Cannot rave about Kat enough! Even BEFORE I even met her, just through email, I loved her energy, and she didn't disappoint in making us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, laughing candidly, and truly enjoying the photo shoot the entire time. We did an engagement shoot in San Francisco, CA and she absolutely nailed it - I loved how natural, candid, and beautiful all our photos came out in the city. Hiring Katherine was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. I was a bad bride distracted by other things in life, and poorly executed the small details on my wedding day. But if you look at my pictures, you would think otherwise. I cannot describe how wonderful it was to work with Katherine. I initially had to postpone my wedding due to Covid and Katherine was incredibly accommodating, supportive, and more than helpful. Throughout the process she often went beyond her duties as a photographer almost functioning as another wedding planner. On our wedding day she was not just our photographer but felt as though she was a guest and friend that we had known for years. She captured every happy moment and a year later I still go through the extensive photo album. I was over the moon with how perfect our photos were, a mix of candids and portraits. We are wasting no time to write a review for Katherine after our wedding. Katherine is the best of the best -- she is the most amazing wedding photographer you can find and there was not a single moment since our first email exchange where we questioned our decision to go with Katherine. Since the moment we first spoke, Katherine was personable, kind and relatable-- we felt we could trust her with our vision and we felt confident collaborating with her to expand it. Our engagement photo shoot was a blast-- she found spots in NYC that we didn't even know existed and even though we thought being photographed would be awkward-- it turned out to be such a fun time because of Katherine's direction. Katherine knows so much about the wedding industry in and of itself, but she also is attune to the nuances of the wedding day-- checking in on how the bride was feeling, keeping herself composed and professional while creating a comfortable space for our friends and family to enjoy being photographed. Not even 12 hours after our wedding, Katherine sent us our AMAZING sneak peeks!! She captured our most special moments in such beautiful fashion. We and all of our family and friends were stunned at how beautiful the photos are. We didn't feel like we were even being photographed and it shows in how organic and natural each photo looks. I'm positive there were also difficult and frustrating moments throughout the day, but both Katherine and Siobhan had such positive attitudes which really trickled down unto us as the bride and groom. Katherine was hands-down one of the best decisions we made and we will forever be grateful for her incredible talent, effortless grace and expertise. Hiring Katherine as our photographer for our wedding at Vizcaya in Miami was the best decision we made. My mother is a professional photographer and vetoed probably 20 other photographers I shared with her, until I came across Katherine's work online, and we both agreed that her photos were super impressive. She blew us away both on the day of the wedding and with our actual wedding photos. On the day of the wedding, she was incredibly efficient, organized, kept us completely on track (and even ahead of time), and somehow seemed to capture every single important moment and emotion of the day. The photos she's delivered to us are SO good - we had a super tricky ceremony that took place around sunset, so it was half in the light and half in the dark, and she handled all of the complicated lighting like a real expert. I can't recommend her enough!

Katherine is the absolute best! I cannot rave enough about her incredible work. Katherine was an absolute dream to work with!! I knew from the beginning of our wedding planning I wanted to work with Katherine from seeing her previous work on her website and she did not disappoint! Her work is incredible, she captures every detail and looking back at photos it brings you back to that exact moment. Where to begin, Katherine is next level. From our very first call, through our covid postponement, to our wedding day and everything in between, Katherine is just an absolute professional from beginning to end. She spent so much time with us over zoom, real-life drinks, and gave us such a thorough, thoughtful questionnaire that was so fun to fill out together.Day of, Katherine takes charge, runs the show, takes the time to make sure she knows exactly what YOU want, and is breathtakingly talented. Nobody captures emotion like Kat and her work speaks for itself. Siobahn, our second shooter was also so amazing and so sweet. You truly spend the most time that day with your photographer, and Kat was such a big factor in how much we enjoyed our day.

