was amazing to work with and extremely helpful when planning the photos. I highly recommend anyone to use her services. She is amazing at her job and so so kind.

She would show up for a brief moment of time here and there but was not there for the full 6 hrs. we had paid for. We later learned that Katy was shooting another wedding at the same time as ours at the other venue down the hill. This information was not disclosed to us when booking or when we had to move our date due to us having our baby girl. If we had know that we would not have Katy shooting our wedding and would only have assistance taking pictures, we would have never booked with Katy because. This is because we thought Katy was the one who would be taking our photos & that’s what we had paid for. We paid to have our main hired photographer there for our entire wedding and be as invested as in our day as we were, but it seemed she was more interested in just making more money. We then had issues with our sneak peak when we were told that we would have a sneak peak by the end of the week. I had to reach out to Katy to get photos of my husband & I. We had gotten a “sneak peak” of just myself initially, but when you get married you want your photos to be of you & your now spouse. We asked Katy for a, just 1 photo, of the two of us to be able to make thank you cards and we kept receiving poorly edited photos and got multiples that we weren’t asking for. It felt like our album was then rushed to completion, because it wasn’t being understood we were looking for a photo of just us to be able to even post about our wedding/make thank you cards. We wouldn’t have even asked for anything if we weren’t told that we would be getting a sneak peak, otherwise we would’ve just waited. I do wanna say that the assistant photographers although seemed confused on what were happening were fantastic & super helpful with everything going on. I just wish if I knew they were going to my photographers I would’ve rather paid them directly. We were also supposed to receive a gift set of 100 4x6 photos printed out for us as stated in our signed contract and we never got that, and it’s been almost two years. I am grateful that Katy was flexible with us for moving our date twice due to having a baby & dealing with post-partum. I had such great hopes for our wedding day after our engagement pictures turned out stunning & expected that editing and photo style for our wedding day, and heck even expected that level of attention from Katy as she was fabulous to work with during our engagement shoot, but I learned I would be quite disappointed. It’s super frustrating to have spent the money we did and have such a poor experience. I just cant imagine any other bride going through this on their wedding day and I hope maybe this was just a fluke so nobody else experiences this. This was almost two years ago, and I’m still sad looking back at our photos that we will never be able to recreate again. I still have not developed photos, I barely look at our downloaded album, and I haven’t hung up anything up from our wedding day as it’s to emotional & disappointing to look at. As it just reminds me of crying after getting our wedding album back and realize I can’t do anything about it now. I see so many families be able to have their photographer capture them as an engaged couple, getting married, and even having babies, and it so sad to say we will not get to have that experience for us.

worked with other photographers and shared our troubles with other couples I finally felt like I had to post this. My husband & I wanted to take some time to share our experience with Katy & our wedding day. On our wedding day our contract was slated to have Katy show up at 1:30 PM (ceremony start time of 4 PM) to shoot getting ready photos & multiple other photos we were looking for from our big day. The first problem that started our day was that two assistant photographers showed up and had no idea where Katy was, and it was complete chaos and felt like they didn’t know what was going on or know what photos I wanted done. I had asked multiple times “where is Katy” and the assistants claimed to have no idea & that they had not heard from her (more to come on this later). I barely got any photos of my bridesmaids and I getting ready & in our matching pajamas. I have 3, 3 photos to choose from, and this was important to me to have captured from our big day. I also sent Katy a list of shots that I wanted for our pre ceremony photos and one of them was my daughter “wearing my dress” this did not happen & was not even brought up due to Katy still not being here during the time these photos were to occur. It was almost half an hour later than Katy showed up to start helping “direct” anything that was happening. There was poor communication from the photographers with the bridesmaid and who was supposed to be where to take photos since Katy was late and it didn’t seem like the assistant photographers had any idea what was happening due to no communication. The photos we receiving of our first kiss most have a photographer in the frame which is awful since I can’t get these printed since they have someone in the background, I can edit them but that’s not fair for me to have spent the money we did to have to do work for the pictures. Then the other ones are facing the opposite way and have other people in them. We don’t have pictures of us actually cutting our cake as the photos were taken at a poor angel. A good portion of our photos are poor angles, people have eyes closed, & mouthes half opened. Especially the formals between my husband and I, plus the ones of us with our daughter. We do not have one truly good picture of the three of us which was so important to include her in our wedding, and the photos we have poor lightening & editing. I ended up spending time deleting more photos (most were duplicates over & over) than we actually liked and barely have good photos to choose from. We barely got any sunset photos, we knew the timeline was tight and when discussed it seemed like it would work out, but the ones we got were so poorly edited or we weren’t even looking at the camera and they were taken from another photographer It’s just disappointing when you see one style of editing on social media & then you get back an entirely different style of pictures than what you were expecting. It also seems like whomever edited the photos didn’t pay attention to the pictures they were taking as many were poor quality, and not even touched up in the slightest. You’re paying thousands of dollars, you would expect the bare minimum you would think.
