I am so glad I found Kathleen - I had a hard time finding a makeup artist who could help me find the middle ground of a natural look but enough makeup to enhance my features. Kathleen did just that. Her wealth of experience was evident in helping me determine my makeup and hair, and she was so easy to work with even as I asked to tweak my foundation the day of. When I walked into her cool studio for my trial, she asked all the questions I felt like were missing from previous experiences. Kathleen’s experience in the industry and professionalism made me at ease. My mom, mother in law and bridesmaids all commented how lovely the team Kathleen brought on the morning of my wedding was, and everyone was really happy with their hair and makeup! It was truly a relaxing morning thanks to the competence of Kathleen and her team. I highly recommend! PS. Idk how she did it but I barely felt the fake lashes she applied all day!

I really felt like everyone involved really understood my vision for my hair & makeup & they took the time to communicate with me during the process & make sure I loved it each step of the way. The entire team is personable & very professional. Even my girls who aren’t usually comfortable getting makeup done felt at ease. Communication was easy & the response time was quite quick. The pricing was incredibly fair - to be honest they should charge more for their excellent work! 10/10 I cannot say enough good things about this team!

Kathleen and her team were awesome. From the very beginning Kathleen was timely in her responses and very fair in pricing, and even offered a discount given the larger size of my bridal party. I went for my trial and I wasn't 100% on the style, and Kathleen was open to feedback and me coming for a second trial. She was very patient with my needs and my hair and makeup turned out perfect. From the beginning, she was extremely professional and provided prompt responses -- important considering I reached out to her within 62 days of the wedding date. Kathleen, provided a thorough and detailed proposal that accurately reflected all of our needs. She requested inspirational photos of the ideal makeup and hair for the event from all individuals but something that distinguished her from others is the fact that she took the time to identify our individual hair and skin needs for pretreating the hair leading up to the event! This proved to be extremely important -- our hair and make-up looked and felt perfect for the longevity of the event. This saved us money as we did not need any touch-ups! Kathleen and her partner, Kris, were punctual on the day of the event. They set up quickly and went straight to work. I loved my wedding hair thanks to Kathleen and Sahnet! They were so considerate of my needs that day, giving me a slightly off the shoulder look with my hair down and curled. It was supposed to be a hot day and I had a few outfit changes and so Kathleen helped me come up with a plan to have my hair "down" though off of my neck and out of the way. Sahnet also accommodated my day-of-change in veil plan and made it work perfectly. The look was so pretty and I felt like myself, though all glammed up! My hair lasted all day, too.

Kathleen and her crew, Sahna, Lea, and Camille, did an amazing job with hair and make up for 9 of us on the wedding day! The crew was efficient, professional and so skilled! When Kathleen told me my makeup artist was sick three days before my wedding I was a nervous wreck about using another artist she suggested, as I had been so in love with my trial makeup. But Kathleen put me in good hands with Mr. Johnny Ross, who flawlessly executed my vision from a photo of my trial, and it was everything I wanted it to be!! He was so fun to work with and did an amazing job on my bridal party as well - everyone looked naturally beautiful! And my hair stylist Lea was just as fantastic - we had had a perfect trial and she expertly created the exact same look for my wedding. Kathleen and team know their stuff! I was so thankful for their hair and makeup expertise leading up to (in my consultation) and the morning of our wedding. Her team was perfectly prepared and tactfully moved between bridesmaids, flower girls, my mother, mother-in-law, and myself! I was blown away by their ability to juggle hair styling and long-lasting makeup application within a window of time that is never as long as a bridal party needs it to be.

Kathleen was easy to work with from day 1. During the hair/makeup trial she made me feel special and really listened to what I had to say. On the day of wedding we had a very early call time and each of her assistants was right on time. Kathleen provided 2 hair women and 2 makeup women (including herself). They were all so nice! My Bridesmaids all looked beautiful and I was extremely impressed. My hair and makeup (both done by Kathleen herself) were perfect and lasted all day. We got ready at my mom’s house and everything was very clean when they left. I would highly recommend Kathleen and her team for your future wedding or event.

