Short story long: I discovered Katie through Instagram when searching for a film photographer in Nashville for our engagement photos. We were hoping to test out a potential wedding photographer through this experience and it took practically no time at all to realize we'd found the person we wanted to capture our day. Katie made us feel comfortable, had clearly studied the inspo I shared with her while adding her own style, and gave us helpful direction throughout the whole process. We signed a contract to get her booked for our day in the northeast shortly after.
Again, on our wedding day, she made sure we were comfortable and able to be fully ourselves, and man, does this SHOW in the pictures. Our friends and family can't stop raving about the final product and acknowledging how the photos Katie captures every emotion we were feeling on our wedding day. They somehow feel both raw and polished. The biggest ask we had for Katie was that she captured our grandmothers, nieces, and nephew, and when I tell you KATIE UNDERSTOOD THIS ASSIGNMENT. In our gallery, we received some of the most beautiful candids of these special people that we could ever imagine.
I could go on and on about the positive experiences we had with Katie and her work, but if you're looking for a communicative photographer who makes sure you feel like yourself on your wedding day, provides 50+ previews within a few days of your wedding, and delivers a gallery that makes you feel like you're reliving each and every moment, Katie is it. Your photographer and videographer are two of the most important vendors to consider--they help to make your wedding day memories infinite. nd I never had to worry about a single thing. The second I tried to grab something from my bag she was already 3 steps ahead of me so I could really enjoy the moment and be present. She also set up our charcuterie board and picnic, like cmon how sweet is that. She even accommodated my mother after she broke her ankle the night before our elopement and went above and beyond to make the day go off without a hitch. Being in front of her camera felt comfortable, like a friend you’ve known for years.
Her cueing is so helpful and once our ceremony started, we felt so comfortable to be ourselves. I barely noticed she was there and it really let us have our raw moments and emotions. She’s just incredible and I can’t wait for the next time I get to work with her.