Where to even begin! Investing in Katherine to do our wedding photos for our August 2021 wedding was the best decision we made, other than getting married! She had done a friends' wedding so I had started following her on instagram long before my husband and I got engaged. We were planning our wedding back west, and so we started looking at photographers back there but I just couldn't find anyone who measured up to Katherine. Listen--if you want "trendy" photos for instagram with lots of filters, orange skin tones, poses, etc--then Katherine isn't for you. But if you want photos that truly capture your day how it really was, then look no further. I spent years pouring over my parents' and grandparents' wedding albums wanting something that felt that classic and real. And real is exactly what Katherine does. She has this amazing ability to be everywhere and no where all at once. I have been in a lot of weddings, seen a lot of wedding albums, and I have never seen a photographer capture candids as well as she does--the photos feel like screenshots from a movie where we look happy and fabulous all of the time! She truly has a photojournalistic approach. She caught every teary hug, hand squeeze, and glance from across the room. And her ability to make every type of light work to her advantage (harsh mid-day, dark dance floor, etc) is truly incredible. And don't worry--she will also get all of those family photos that your parents want and do it in a painless, seamless way! While we were initially hesitant about the cost of hiring a photographer from NYC to shoot a wedding back west, her prices are MORE than fair for what you are getting! She even did a mini shoot with us the night before to get us comfortable in front of the camera and they are some of my favorite photos from the weekend. Also--she made everyone feel so relaxed and comfortable the day of. My bridesmaids were obsessed with her (I mean how could you not be? She shows up in a gucci suit with effortless cool girl energy and is like "let's do this!"), she managed wrangling our very large wedding party with ease and even got my grandma to smile in photos which is a big deal! We woke up the next day to about 15 sneak peak photos from the night before, and had our entire wedding album in 6 weeks! The hardest part is choosing which photos to print! There are just too many that we love. TLDR: Hire this girl, she is smart as a whip, reliable, talented, and a consummate professional!

We cannot say enough good things about Katherine and highly recommend her. She was a dream to work with, and her photos and aesthetic are incredible! From the moment we signed the contract, Katherine made it clear she was there to support us with anything we needed leading up to the big day, whether that was offering suggestions for other vendors, timelines, or wardrobe advice. We did a pre-wedding photo session and are so glad we did. We did it in Central Park and Katherine knew all the great spots to capture photos. She gave us cues to help make sure the photos turned out well, but she never made us feel awkward or overly posed. We highly recommend doing a pre-session because it makes you feel so much more comfortable on your actual wedding day. Also, all the photos turned out great and are fun to have. On our actual wedding day, Katherine was amazing. She plotted a path from where we were getting ready to the wedding site to ensure we got a good range of photos. We've only seen our preview (delivered less than 12 hours after our wedding!), but they are all amazing and provide such a great range to help us relive the day. Aside from being a fantastic photographer, Katherine was calm, nice to be around, and helped with anything that was needed to make the day a success. She also captured all of the family photos but did it in a fast and efficient way. We cannot wait to see the rest of our photos! We felt lucky to have Katherine capture our special day and highly recommend her to any couples-to-be.

We hired Katherine for a wedding and engagement shoot. Katherine was 45 minutes late to the engagement shoot. Talked about wanting to retire in 2022 and being not interested in her job. Approx. 50% of the pictures were not usable due to intense backlighting effect focused on our heads. Katherine then proceeded to cancel our wedding shoot a few months before our wedding. Extremely unprofessional, chose literally anyone else.

Do not hesitate and hire Katherine! She was absolutely incredible through our two COVID postponements, and our wedding photos are everything I dreamed they would be. I noticed that I had a bruise on my arm (from our dog getting a little too excited saying hello :)) that showed on the photos, and Katherine immediately agreed to touch up the photos, and did so very quickly. We have an amazing combination of candid photos and portraits that capture everything about the day. We can't recommend her enough! She and her team are truly the best, and they were the best decision I made for my wedding!

Katherine will blow you and your partner away. She is a super cool person, who will keep you and your partner calm, cool, and collected throughout the entire wedding planning process. Katherine's photos and curation she delivered brought us right back to our wedding. Really may have broken some records for transition from tears to laughs while looking through the beautifully designed gallery. There are so many details captured from the day that we will know get to cherish through your photos forever, and so many moments throughout the day where my husband and I were not able to be present that are now captured and can be cherished forever. Katherine and her team truly captured every moment with our guests, the groomsmen, and our family throughout all of the events happening simultaneously at our wedding. Our wedding took place on a massive 100+ acre property in the Catskills, and Katherine and her team made sure all things happening simultaneously on the property were captured. We've looked at the full gallery than I can count. We are trying to relive every moment and emotion, and the photos she captured truly evoke the full spectrum of our wedding weekend emotions. Also, have to share that the lighting Katherine captured was incredible. All of our friends commented on it multiple times during the weekend. We felt like rockstars during the weekend, and Katherine made us look like them despite being totally goofy humans who don’t know how to smile for photographs! Katherine made us feel comfortable and collected in front of the camera. She also helped us get some killer shots that we otherwise may have not gotten if she didn't grab us from the dancefloor. Katherine was super accommodating, as we had to reschedule our wedding twice due to COVID. She helped ease the stress of these reschedulings, and made us feel calm that no matter what our wedding day would look like, it would still be an incredible experience that we would cherish forever. Can't say enough good things about Katherine! Book her today!

