rstand what would work with my ideas and my budget. I showed Kathy the look I was going for (white and pale yellow flowers, ideally roses) and said I was open to other flower ideas if it would help to keep the order within my budget. Other vendors would give various suggestions, but since I'm not a florist or gardener saying a type of flower is meaningless to me. Even after having a blank look on my face and saying "I don't know what that looks like" other florists didn't try to help me get a better picture of these other suggestions they were making. Kathy, on the other hand, spent a bunch of time with me, showed me various pictures in books and even pulled a bunch of different bouquet mock ups together to help me visualize the different flower options, sizes and details. I left there knowing I had found my florist and the types of flowers I was going to be able get that fit into my budget. The bouquets and ceremony flowers were absolutely beautiful. I ended up with all the bouquets and brought them to Maine with us for our mini-moon and enjoyed them all week long placed throughout the house. I got to enjoy them all for a second week when we got home to VT. I couldn't believe how long they lasted and looked amazing.

With that said...I was let down with what we ended up with The negatives: -My groom's boutineer was huge and he requested one that was extra small -We ordered two hot pink flowers for our cake and it ended up being covered in white roses and light blue hydrangeas, not at all the look we were going for -My bridesmaids bouquets fell apart before the ceremony even started -Our centerpieces were MUCH smaller than what I had envisioned in my head,not sure if there was a miscommunication The Positives -Kathy made beautiful corsages for the ladies in my family -Beautiful arrangements at the church altar and aisles Overall, the flowers were all beautiful, just the final look was definitely off from what we agreed upon during our planning meeting. I was upset about some of these details after the wedding, the only thing that still gets to me is how large my husband's boutineer was, it was huge and looks massive in our photos. Kathy has done many of my friend's weddings and they all recommended her, so maybe these mis-steps on my wedding was a random occurrence.

d tell me what I could use to achieve the look I wanted. We wanted our flowers to be bright green and white. Kathy spent a fair amount of time showing us pictures and throwing together some sample bouquets for us to visualize until she got a feel for what I'd like. I was very impressed with our first meeting and really wanted to book her. She got our quote together and emailed it to us- at first it was much higher that we had hoped to spend. We let her know and after several emails back & forth we agreed on a price. It ended up including only the bridal party bouquets and boutonnieres, my parents corsage/boutonniere, flowers for an alter draping (we supplied the fabric to save $), and a toss bouquet for me. When she arrived at our venue to set up the day of our wedding, Kathy had actually supplied some flowers for our cake and 2 centerpieces for our family tables. These were things we had initially wanted but had cut out to fit our budget. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but we appreciated the extra touches! The flowers were beautiful! We had hand-tied European style bouquets consisting of white & green roses, oriental lilies, white carnations, and green poms. Everything was exactly what I was hoping for. I was very happy with the quality of Kathy's work, she definitely loves what she does!

ntion to details that I hadn't even thought to mention. From pinning boutonnieres on the guys to having the throw bouquet expertly placed on the cake table. Three weeks later select flowers from my bouquet were still being enjoyed! I would highly recommends Kathy & Company Flowers.