Beyond perfect! Kathleen was wonderful to work with and her team of specialists were incredible. BRIDES...DO NOT DO IT! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! YOU WILL REGRET IT! First, let me start by saying that I barely ever post reviews and I certainly never post bad reviews, but in this case I felt it was necessary to save other brides from this company. At my trial, everything was wonderful. The girls spent a lot of time on my hair and makeup and I loved how everything came out. As the day approached, I became concerned that one makeup and one hair girl wouldn't have enough time to complete myself, my mom and four bridesmaids. Months before the wedding I reached out to the owner who assured me that there would be plenty of time. The day of my wedding was extremely extremely rushed. When I say rushed, I mean that my last bridesmaid was still getting her makeup done while the limo was waiting outside to take us to the church. Talk about stress! That was high stress! When my makeup was finished, my face looked like caked on orange. I have a fair complexion with no orange tones so I have no clue why the makeup artist chose this color that clearly did not match my neck. The pictures from the beginning of the day are so hideous I can't even explain. My husband thinks that I always look beautiful and even he was disgusted. Luckily I wiped most of it off before the rest of the pictures were taken. Also, let me add that I curl my hair almost every day. I have coarse, thick hair that is amazing at holding curls. I've never ever had issues with curl staying in my hair when done properly. Now the hair.... at the trial my hair was so beautiful, and as I explained before I curl my hair often and never have any problems. For my wedding day, I wanted my hair extra curly...much curlier than I usually wear it. At the trial, it was done nice and extra curly and beautiful. When I sat down to have my hair done, I told the girl to do my hair the same as the trial. Not only was it less curly the trial, it was less curly than I usually wear it, making it look not special at all. Because it was so rushed and not done curly enough, by the time I reached the reception my hair was completely flat with just a few curls at the end. It was not the movie star look that I imagined and expected from the trial. I even got comments from people that they were surprised my hair was so flat since I'm known for having very full and stylish hair. Please do not hire this company! The girls are talented and they will do a great job at the trial. The day of they are rushed and flustered and you will not get the results that you wanted. Now I have to deal with looking at half of my wedding pictures with an orange face, and the other half with flat hair. It's depressing after you spend so much time and energy to make your day perfect and then you don't have any pictures that you like. Luckily everything else was wonderful (the food, the band, the ceremony, etc.) and I really did have a great time despite not looking my best, but I'm a person who loves great pictures and it really really really sucks that I don't have any pictures from my wedding that I want to display.

Kathleen and her team were wonderful! Very professional, communicative, and receptive to feedback after my trial. During my wedding day, they had notes from my trial and after, and adjusted until I loved everything about my look. My girls all also looked amazing, especially considering we had a variety of skin tones, hair color, and ages. Everyone's hair and makeup lasted through the entire night, and looked incredible in photos. They were able to accommodate 12 people easily, set up quickly, were on time, and packed up quickly. The whole team was really efficient and talented. So so glad I found Kathleen!

I hate to write a bad review, but I had a horrible experience with KB. The women were very friendly and made my MOH and I feel comfortable for my trial, but I went in saying that I wanted my hair up. Somehow I ended up with my hair down and while I was open to seeing it down, no one even offered to try an updo like I originally wanted. I was quickly handed off to the make up artist and asked for a VERY natural look. She assured me that was her go to with brides and started with the air brush make up. As I was getting my make up done the hair stylists was packing up and I asked if she wouldn't mind showing me what my hair would look like in an updo quickly so I knew which one I wanted - she didn't seem pleased as she head to the shore, but she quickly put it up making my hair look like a beehive. I was then shown my make up and was horrified, the make up was dark, heavy, and I looked nothing like myself. I left the appointment upset, but then saw my now husband's face and knew it was bad. He said to me "you're not going to look like that day of, are you?". My parents were in shock at how I looked. KB had great reviews and the women were nice, so I wanted to give them another shot. I asked KB if we could redo the trial at a discount and she said she couldn't do that, she felt that her artists fulfilled their jobs. I am not sure how that was ever the case - I walked out with the opposite look that I walked in asking for. Maybe this company is better for someone who does not have fair skin or thick hair, but it was not a good fit for me.

Kathleen and her team were just wonderful. My hair and makeup lasted all night even with how humid my wedding day was. They do a fantastic job and I couldn't recommend them more.

I am soooo happy I found Kathleen! I had already booked my makeup, but the trial for makeup was just as amazing as hair. She sent Jaime to us for hair and she was beyond awesome. The day was hot and humid so my curls didn’t last as long as I’d like but considering the weather it all held up great. I definitely would recommend!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Kathleen and her team. From the trial, she understood what I wanted even when I didn't have the words to describe it, and made sure that I spoke up about how I wanted my hair and makeup done--and not what others wanted to see in me or thought how I should look on my wedding day. Amidst all the wedding day chaos of vendors arriving and whatnot, Kathleen's professionalism and calming demeanor kept myself in check as she has clearly done this for years, and I don't know how I would've gotten ready without her.

My makeup turned out even better than I imagined. Anytime I had a question, she contacted me back right away. I’m allergic to a variety of chemicals found in cosmetics and she had an eyelash glue free of additives which worked out perfectly. Kathleen Benjamin was a tremendous pleasure to work with. From the moment I contacted her to set up a trial through the getting ready process on my wedding day she was communicative and professional. She listened to what I wanted and made me feel beautiful. She brought a team of hair stylists the day of my wedding and made my bridesmaids, flower girls, mother, and mother in law look amazing and feel gorgeous. She was able to accommodate a last minute hair request for my grandmother and also do an unexpected blowout for my mom. And even though both were not part of the original timeline everyone was still done on time so that our photographer could begin as scheduled. He even complimented her on having all of the hair and makeup done before he arrived. Kathleen is very calm and just her presence made me feel more relaxed even when I was not in her chair. I received so many compliments on how beautiful I looked all day and I had a confidence when taking photos, during the ceremony, and mingling with family and friends at cocktail hour and the reception that I never knew I could have.
