I am a videographer and I worked a wedding with Katie in the middle of 2021. I was super excited to see what she came up with because that’s the first time I had seen an artist if her kind at any of my past weddings. Her work was absolutely stunning, and I think this would be an amazing gift for any couple to take with them as a very creative & beautiful way to remember their day. As a person, Katie was very warm and bubbly, very easy to talk to. I highly recommend her to any and everyone!

Katie was a dream to work with! We hired her for a live painting at our wedding. We decided to order a larger watercolor. Our guests loved the experience of watching her do her magic. She is very talented and I plan to keep supporting her business by purchasing other art from her and likely commission other custom orders too. Katie was one of my favorite vendors at my wedding. She is extremely talented and very professional. She is able to capture the room in her paintings so elegantly and makes sure to highlight what is important to you. As a wedding present we received a live painting by Katie Geis. This was the most thoughtful and unique gift, our painting is something my husband and I will cherish forever. We provided Katie with our color scheme, several pictures of our attire for the day and the venue. We were able to pick what moment we wanted to have painted, so we chose our ceremony. It ended up raining on our wedding day so we had to move the ceremony indoors. We asked Katie to still paint it as if we were outside by the water. She did not disappoint, and my husband and I were stunned by how beautiful it was. It was so amazing to watch her progress on the painting throughout the night. One of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding was to hire Katie! We surprised our family and friends by having her live paint at our reception and it turned out so beautiful! All night our guests were commenting on how amazing it was to have her there. My husband and I both agree that one of our favorite moments of our day was seeing her work come to life in front of our eyes - seriously our jaws dropped when we saw the finished product! Katie truly captured the magic of our wedding day and it's so nice to have a keepsake hung up in our home to remind us every day of how special our wedding day ended up being. She was so understanding with all our changes due to the pandemic (date and venue change) and we are so glad she could still be there to capture it!

Not only was she extremely easy (and fun!) to work with, she also was the most accommodating vendor you could ask for. With a re-scheduled wedding due to covid, her willingness to work with us and find a new date was an extreme relief. Planning was easy and when I had moments of indecisiveness on what I wanted for our painting, she jumped in with the perfect suggestions for us! At this event itself, she was a complete showstopper (did I mention her fabulous dresses, as well?)!! I've planned a lot of corporate events for work, but by far having her at our wedding was the one event where I've received the most positive feedback from attendees! I became familiar with Katie's work through my daughter. She mentioned that it would be a wonder wedding gift. As a surprise, I hired Katie to paint live at the reception. My daughter got tears in her eyes when she saw Katie there! I asked her to paint the First Dance and it is absolutely gorgeous. It is a stunning reminder of the day! Our guests were also very intrigued by our "live artist". Katie is a true pro. Her work is beautiful. When selecting vendors for the wedding, I wanted to work only with people that I felt were "good" people. Katie is one of those really good people. She was very very easy to work with.

I first learned of live event art after my daughter became engaged. A friend had first encountered it at a wedding she attended out east and thought it was both entertaining for guests to observe and a wonderful keepsake for the bride and groom. I asked our wedding planner for recommendations for artists in the area. Katie Geis was among them, and after viewing her work online and communicating with her about the process, we went ahead and secured her services. She was very responsive to questions I had, and sought a good deal of input ahead so she could create a very personalized experience. Katie was set up with her easel and canvas, unobtrusively off to the side, already painting as guests arrived, dressed in a beautiful gown that was the perfect attire for my daughter’s wedding and wearing a mask per COVID mandates. As my friend had observed, the wedding guests were indeed enamored with the work of art that was gradually unfolding throughout the evening, and at the end of the night, the bride and groom were thrilled with their unique and beautiful work of art that was ready for them to take with them! I highly recommend live art as an extra special touch for any wedding, and Katie Geis as an amazing artist who will accomplish this beautifully.

Katie did a fabulous job as our “live” artist at our daughter’s wedding. She was very professional (and beautifully dressed by the way!) and set up her easel and canvas on the dance floor, where guests could stop, look and chat while she painted. The final art piece was stunning and was displayed later in the evening in the main hallway of the club for all to see. We couldn’t say enough about Katie and her amazing talents! I would say we decided to include live painting at our wedding celebration late in and game and Katie was so very gracious and professional about details needed in order to be sure we could make it work. She thinks about the venue, our desires as clients and wants to do her homework and research about the venue and her clients.
