I have followed Katie's working for almost a decade now and have always known that I would want to have Katie capture the moments of the biggest day of my life. To say she is talented is an understatement. Katie takes so much pride in her work, and it shows. Her work is timeless, classic, and truly meant to impress. Katie and her crew are effortless to work with and made us feel so comfortable in the moments where you don't quite know what to do. Her guidance and support throughout the entire process leading up to the day of the wedding is unmatched. I could not have asked for anything more. Photographs are one of the few things you will take with you as a reminder of your special day. Having someone you know you can trust helps to alleviate some of that pressure. Although I have only received some sneak peaks, I am in awe. I have fallen in love with the greatest day of my life all over again thanks to Katie. She is such a pleasure to work with, and I highly recommend her to anyone who wants their memories to turn into true, meaningful photos that will last a lifetime.

Katie is incredible! From the moment I reached out until after our wedding was finished, she was so responsive and communicative. We did an engagement shoot over a year before our wedding and she helped to make us feel comfortable, guided us through every step of the way, and was so easy to get along with. Leading up to the wedding, she helped to answer all of our questions, helped keep us on track on the day of and most importantly, delivered incredible photos of our day. Her and her second photographer, Amanda, were AWESOME! We were laughing the entire time and they made sure that we would get photos of every possible backdrop at our venue. We got a sneak peak shortly after the wedding and they were incredible-- we cant wait to see the rest! She is truly a dream to work with! I would highly recommend her for any our your photography needs-- she really does capture those authentic moments!

From the moment we booked and had our engagement session with Katie, we knew she would be the one. She took two awkward and not "camera loving" people and completely transformed them through her attentiveness and guidance. Throughout the entire wedding process, she understood the exact vibe we were going for (even though at the times we ourselves struggled to explain it). She heard us. We have never felt more comfortable in front of a camera and it felt like we had known Katie and her team for years. Our guests are still raving about our pictures and most importantly- her professionalism. We couldn't recommend her more and will continue to plug her and her team any chance we get!! Katie is truly such a talented photographer! She gives amazing direction and was so easy to work with. She was so communicative throughout the entire process! We absolutely loved our engagement session on the beach and were so excited for her to capture our wedding just as it happened! She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera which can be awkward at first. Having the engagement session made us more comfortable during the wedding so definitely do the mini session! The second photographer she had (Shannon) was just as great as Katie and it was so great to have 2 photographers (I HIGHLY recommend having 2!) She captured the love between us and gave us the most spectacular pictures to remember our best day ever. I can't wait to see the rest of our wedding pictures and the album she is putting together for us!

Katie captures amazing moments in photos but beyond that, she is an absolute pleasure to work with! She gives perfect direction and is funny, making us feel completely at ease in front of the camera. She was responsive and helpful throughout the process and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. We would definitely recommend Katie to anyone who needs a photographer.

Katie went WAY above expectations from start to finish. She was always professional, quick at responding, and easy to work with. Our engagement session went flawless and we loved the experience as well as the photos! For our wedding, Katie brought a second shooter who was just as great as she was. You forgot they were even at the wedding because they blended into the day so well. The wedding photos came out incredible and there were SO many options of both my husband and I as well as ones that included our guests. Not one photo was stiff, awkward, or overly posed. We gave Katie little direction as we trusted her experience and creativity and we ended up with a perfect gallery. We could not be happier with our experience with Katie. Katie is by far an amazing photographer! I was drawn to her work when she captured the wedding of a friend. Her pictures are so natural and stunning!!! I just had to have her. The whole process is so simple. Katie asks you some questions, makes sure she knows your wish list and she takes it from there. I felt like I didn’t have to do much. I love that she creates such gorgeous, candid photos and doesn’t rely on stiff formal settings. She let my husband and I have fun, but in the fun, she caught amazing moments that define our love so perfectly!! You will not be disappointed with Katie’s work, professionalism and creativity!! She is worth every single penny!!!! 💕

Katie is the best! I hired her for my wedding as have many of my friends and she always delivers stunning photos. She’s so creative and sweet and makes you so comfortable in front of a camera. Can’t recommend her enough!

I highly recommend Katie! She is incredibly accommodating and easy to work with, and knows how to make this process and your day easy. She was so enjoyable to be around and really captured our day exactly as I had imagined! Her second shooter included in the package was also incredible. During the busy summer season, she even got our photos back really quickly (including receiving a highlight next day). Even though she was technically a few days late based on our contract, she gave us free prints to compensate. My family, my husband, and I are all thrilled and will recommend her to anyone getting married in the RI area.

Katie is truly amazing! I contacted her less than 2 months before my wedding (we planned our wedding 3 months from when we got engaged haha- crazy people) asking if she was available to shoot a small wedding (13 people total). I don't know what would have happened if she wasn't available, but the pictures she took are absolutely gorgeous! She captured myself, my husband, my bonus son and our family beautifully in both posed and candid photos! I love the candid photos (one of her best skills) so much! When you're respectfully not paying attention to the photographer and those most precious moments are captured, you'll be glad to have had her shoot your wedding! We were strangers and she made us feel completely comfortable; as if we've known each other for so much longer! Looking at the photos is like living the day all over again! We may have had a small wedding, but it was a big moment for our family (we've been through a lot over the past 6 years), so to be able to breathe and enjoy our day was a true gift and we'll treasure these photos! To end with a Harry Potter quote: "After all this time?" "Always."