A long overdue review for a seriously talented photographer. We had the privilege of working with Katherine for our November “minimony.” She was so easy to connect with and made us feel amazing, beginning to end – she exudes Cool, Calm, and Collected! You’ll see in her portfolio she has captured weddings of all sizes, but it’s obvious she brings the same energy, attention, and love to all. I could go on for hours about her skill, artistry, style, and creative eye, but I’ll just say this: she has IT. She captured the essence of our day and beautiful photos of us that 100% feel like us. We were lucky to work with Katherine for our wedding this past February 2020! From our initial phone call to discuss our vision for our wedding, we connected immediately! Katherine was without doubt the best investment we made for our wedding. While our day was special, the more and more we get away from the day, the more we rely on our photos to remind us how the day felt. And oh boy, did Katherine excel at helping us relive our day! One of my favorite things about her work is that our photos include the typical family portraits, perfectly executed documentary shots to catch all those candids, and artistic shots where she flexed her creative muscle. Taken together, each of our photos is a gem in its own right and going through our library of photos felt like digging into an onion - so many layers and new gems to find. At the end of the day, you pick a photographer for their style and Katherine hit it out of the park in that department. She brought so much more to our planning and wedding than just that - whether the thoughtful gifts her team sent, vendor recommendations whenever I needed them, or a stylistic eye when I was making a decor decision, Katherine felt like she was always there. I know how busy she is but I always felt like I was her #1 priority (even a year out from my wedding when most vendors ignore you). On my wedding day, I felt like I had a friend with me not a stranger. Katherine is a star and I’d enthusiastically recommend her!

Katherine & Wilde Scout shot my sisters wedding a few years back. So, when I got engaged and I called Katherine at Wilde Scout immediately. At this point I had not even known the date of our wedding and just booked them on the spot for a TBD date...AND IT WAS THE BEST DECISION EVER. I have to tell everyone reading this that I have been to and been in so many weddings and all of the photos are the same...same poses, same everything. Wilde Scout, however, are SO SO SO SO SO SPECIAL. I can not get over how insanely talented that they are. I will never understand how Katherine has the eye for this stuff and how she is so immensely talented and creative. The photos are jaw dropping. Truly...I did not know that I could look like this. Photos were the second thing we looked for after booking our venue. We searched through tons of photographers and finally found Wilde Scout. After our initial call with Eryc we knew he was ~*the one*~. He shot our engagement photos and we could not get over how amazing they were and how comfortable he made us feel (he is also cool AF and we loved hanging with him all afternoon). On the day of the wedding, Eryc came early, positive and calm and started shooting right away. He did am amazing job wrangling our giant family portraits (bless you)  and we loved literally every single shot from our couples portraits. When we got of photos back from Katherine we could not believe what he was able to capture without us even realizing and they instantly brought us back to the day. We are so happy we stumbled upon Katherine and her team. Deciding to make Wilde Scout apart of our wedding day was the best decision we made that day...besides yanno getting married (!)

Obsessed. Not only did Katherine make me feel at ease right away with her fun, awesome personality and penchant for taking the best photos ever, she and Eryc made me look super beautiful on my wedding day, my husband look extra-dapper AF, my dog look like an IG model — and captured every moment perfectly (and even made me look hot while being sweaty on a dance floor). They are seriously the only photographers you should consider. I see these photos and can transport from my boring work day to the best day of my life in an instant. Finding the right photographer for our wedding was NOT easy until we found Katherine. Katherine and the Wilde Scout Photo team has been great to work with. From the initial phone conversation up to the day of the wedding, Katherine was a pleasure to work with. It was important for us to have vendors that represented what we thought was important. It was important that we hire multi cultural vendors, someone that photographed people of color, and importantly worked with same sex couples. There’s nothing like hiring someone that is only working with you for the money. We knew very early on that Katherine was our photographer. Katherine is caring, understanding and works hard to accommodate her clients. She went above and beyond to get our engagement photos done. We had to reschedule like 2-3xs due to the snow but she was able to help us and traveled to our home to make it happen. Katherine is honest. When we went over pricing she did not try to upsell us a larger package. Then towards the end when we thought we couldn’t afford the second photographer, she said no big deal, I can handle it. We did use that second photographer BUT it was great knowing that someone is willing to do the same work without making extra money. That really says a lot. I can’t say enough about Katherine and her team. If you’re looking for a photographer who’s cool, down to earth and more like your cousin, hire Katherine. You will NOT regret it. Not for nothing but we fired our photographer to hire Katherine. That is how much we wanted her on our team.

