Hi my name is Katlyn Bartoszek I am the head makeup artist and bridal coordinator of a freelance studio called, Local Kolor Studio, right here in the Cleveland area. Let me tell you a little about myself! I started my journey in the makeup world 7 years ago when I picked up and moved to NYC to go to one of the top makeup schools in the country called, 'Makeup Designory NYC'. I graduated there with a beauty makeup/ special FX/ hair styling certification in 2014. After I graduated, I decided to pick up and move back home to the Northeast Ohio. When I arrived' I immediately started building my own brand and was doing lots of editorial / wedding makeup. I FELL IN LOVE with bridal makeup so that is what I decided to focus my career on and have now been a bridal specialist for 5 years! Our freelance studio doesn't just provide makeup but have a well rounded team of makeup and hair stylists! I am determined to give every client and/ or bride the best possible service using nothing but top of the line products such as Tatcha, Urban Decay, Estee Lauder, ABH, Benefit, Dior, NARS, and Milk just to name a few. the bride) into a panic multiple times. We even went as far as contacting other hair/make up professionals because it was starting to seem like she wouldn’t show. She was the only vendor that caused any problems. Wouldn’t send a schedule, tried to book another event after the wedding (leaving my sister ready for her wedding 3 hours before it began??) and just over all unresponsive. She isn’t the type of person who should work on weddings if she can’t communicate. It’s a recipe for stress for the bride. Most wedding vendors know this- she does not. Here’s the kicker. She sends a text before the wedding stating that “industry standard” tip is 30% for hair and make up. Which is a flat out lie. Overall- just a bad experience. My advice to her would be to immediately STOP sending the 30% tip text. It’s a.) a lie and b.) tasteless c.) resulted in us tipping her less than industry standard with all things considered. She made a very large sum on money for her day of work and to expect another 30% on top of that is outrageous. Funny part is I would have likely tipped her that if she wasn’t rude and unresponsive.

She and her team made me feel the most beautiful I have ever felt, and my bridesmaids looked stunning too.
