m our first meeting at her studio, I could tell she really captures something special with her pictures. She had also shot my friend's wedding, and I was struck by how her pictures depicted the magic of the day and covered every element of the event! I knew I could be totally confident in her for our big day. Kathi was flexible with our schedules for our "Engagement Shoot" and met us very early on a Saturday morning in Central Park. I was nervous as I've never had professional photos taken before, but she really put us at ease and made it feel completely natural. She spent a lot of time with us, making sure the lighting and our positioning was ideal, and we have incredible photos from that day (which she turned around to us in less than 2 weeks). For the wedding, it was really a pleasure to work with her and her second shooter, Harrison. As the venue was a mansion house, they found tons of places to take pictures, inside and outside, for unique and beautiful shots. Not only did they capture us, our families and bridal party, but also all of our guests in both posed and totally candid and wonderful shots! I honestly don't know how they covered SO much of the wedding!!! I think what really sets Kathi apart is her candids - the special moments from the day. She looks for lots of different angles / set ups / interesting ways to showcase the people at the event and all the special details and decor. I really can't recommend Kathi more highly! I'm so glad I got to work with her for our wedding!

She and Miana (who was also wonderful!) made us feel so comfortable and were sure to get special shots (even pulling us aside during the reception in an unobtrusive way to get a shot by the water with perfect evening light!). Many of our guests commented on how great our photographer was, saying "she was everywhere!" Her photography is beautiful and she is wonderful to work with - I would highly recommend her!

She was more pricey than other photographers, but most of that was the inclusion of a second photographer, which proved to be worth the extra money to capture more aspects of the wedding. My husband and I did not want to see each other before the ceremony and Kathi was completely flexible in accommodating that. The day was perfect and Kathi helped in that regard and we now have priceless photos because of her.

to work with the photos to create a book that so beautifully tells the story of your wedding day. And, oh yeah, we really like her, too! Our wedding was 10 years ago, and it still makes me smile every time I look at one of our (Kathi's) wonderful pictures.

For us, it was her photos of my last minute handwritten To-Do list that I had left on the table; my bridesmaids helping to zip me up as I sucked in; my mothers beautiful hands; the look on my husbands face as I began to walk down the aisle. Somehow she manages to be everywhere (how did she get pictures of everyone at the reception?!) and nowhere (she is able to move quietly through the crowd and you hardly notice that all the while she is snapping away). I feel like Kathi really got to know us and understood well what we wanted for our special day. We received stunning, elegant, gorgeous photos that truly captured the essence of who we are and how we celebrated our love that day with all of our friends and family. What more can you ask for in a wedding photographer?! It was worth every penny and I am so grateful to Kathi for doing such a stupendous job.

We didn't even notice Kathi and her crew - they moved in an out like stealth ninjas, capturing one magical moment after the next. I don't even know how they did it because I don't think I saw them that day. I hardly remember anything from my wedding day -- it was one big blur. The only thing I have to remember that day is these photos. Kathi's style is photojournalistic and artistic but she also captures "standard" shots in a creative way. Interpersonally, she's a pleasure to work with and we still keep in touch today, 13 years later (!). she's pricier than some but it's worth every penny - we have the most beautiful memories of our wedding day thanks to her.

Over the course of the year up to the wedding, we corresponded with Kathi, and she was always receptive to our ideas and eager to answer our questions.