I can't say enough about Katherine and her crew at Wilde Scout Photo. They are seriously the BEST. I've worked in the Bridal business for 10 plus years and they are hands down some of my favorite photographers. Our relationship initially began as vendors. I do hair and makeup and a few of my brides had booked them for their wedding. I saw the photos and was very impressed. We continued working together for a little over a year. Then it was time for me to book a photographer and with no hesitation I emailed them to make sure they were available before sending out save the dates. We had a small wedding, but photos were high on my priority list. My husband and I and everyone else who have seen our photos could not be happier with them. Katherine really captured the moment, the mood, the experience and she did so effortlessly. She is ultimate cool and chill and helpful. I could go on and on, but I won't. Because when all is said and done, when the meal is forgotten and the toasts are distant memories, you will feel more than blessed to own photographs as dynamic, personal and expressive as Katherine's... Wedding photos were a number one priority for me. Before the dress, before flowers, photography was of huge importance. After pouring through tons of photographer's wedding websites, I happened upon Wilde Scout via Instagram. I was immediately struck at how stunning the photos were, and how real they felt. These weren't your typical staged photographs. Katherine was capturing real moments and making them artful. We were sold. We also loved that she had us do an engagement shoot, so we could get to know her, she could get to know us and grow comfortable in front of the camera for the wedding day. And I am SO SO SO glad that we have those photos of just us. She even stayed way later than she had planned, in order to get all the shots she wanted. Katherine is both talented and goes the extra mile! On our wedding day, Katherine has such a positive and calming energy. There isn't anyone else, well besides your future spouse, who you spend so much time with on your wedding day and it's impossible to imagine having anyone else there to be with us through it all. Katherine was able to capture phenomenal moments of the day. She has this instinctive eye for capturing naturally occurring moments. Me being excited about food (!), us nailing our first dance, holding hands, and stealing small kisses here or there. They aren't your typical generic wedding photos. They capture the mood and feeling of the day. Katherine also makes you feel like total rockstars. If you want to feel even MORE beautiful on your wedding day, hire Katherine. We cannot recommend Wilde Scout enough. Katherine and her team were AMAZING from start to finish throughout the wedding process. She really captures how a wedding FEELS, which was so important to us. She spent a lot of time on the front end getting to know us and seeking to understand what we wanted out of photos. She put us at ease at every turn, from our engagement session to our final photos of the night. She keeps everyone organized and on schedule without you even realize you're being wrangled, and is so incredibly talented. I cannot recommend Wilde Scout enough.

Katherine went above and beyond. She was fun to work with throughout and always professional. -The engagement photo session went great. We were nervous, but she did her best to put us at ease, and the photos were unique and looked good. -she was easy to reach before the wedding and flexible -the day of wedding, Katherine worked a monster day and stayed focused the whole time - she was there at 8am for a morning event, and stayed until 10 pm. She was super fun to be around the whole day -We were lucky enough to have a second photographer for our wedding, who was in training. It took longer to get her photos. When the mother of the bride realized she wanted more photos of family members walking down the aisle, they were quick to respond and get those photos to us. Very impressed that even after the wedding they were easy to reach, professional, and helpful. -The photos looked phenomenal in the end, plus Katherine and her team were quick to answer follow up questions.

There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said in the countless other glowing reviews, so I'll just say this: everything you've read is true and then some. Katherine and her team are the real deal, and were such an integral part of our wedding day and the memories we created. Can't imagine having worked with anyone else, and couldn't recommend Wilde Scout more highly.

