Kathy Allen Fine Cakes

Kathy did a gorgeous job with our cake, which was the centerpiece of our reception. Her work is beautiful and diverse - I wanted something very structural, and she went for it! It was exactly as I had imagined it, and a true undertaking and work of art. (Also, delicious!) Would highly recommend Kathy - She was flexible when the weather wrecked our plans for an outdoor reception, and I never had any doubts she would deliver an amazing product in a seamless fashion! We weren't sure during the planning process that we wanted a traditional wedding cake, but are thrilled to have chosen Kathy - It made for a truly memorable moment, as we cut it with my grandmother on her own anniversary.

The best tasting cakes ever. And are absolutely beautiful. Our guests couldn’t believe the flowers were hand made by Kathy. A true joy to work with from the first phone call to the last bite ! I can’t wait to have another daughter get married so I can have another Kathy Allen cake.

I can't say enough good things about Mrs. Kathy Allen. What a class act! My family and I were so incredibly impressed with her professionalism, expertise and big heart. Visiting her home for our two tastings were elegant, comfortable experiences. The cake I envisioned was brought to life by Kathy and looked even better than I could have ever imagined. The sugar flowers (her specialty) were gorgeous and I'm so happy she recommended we save them. The cake was talked about by all of our guests and the general consensus was that it was one of the best wedding cakes most everyone had ever had! Kathy did an outstanding job with my wedding cake and the taste of the cake was so delicious that we have saved the leftovers in our freezer for several months after our wedding so we can have more of her delicious cake! Definitely recommend!

Kathy Allen is an amazing wedding cake artist! She created the most beautiful, unique, work of art for our wedding cake. Her sugar flower artistry is incredible and her attention to detail is flawless. The best part is, it also tastes incredible too! A friend recommended her and I instantly fell in love with her designs on her website. My husband and I decided to meet with her and she blew us both away. She is as sweet as can be and so easy to work with. She wanted to know every detail of our wedding and I was happy to share! She helped continue my romantic, glamorous theme to our cake with ease. We selected elements of another design she had done but customized it. She even took a swatch of the blush pink fabric from my bridesmaid dresses and used it for the flower color. She created an edible sugar peony with blush pink petals dipped in silver edible glitter. The cake was topped off with a silver glitter lace boarder . The flavors she let us taste were also amazing, we had a hard time deciding. We went with lemon pound cake and chocolate cake all covered with buttercream. She also let us rent her beautiful vintage silver cake stand. On the day of our wedding, our guests were stunned with how beautiful and unique our cake was and how good it tasted! We loved working with Kathy and were so happy with our beautiful cake. We can't wait to eat in again in a year! I would highly recommend Kathy Allen Cakes, you will be amazed by her work.

The cake that Kathy Allen made for my parents 50th wedding anniversary was as gorgeous as it was delicious. What attracted me to Kathy Allen's cakes is her skill at making such realistic looking flowers and her attention to details. I have had her cake before, so I knew how delicious it would be but the cake itself was so beautiful I almost didn't want to cut into it!!! An added benefit is that the incredible flowers she creates can be kept and displayed indefinitely. It's really an art form in itself. I also loved working with her as she is such an incredibly sweet lady. She takes such pride in her work and she made me feel as if I was her most important client. I highly recommend her and cannot say enough nice things about her and her work.

She hand crafts extraordinary flowers with meticulous botanical accuracy such that people will not believe the flowers are edible sugar rather than freshly picked from a flower garden. You may ask "Does it taste as good as it looks?" Well, it actually tastes even better. You will initially be a little sad that you had to cut into this beautiful creation, but you will quickly forget your dismay as your mouth waters for a second bite of cake! Kathy is an uncompromising perfectionist and an experienced professional. You can trust that your high level of expectations will be exceeded if you are fortunate enough to meet Kathy. It is actually just icing on the cake that Kathy is genuine, warm, inviting, and precious! My husband and I worked with Kathy for our wedding cake. Our wedding guests were awe-struck by the gorgeous cake and about 70 people almost polished off a cake made to serve 200! Fortunately, we had a little extra to take home, but not enough to keep my husband, my Mom, and me from pulling our wedding cake top out of the freezer on our 2 week anniversary rather than our one year anniversary and enjoying every bite! We will have Kathy bake another small cake for our one year anniversary in keeping with tradition, but we simply could not resist. We love Kathy, and you will too.
