My passion for photography has only grown since my first year of college. Let me tell you, I couldn't have asked for a better (or more frustrating) love. There are technical aspects of photography, a beautiful history behind it, hundreds of controversial conversations that have been discussed in regards to it, and most of all there is always a story that runs alongside it. What started out as a desire to no longer be an ever so common and unattractive "undecided," quickly became a need to capture the world as I saw it, taking moments in time that could never be replaced.

gagement photos done prior to hiring Kayci but were not crazy about them. We didn't feel comfortable and felt a little too posy in our first engagement session. Fast forward to our engagement shoot with Kayci and she made us feel totally comfortable and as if we were hanging out with our good friend (who just so happened to be a fab photographer). My husband and I got in the car after our shoot and looked at each other and just started going on and on about how excited we were that she was our wedding photographer. Now how often does a guy care/talk about those things? She's that awesome. On our wedding day Kayci showed up early to my hotel room, helped me with last minute makeup touch up's, calmed me down, settled my nerves, coordinated family photos, group photos, danced with us, and captured every. single. moment. Almost every guest raved about how amazing our photographer was. NO JOKE! Every time I look at our wedding photos I get all of those same feelings I had on that day. I can't thank Kayci enough! She's a heart of gold and I'm so glad she was apart of the most special day.

fairly easy to get ahold of any time we had questions. One of the main reasons we liked her work was the natural, candid feel of everything - nothing looked or felt awkwardly staged.
We highly recommend Kayci for engagement photos or a “lifestyle” photo shoot. We ended up getting a second shooter for the wedding ceremony (against Kayci’s preference) and we’re glad that we had him. There were just a few shots that naturally are difficult for just one person to capture. Kayci was great on the wedding day though, taking charge, being decisive and even helping with random wedding details that were totally outside her scope. Ultimately, we do recommend Kayci for your wedding shoot, too, just make sure you let her know if there are any particular images you want, and consider hiring a second shooter for the ceremony.

into the super "posy" pictures, so it was nice working with someone that allowed us to feel like we were just hanging out. It took the pressure off of us! Not to mention the pictures were more than we could have asked for. She edited them and sent them to us in a timely manner. We have received endless compliments from our friends and family about them!
All that to say is, if you are looking for an engagement session that will be a genuine reflection of you and your soon to be spouse, call Kayci.