We absolutely LOVED working with Katherine and Wilde Scout for our wedding photos. I wanted something very specific (documentary-style wedding photos more than traditional posed photos, to capture the feel and interactions of the day). The end result was exactly what I wanted, an artful documentation of such a special day. The colors look amazing, the moments that they captured were perfect. I really feel like I can relive parts of that day by looking through the photos. They came out so beautifully. We loved working with Katherine from engagement photos, to day-of wedding photos and all the little emails in between. She was super responsive, had great suggestions when we asked questions, and was a delight to work with. I felt confident from Day 1 that Wilde Scout got my vision and could deliver.

There aren't enough words to describe how thankful we were that we went with Wilde Scout to capture our day. They are genuine, ready to help with ANYTHING, talented as they come, and just straight up fun to be with. From teaching my brothers how to wear a pocket square to fixing our bouquets when a flower started to wilt.. Eryc saved the day SO many times and also captured every moment just the way we remembered it. We had originally planned on having Sam as our wedding photographer but unfortunately due to an injury she was unable to photograph our wedding. If it had been any other company I would have panicked and gone full on bridezilla, but I was at ease because I knew Wilde Scout had nothing but the best and was on top of it. We were lucky enough to get to do our engagement session with Sam and she is also a gem. Taking pictures can feel awkward but her techniques to get you feeling comfortable and at ease in front of the camera are both hilarious and amazing. If you choose either Sam or Eryc... be prepared to laugh.. a lot. You (at least I) feel a weird sadness when your wedding is over and getting our pictures wiped that right away. I was able to relive the best moments of my life over and over again through them and it's all thanks to this incredible team.

Wow. What can I say about our Wilde Scout experience? They have been there from almost the very beginning, and have been so supportive throughout the entire process. Katherine has been wonderful to correspond with, and our photographer Sam has honestly become a friend. The whole team wants to make sure that you get exactly what you want, and work with you closely from day one to ensure that happens. We met with Sam for coffee as a part of the booking decision-making process, and we knew instantly it was her. She has been a calming and comforting presence since that day, and I think shows their approach to wedding photography - the better they can get to know you, the better photos they can take. Our engagement shoot was extremely fun, and Sam was up for anything. The day of the wedding, she captured the spirit of our event, and was an actual boss when it came to posed family shots! People throughout the wedding kept coming up to us, telling us how impressed they were with her. Our photos are gorgeous, and we're so excited to have them to look back at for the rest of our lives. Choosing a photographer for our wedding was the hardest decision for me – there are so many photographers out there, everyone has 5 stars and who do you trust to capture your wedding day? In order to decide, I prioritized two things: 1) I wanted a photographer who could capture the realness of the day – the laughs, the tears, etc – without the over-brightened editing that so often characterizes wedding photos (I didn’t want to look like I had a halo of light around me); and 2) I wanted to support a woman-owned company. Katherine Marchand and her team at Wilde Scout checked all my boxes and after speaking with Katherine, I knew she was the right fit – she’s funny, engaging and easy to talk to. Katherine shot our engagement photos and Sam did our wedding and we could not be happier. I was sitting in a Brooklyn loft with my husband and cousin in law talking to Katherine about our freezing dead of winter wedding in February. It’s at this point where we bonded and clicked which to me was super important as this is the person who is going to capture the best moments of your life. What was supposed to be a 40 minute meeting at most turned into 3 hours of conversation and wine. Initially, it was the tone of her voice on her website that captivated me to reach out to her. Honest, real, cool, down to earth. Meeting her was just proving the tone of her voice was true and that we could connect. First, we had an amazing engagement shoot at the Bushwick Collective near our apartment, inside our living room, on our roof, and at a favorite neighborhood restaurant. She wanted to capture the essence of us - kinda hipster, kinda bougie foodie, and lots of love in between. She nailed it. In between with emails, she would get back to me within hours, sometimes minutes. And when it came down to finalizing our contract, she was on our side. As we were concerned about inclement weather and getting screwed over. But she got me with, if I have to sleep next to you the night before to be there in the morning I will be. Sold. Our wedding day, she was on the ball. Getting all the details of my dress. Family moments getting ready. Gorgeous pictures of the church. And best of all, capturing the fun and emotion of our reception. Katherine and Sam did a great job in capturing all the emotion during our most memorable moments and I couldn’t be happier. Choosing WildeScout to photograph our summer wedding in Manhattan was one of the best (and easiest!) decisions we made throughout the planning process. After finding her on Instagram, we instantly fell in love with Katherine’s photography style – which is incredibly artistic and romantic, rather than staged and forced like some wedding photography can be. From our first meeting over coffee to a call to work through final details and concerns, Katherine made herself available via text and email for all the crazy questions that came up and put my mind at ease. We met Katherine when she was the photographer at our friend's wedding, and we were immediately impressed by a. how awesome she is as a person and b. how she totally blended in at the wedding and made it seem to effortless to capture the best moments. Once we saw only a handful of photos from that wedding, we knew we had to book her for ours. She's that good. During our wedding planning process, Katherine checked in with us regularly to see if there was anything she could do for us, and even helped me out when I was having some slight wedding dress cold feet (what photographer does that?!) Fast forward to our wedding day: Katherine and Kelsey killed it. The two of them were such a calming force when we were a bit behind schedule, and wrangled the bridal party and families like champs. They made us feel so comfortable (read: not awkward) when we were taking our couples shots, and my now-husband said he actually enjoyed that part instead of dreading photos like he normally does. A few days after our wedding, Katherine sent us our 'sneak peaks'.... and they are UNREAL. Seriously, she sent us 75 photos, and they're so good that if that were all we were getting, I'd still be thrilled. I can't even wait for the additional 600. Her photo style is unlike anything I've ever seen before, and all of her photos are so real and beautiful, and they don't look like the typical staged cookie cutter wedding photos that you usually see. She captured US, which I think is so hard to do in something that feels as unnatural as wedding photos sometimes feel. Reiterating my first point: do yourself a favor and book Katherine now. Simply put: Katherine is incredible. As a photographer she's beyond talented. As a wedding photographer, she's some sort of magical ninja. She was simultaneously everywhere (somehow capturing every important shot of the day from every angle, all on her own) and nowhere (somehow blending in with ease, even in my small 16 person family-only wedding). Where do I even start...Wilde Scout (Kat) was the first vendor we booked for our wedding. We saw a picture she had taken of a college friend and instantly fell in love with her candid style and the way she uses light in her photos. We met Kat for the first time on Memorial Day 2017 in her then studio in BK a week after booking our venue. We fell in love with Kat as a person immediately and are honored to say call her a friend. We felt like she got us as a couple and just wanted to capture our love in the purest way possible. The day of the wedding, Kat & Max both did an amazing job at managing some challenging weather conditions and family members. We wouldn't have wanted anyone else on this earth to shoot our wedding. Look no further -- Wilde Scout is the best in the game, bar none.