My husband Kyle and I have nothing but good things to say about Katie. From our engagement pictures to our wedding day, Katie was an absolute pleasure to work with. She made us both feel comfortable and enjoy having our pictures taken. Katie has an eye for detail and the ability to capture the sweetest little moments.

I HIGHLY recommend Katie. She was a breeze and a pleasure to work with! She is very professional, very good at what she does, very flexible and playful (we were all outside next to the ocean in gale force winds) and a pleasure to be around. Katie sent us a questionnaire prior to our Wedding to get to know us and what we were looking for and what we value in terms of photos. This was extremely helpful because we not only got to communicate the things we do and do not want, but it got my husband and I talking about our vision of our wedding in detail and made us think about things we would have otherwise overlooked. We were able to pay Katie directly through her website and it was the easiest transaction out of any of our vendors! No hassle, no writing checks, no nonsense. Katie brought a co-worker to photograph our wedding in addition to herself and they worked together wonderfully. We were given VERY helpful cues when we needed them. I was most surprised at the fact that I never felt like there was a camera in my face, all night! Even at the church ceremony or during our first dance, my husband and I were completely in the moment and enjoying each other and did not even notice when pictures were being taken candidly. I can't say enough positive things about Katie, she is the only photographer I will use for future events and family occasions. I am not exaggerating when I say that our wedding would not have been the same without Katie. We are so grateful!

Katie was fabulous! Our engagement shoot was a perfect practice round for the wedding day, and also provided us with beautiful sunset pictures that we will forever cherish. She was incredibly responsive to emails, and has an in depth understanding of the wedding day process. The day of the wedding, she was a joy to have through the getting ready process, and captured every moment of the day. I become very awkward during photo taking, and she managed to calm me down and make me laugh so that I took great pictures!! So thankful for how she contributed to our wedding day. The photos came out perfectly!!

Saying Katie is amazing is an under statement. She went above and beyond for our wedding in July. She accommodated our families' requests, and some unconventional ones. Katie took our formal family shots/wedding party and then she took shots of my husband and I on two separate occasions, once in the beginning and once during sunset. Her work is exceptional and I was the bride who wasn't sure what was best and trusted everything to the experts and she did not disappoint. She got all the specific pictures I asked for during ceremony at the church and the party. I had family reaching out to her to get pictures from the wedding and she handled it professionally which was greatly appreciated. She was able to capture the venue before and during the party. We had great pictures that were requested by the venue and florist. Honestly, we couldn't have been happier with Katie and the experience she provided. Also, her website with your wedding album was easy to navigate and she responded quickly to follow up questions regarding the pictures and getting prints. TOP NOTCH Katie! Thank you!

From the moment I saw Katie for the first time I knew we would hit it off (she was wearing my favorite dress of all time). I had already heard good things from friends, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how laid back and cool she was - this was super important for us, as my now husband is shy and introverted. I wanted him to be comfortable, and I wanted us to feel like normal humans when a near-stranger would be photographing us in an intimate setting. Well, Katie delivered and we had a blast working with her. She made us feel relaxed and went with the flow (we had hurricane force winds), which made us calm, too. She is fun and light-hearted and an absolute joy to work with - 100% recommend. On top of all that obviously her photography is beautiful. From the moment we first met Katie for our initial consult about our wedding plans and desires for photography, my husband and I knew immediately that we had struck gold when discovering Katie Lovaas Photography. Our feelings only grew throughout the entire wedding planning process with each interaction. Katie has a gift of making people feel at ease in front of the camera and also when planning the photography for the big day. She took both our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures and during both sessions she flawlessly guided everyone in the shots while making everyone feel comfortable and most importantly to me, natural. Katie is amazing and that is putting it mildy. My husband HATES HATES HATES having his picture taken so I was a little worried how our wedding pictures would end up. We don't have many pictures together so I came up with a pretty detailed list of the pictures I had to have while everything else could be candids. And boy did she deliver!!! For weeks, I couldn't stop looking at my pictures. Every single picture just took me back to my wedding and just radiated all the love. Katie was so professional and came up with picture ideas while also surprising me with shota of moments I didn't even know she was there. Katie is an amazing photographer and puts so much time and love into her work! Her eye is one of the best I have ever seen. I would recommend her for any event that you want a photographer. She is AMAZING!

Simply put, Katie is AMAZING! She was such a pleasure to work with! From the first time we met through our post-wedding contact now, she is super professional, genuinely excited about your wedding, and a total sweetheart. Our engagement shoot (included in our package) was absolutely stunning and also ridiculously fun - she has an excellent sense of humor in addition to her great eye for composition and framing. We received tons of compliments on our engagement photos, and my bridesmaids even ended up using one for the invitation to my bridal shower. Moreover, for Christmas, she picked her favorite shot from the shoot and made it into a Christmas tree ornament for us as a surprise! It was beautiful! And now, after our wedding, when we've received the digital copies of our wedding photos, we couldn't be happier with them. She and her assistant captured our magical day beautifully!
