Kate’s commitment to social justice and capturing queer couples is what drove us to say yes to her. We had so much fun working with Kate and her team. We immediately fell in love with the photos from our engagement shoot and don’t even get me started on our wedding day photos! I mean she even won an award for one of the best photos of 2024 through Junebug Weddings. She got to know us during a short engagement session, so by the day of the wedding we already felt like best friends. You can really tell she cares about creating a positive, loving environment for her clients. rocess. And I can't really express how much of a blessing that was because my fiancé and I immediately had both a wedding expert and amazing new friend on our side. In fact, Kate was the first vendor we booked. In the midst of all the choices we had to make and the angst of decision making, hiring Kate as our photographer was the one thing I was certain I had wanted. Kate way, way, way, exceeded expectations of a wedding photographer for us. Her photography packages were great deals. She met with us on multiple occasions before our wedding to get to know us. She is warm and funny and supportive. She goes above and beyond to get great photos of you. For example, when we couldn't finish our engagement photo shoot in one day, we were able to meet up again with her at no charge. She didn't rush us. She made us feel comfortable. And we got a ton of photos. Kate also surrounds herself with an amazing team. For example, we added her Photobooth services to our package. And for our Photobooth photos, I had a very specific vision in mind for how I wanted the Photobooth templates to be and how the printouts to come out. The things I asked for were things that her partners at OhReilly Productions were NOT yet doing. But they literally went out of their way to make my vision come true. Lol. And I couldn't be happier with the result. Furthermore, the second photographer Kate had along and her videographer were equally amazing. They really helped us get through our wedding day. They cheered us on and encouraged us on how great our wedding was and how we were getting awesome shots on photo and video. Having Kate's team on our side meant that we had this entourage with us all day and we loved having them around. Plus, at one point in the evening, we did an impromptu photography line where we posed with these performers we had at our wedding and Kate's team had to start snapping photos of us. It was not part of our wedding plans but Kate's team went for it and got our photos and they were so cool and chill about it. And did I mention that on our wedding day, it was POURING rain? We got married on 12/31/22, a day full of storms and winds that were taking down trees. That didn't deter Kate and her team though. Kate helped us find creative ways to get really great photos indoors for our wedding. But not only that, we got some really awesome shots in the rain. And again, there were no complaints from her team and they were really into it. After our reception, Kate also stayed with us late and went with us downtown to catch some New Year's Eve Post-Wedding photos. She helped make the magic last all the way through midnight. Whenever I look back on our wedding day, I am always going to think to myself, "Thank GOD Kate was there guiding us through it all." I think the most important thing for me was that our guests really loved Kate and they loved her team. All of my guests commented about how great Kate was and how friendly she was. Everyone loved her partners like those operating our Photobooth and our second photographer and our videographer. And Kate also really got along well with our day-of coordinator and our MC. And in many ways, I think it was Kate's personality and demeanor and also her professionalism that made that happen. Kate really is the best.

The photos are simply insanely gorgeous, I can’t get enough compliments on them. Kate is loyal, sweet and honestly, the best photographer I have ever had. If you are looking for someone who is super communicative, will work with you and be flexible and make you laugh along the way, Kate is your wonderwoman!