Wedding pictures was a priority my husband and I knew we would be splurging on. We found Katherine on the knot shortly after we got engaged, (Super fun) emails were sent and received, met up with her at a small bar in Queens, shared beers, and booked her right away! Throughout the process, she was there to answer every little question or concern this bridezilla had. Our engagement shoot day came, we had forgotten about it- slapped on light make up, wrangled 2 frenchies and met her in Brooklyn all out of breath. The session was great, we did so much all over Dumbo with 2 outfit changes, and she gave great direction. Not going to lie, but I was dreading the photos for 2 weeks. Then I got an email, I don't know what sorcery Katherine possesses but I literally cried when I saw them. Until the wedding, Katherine followed up with me and helped me make a workable schedule for the big day, reviewed everything couple days before. On the wedding day, I was in full bride monster mode of course. Katherine was there with her soothing voice and direction for all the time and weather constraints we encountered. For family pictures I had a list of about 50 members for every combination under the sun. Of course people weren't cooperative, Katherine used her best teacher voice to get everyone in line and it made both my husband very happy. From the ceremony on to reception we don't remember much except going out side for sunset pictures and having her there for every little event through the wedding (including a magician and tossing pizza with our caterer). We got sneak peeks on our honeymoon a few days later, I was shook. They came out more beautiful then we could've imagined. Wedding pictures are so important because these will be your #tbt's, #mcm, #wcw, mother's day, national wedding day, and who knows what else will be made up by then but we are sure that we are more than well prepared for a lifetime of content and beautiful memories. I am a DIY bride and Wildescout was one of the best investments we made for our big day.

