Kay Mitchell Photography is a photography & videography team based on the California Central Coast. This duo loves to travel and captures weddings from Thousand Oaks, CA to San Jose, CA and beyond! Husband-and-wife owners, Katherine and Abraham Mitchell, are affectionately known as Kay and Bram by their clients. These experts are all about providing a personalized experience where they establish real connections with the to-be-wed couple. Kay and Bram have been wedding industry ever-presents for several years, curating an impressive collection of work to show for it. The pair are well-known for their diverse photography style that ranges from traditional to contemporary and many other influences in between. What’s more, they place emphasis on creating a comfortable environment for their couples, helping them to feel natural in front of the lens. Their work can be described as natural, romantic, bright and FUN! Kay Mitchell Photography is all about making the planning process as streamlined and straightforward as possible. Additional photo shoots are available with options ranging from engagement and boudoir to trash-the-dress and day-after sessions. Kay and Bram capture everything in high-resolution digital photographs. Kay Mitchell Photography also offers videography, a cool photo booth and event coordination and planning services, all of which are discounted when paired with a photography package.

She’s on top of it and you can tell she LOVES what she does. I always felt well taken care of by Kay. With that being said, coupling up Mitchell photography with wedding planning is the way to go. Once my wedding day came and we finally met face to face and it was like we have been friends for a long time. She didn’t make my bridal party and I out of place. She helped me feel so relaxed when I was stressing out over my wedding due to a music festival that was going to take place right next to our wedding; she even contacted the music festival. She even helped when I was getting lost with the time and not knowing what else was next on our wedding day. She knew that I was going to be very emotional on my wedding day since my mom had passed when I was younger & that I wanted to honor her and that my real father and step father would be at my wedding; well she made sure she captured it all! Her second shooter; her husband was so awesome as well especially when I asked for a certain picture which meant he had to lay in the sand ; he didn’t hesitate at all! Hi! I'm Katherine (or Kay!) and I am seriously wedding obsessed. So much so I have multiple wedding related businesses! I do everything from photography, videography wedding planning and so much more. I'm the photographer who wants to make sure each couple I work with has the BEST DAY EVER and feels 1000% comfortable in front of the camera. Together with my BFF (aka my awesome Hubby) we have built a fool proof process of making sure we give couples not just great service on a professional level, but true friendship too!