e is transparent. No secret fees or not showing up. She will tell you exactly what's happening and exactly what you're paying for. For me, I needed someone to guide me through recommendations. She could have made me buy the most expensive options for everything but did everything possible to keep my neurotic self knowledgeable. 2. She can shoot editorial style AND natural/candid. My mother and I had very different perspectives when it came to photography. Thankfully, Kate was able to comply to both styles. 3. She can make the most awkward human presentable. I am incredibly uncomfortable with photos. Double so if I'm dressed up and made up. Kate was patient and helped position my face/body/hair/arms so that it isn't protruding in awkward angles. Most importantly, Kate is one of the few folks in the wedding industry I know that makes the bride feel beautiful and empowered. It's easy to nitpick on your own photos. For myself, I was super subconscious that my arms were too muscular. Her telling me that it looked awesome helped ease the insecurity because she's right, why would I want to look like I have thin arms when I've put all this work to making them look buff? Wedding stereotypes and what we define as beauty can be hard to break but I know 40 years from now when I look back at my photos I can proudly claim that not only was I was beautiful but strong as well. ing on traveling out to CA for our baby shower. Honestly, I was equally as excited about the shower as I was about the fact that my time to work with Kate had finally come... maternity photos! From day one, Kate made our maternity shoot experience fun, comfortable, and SO exciting! She showed a genuine interest in ensuring that our vision for our shoot was met, and worked hand-in-hand with me to stylize every detail. Her presence is incredibly warm, confident, and compassionate (which is welcome when having to spend a little time in front of the camera!). Not to mention, Kate is ONE HELL OF A PHOTOGRAPHER! Her keen eye for perfect lighting is so impressive. In some of my favorite photos taken during our session, both my husband and I have a natural golden light beaming off of us in all of the right places; we look like fruitful, glowing GODS... honestly, what more could you want from a maternity photo? She was timely, communicative, and extremely professional. Her attention to detail was spectacular. She made us feel comfortable, and made the entire experience so much fun! d had an amazing phone call with her prior to us meeting. She described it as having the chance to talk to an old friend and her and Kate got along so well that I knew I'd have to take the practical approach to deciding who would be capturing our wedding memories. Since we're local, we decided we would meet with Kate for a drink after work to see how the chemistry would be with the person who we would probably see the most during our wedding. Picking out your photographer is really important, and we didn't take it lightly. The photographer needs to be able to blend in, yet stand out and get things done. Frankly, I think the photographer is more important than any other person to make sure everything is staying on track! You can guess the meeting with Kate went so well that we immediately booked her for our wedding. Well, fast forward to the wedding and Kate more than outdid herself. Her extra shooter and her arrived on time, made us all immediately feel comfortable, and took a ton of shots that we knew we would be admiring for a lifetime. We had a list of key shots that we knew we wanted during the wedding and Kate not only made those a priority, but got them done fast and efficiently so we could enjoy our whole day! Fast forward a couple weeks after the wedding and we received some sneak peak photos and to say we were excited would be an understatement. Oh My God, these photos were out of this world. Every single person we showed a few of these sneak peak photos to couldn't believe the beauty of the moment she had captured. We married in Squaw Valley so we had many different sceneries that needed to be captured from huge nature shots to village shots and each one of these were done beautifully. Then, without too much time to pass so our excitement is still high, we get the digital prints to our photos. Every single photo, and that is not an exaggeration, was perfect. All of the requirements we needed were more than fulfilled by Kate - she showed up on time, took the shots we needed, and provided the photos to us after the event. If that's all your looking for in a photographer you're missing the personal aspect of the photographer truly being part of the wedding/family. Your photographer needs to be able to get your nephews to laugh and look at the camera, your parents to actually pay attention and be where they need to be, put you and your bride (or groom) at ease, keep in constant contact with you after the event so you know what and when to expect...and if you and your photographer get along as well as we did...you invite her to dance with you and your closest friends and family because you know you found someone special. That is Kate. Kate, thanks for everything - you truly are a master at what you do and I am so glad my wife found you!

ature, and I wanted to have a photographer that would listen to me, respect me, and most of all, help me. This whole wedding thing can be so new and scary! But Kate made us feel at ease immediately. We used her for our engagement pictures, and hiking through slightly muddy and unknown terrain has never been so fun. After that, we knew we had to have her for our wedding. We kept in contact for the entire year between engagement photos and the wedding. She reached out to see if we needed any help, if we felt overwhelmed. if we just needed someone to vent to about how stressful a wedding could be--anything. She became as important to our wedding day as any other part. When the big day came, I was (of course) crazy nervous, but Kate helped distract me and keep me focused on what really mattered: getting married. Everything else was just periphery. When her crazy long ten hour day was over, we felt sad for her to leave! We wanted to keep her there just to party with us :) Our pictures turned out exquisite, because Kate puts just as much love into the end product as she did throughout the whole experience with us. We now have a new, incredibly talented, lifelong friend, and I'm just so happy that I happened to scroll past her photos on Instagram.
