Katie Ward, Justice of the Peace

Working with Katie was great. After meeting with several potential officiants, Katie stood out. Having a winter wedding we were concerned about the possibility of inclement weather causing issues. Katie was the first to offer more than just "I'll do my best to make it if the weather is bad". She had multiple contingency plans, which she walked us through on our first call together. When it came to planning our ceremony, Katie worked with us to put together a fun, memorable, and personal experience for us and our guests. At our rehearsal and on our wedding day she was wonderful, working with us while we practiced, and then flawlessly performing our ceremony. She returned our Marriage License to the town very quickly as well, so we were able to get our Marriage Certificate just a couple of business days later. We were very happy with everything Katie did for us.

I was very nervous about our ceremony with our handfasting and incorporating it in. Katie was on top of everything. She finds the most beautiful blessings to read and sends you an entire outline of the ceremony in advance so that you know exactly what to expect. The ceremony went smooth, everyone could hear her speak which is important, and she made sure my husband and I knew what we were doing so we didn't look foolish. Thank you again Katie for the beautiful ceremony and all the time you spent putting the readings together!
