the 19th of June instead of the 18th). Ultimately, it is somewhat understandable, as that had been our date in 2020 but it got postponed due to COVID. I am forever grateful that she did drop everything and ended up coming to make sure we all got our hair and make-up done - I have no idea what I would have done otherwise. But she was two hours late and I would be lying if I said it didn't have a serious impact on our day (I was still stressed will into the evening because we missed out on so many pictures we wanted). Additionally, it was very rushed and my bridesmaids felt that their make-up did not come out well/was very cakey. I do feel strongly that this could have been avoided if the communication had been better. I also never got an updated contract once we had to re-schedule, which I guess is partially my fault, but it felt somewhat unprofessional. I assumed that when I updated her of the new date, it would go right into the system/calendar. I obviously never thought something like this would happen. Why I ultimately decided to leave this review is because I never heard from Katelyn after she finished our hair and make-up. No formal apology, communication, reimbursement or anything. This really saddened me, as I know mistakes happen but to not hear anything after made it much worse. I presume some stressful things are going on in her life, so I wish her all the best and hope things are better for other who work with her in the future.

Everyone looked beautiful and seemed really happy and confident with their looks. The girls worked quickly and we were all glammed up and ready to go with plenty of time to spare. Katelyn really understood the style I was going for and was really helpful at my trial and even advised me what extensions to get to complete my look. I received a lot of compliments on the hair and makeup and even had a few future brides ask me for her information which I happily passed on! longer until our photographer arrived to get photos of us all getting ready. My girls absolutely LOVED their hair and makeup. BUT...communication is rough. It wasn't until three days before the wedding that we had everything sorted out, and if you're type A like me, that means stress is high. While the girls did a great job, I'm not sure I can happily recommend because the process leading up to the day was very stressful. I had signed a contract with Katelyn and gave her my credit card information to charge my $100 deposit but she never charged me, which made things very confusing 7 months later when I'm paying the final invoice and I have an extra $100 to pay when I already thought I paid my deposit. It meant that I had to go back 7 months earlier and check my bank statements to make sure she wasn't trying to double-dip. When I texted Katelyn to point out where the confusion was coming from, she never responded to me. The final invoice had to be corrected about three times because of confusions like this, including the fact that I (the bride) was listed twice on the invoice. Once as a bride, and also as a bridesmaid. It got so stressful that my mom stepped in and called Katelyn for me and when she spoke to her we found out I was one of TWENTY weddings that week. Instead of apologizing for communication, Katelyn just made excuses. As a small business owner myself, I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but as a bride I was left frustrated and extremely stressed-out.

Not only did she do a GORGEOUS job, she fit right in with the fun my bridesmaids and I were having while getting ready. She kept me calm and happy and even made me eat a snack before putting on my lipstick! :D My hair and makeup also survived a thrilling (and cold) water slide! I HIGHLY recommend them!

She was able to efficiently and beautifully style so many of us in just a few hours with only one other person helping her, it was amazing! I didn't think it could look any better the day of the wedding and boy was I wrong. Even my mom had her makeup done and two years later is still talking about it. My mom is extremely hard to impress so clearly Katie and her team rose above her expectations. I don't tend to recommend people frequently to my friends. And I have recommended Katie and her team for multiple friend's weddings. She is extremely professional, punctual, and a perfectionist. You will not be disappointed. I look at my wedding pictures to this day and think wow she must have a magic wand because she nailed my look perfectly!!!

I didnt like my trail hair after it was done and she changed it on the day and it came out great! She was pricey but paying the tip before hand was convenient so we didnt have to remember to do that on the day.

Prior to my ceremony, I became extremely anxious. Katelyn's words and calming presence were exactly what I needed. She was in tune with me and my energy and I felt knew what I needed at the right times. I'm still getting comments about how beautiful my hair and makeup were. I have never felt as beautiful as I did on the day of my wedding and that's because of Katelyn. I will forever be grateful for her and the person she is.
