She has been working with brides professionally for over a decade, but her passion for styling began in her small hometown of Sturgis, Michigan, where she would do all her friends’ hair and makeup for school dances. Now living her best life as a Bridal & High Fashion specialist, Kaylyn graduated from Douglas J Aveda Institute in 2013, moved to NYC in 2015 and completed her course at NYC Makeup Academy. Kayla saved my wedding day. I originally had booked a different hair and make-up artist. During the trial with these artist, I didn’t feel or look like myself. in fact, I didn’t feel very pretty at al, not the way a bride should feel on their wedding day. that’s when I was recommended Kayla from my sister-in-law. Kayla was able to use reference photos that I provided her as well as working collaboratively with me to come up with the perfect look. She also used her experience and expertise to help transfer the parts I liked from the reference photos to my complexion and preferences. Kayla provided me the perfect mixture of elegant, classic and elevated make up and hair. Kayla and her team are very quick yet super, thorough and detailed. I never once felt rushed by her or her team. They were super flexible too, especially since I changed my hairstyle the night before the wedding. Kayla and her team did an amazing job accommodating the vastly different styles of our wedding party which ranged from individuals that were 15- mothers in their 60’s. Everybody felt very beautiful, which isnt always the case when people get their hair and make up done.

Kaylyn did hair for me and my bridal party and makeup for me for my wedding. She was fabulous! I showed her photos of two styles I wanted to mesh together and she did it flawlessly and thought to also add some baby’s breath which was a finishing touch I didn’t know I needed. But she knew! She really sees the vision and executes with her whole heart and soul which is exactly what you need for your wedding day! Most of all she is much fun and she truly cares about making your day special. Run, don’t walk to book her.

Kaylyn styled my hair for my wedding, and it was to die for!! I have naturally wavy hair, but it's wild and frizzy and it doesn't normally hold heat curls all that well. I have had other stylists do my hair for prom and as a bridesmaid a couple of times, and it never turns out quite right. She did a PERFECT job. I have not had such a great experience before or since. She did my make up as well, and as someone who rarely wears make up, I felt like an absolute princess that day. Definitely recommend, 10/10.