Where do I begin... Katherine and Sam along with the rest of the Wilde Scout crew are simply AMAZING! My wife and I initially met Katherine at a local bar in Long Island City (where we currently live) to get an idea of what we were looking for, and the style of photography that Katherine and her team does. Meeting someone for the first time can always be a stressful situation, but Katherine was super chill, down to earth, and made us feel even more excited about our big day. We absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Wilde Scout Photography! My husband and I live in CT and Katherine was kind enough to meet us in New Haven for our first meeting to get to know her and ask any questions we had before booking. That alone meant so much to us. It was also clear after that meeting that her style and vibe meshed perfectly with ours. During the booking process she was quick to answer any emails we sent her way. On the day of our engagement photos my makeup artist was an hour late and it was raining, Katherine was so understanding of the situation and was quick to suggest indoor options of where to take our photos. She also gave us the option of moving the photos to a different date. We ended up taking the photos at the Whitney museum and we absolutely love our photos from that day! Despite it being hectic due to the makeup artist, she made us feel so relaxed that we forgot all about the worries earlier in the day. We felt completely confident in Katherine leading up to the wedding and her questionnaire made it easy for us to clearly state what photos would mean the most to us. On the day of the wedding, Katherine and Sam showed up right on time which put both my husband and I at ease. I started off my day with a boudoir shoot where both Katherine and Sam (who I met for the first time that day) made me feel SO comfortable. Definitely recommend as a way to get rid of wedding day jitters before the ceremony! Many of our guests commented on how they did an amazing job of not getting in the way of the ceremony but managed to get all the important shots. Katherine and Sam both had so many unique and fun ideas for our couples portraits and they captured all of the best moments at the reception (again, without being in anyone's way). I truly cannot recommend Wilde Scout enough. They were 100% the best decision we made for our wedding day and you will NOT regret booking them.

Katherine exceeded our expectations in every way. While looking for a photographer, we fell in love with her style and laid back demeanor. We are not the most comfortable people in front of the camera but she put us at ease and we had a blast taking our photos. Katherine and the Wilde Scout team are AMAZING. We found Katherine on The Knot and sent her a message. She responded quickly (which as we soon learned, she always does). We met up with Katherine shortly thereafter for drinks and to discuss what we were looking for in a photographer and what she had to offer and determined we were a perfect match. We booked her that same night I believe, without even bothering to meet with other photographers. We don’t regret our decision one bit! Our next encounter with Katherine was during our “engagement shoot.” We were engaged for almost two years at this point and felt weird about doing an engagement shoot but we are happy we did. We had such a great time shooting with Katherine and she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. It was nothing but laughs and love. We couldn’t wait for our wedding day after we saw how our engagement shoot photographs turned out. Katherine made us look good! Wedding day photographs were very important for us as we decided not to have a videographer. We just got our wedding photographs back and they captured all of the emotions we felt the day of our wedding. We decided to ask our guests not to take photographs during our ceremony, a decision we made after Katherine posted about this on her Facebook support group for Wilde Scout couples (yes, she is there for her couples like that), and ended up with the most beautiful ceremony pictures ever. You only get great tips like this when you are working with someone who is experienced! Finally, Katherine has such an unmatched attention to detail and her passion shows not only in her work but in the way she interacts with her couples. Truthfully, I could write an entire novel about how kick ass amazing Katherine and Sam and all of Wilde Scout are! When I read reviews I like to hear specific examples of WHY and HOW a vendor is incredible, so here is my brief run down from first meeting Katherine to wedding day + beyond. Katherine was recommended to me through a friend of a friend of a friend so I was not at all sure what to expect, so I immediately found Wilde Scout's website, read their meet us section and within minutes emailed her to set up an in person get together. My now husband and I met her at a bar around the corner from our apartment, ate nachos, drank, and chatted for roughly an hour about her aesthetic, how she came to be a wedding photographer and what we were looking for. I'm going to pause here for a moment to state Katherine is a photojournalist. Katherine is a genius when it comes to capturing raw, candid, moments between you and your loved ones. She will certainly do an outstanding job documenting the posed family photos that every mom out there must have, but she really shines behind the scenes, in the details, without you even knowing she's there. I refer to her and Sam as not only photographers, but ninjas of sorts, they're EVERYWHERE and when you get your photos back you just can't help but wonder how in the world they got that shot or KNEW to take that shot... ninjas. Following our first meeting our next in person encounter with Katherine was at our engagement shoot. Admittedly, we were both very opposed to engagement photos, we envisioned them being cheesy, forced and awkward, but WOAH were we wrong. She did an outstanding job of putting us at ease and we honestly had an absolute blast that day. Our wedding day with her and Sam was EFFORTLESS, FUN, and MEMORABLE, but by this point, we came to expect nothing short of magic from Wilde Scout. Thank you will never do it justice, but its all I've got + SO much love for this badass group of lady photographers/ninjas!
